Ipod wont charge unless pressure is enforced?

My nano (2nd generation) does not show the charging icon unless I put force on the ipod so that the ipod connector and nano are secure? However as time goes on it becomes harder and harder to charge the ipod and more and more pressure is needed..
I have tried laying it flat on a flat surface and connecting it (without pressure) to charge but it does not show the charging icon. I am sure that the wire is fully inserted into the ipod space, and I have had this problem with a previous ipod shuffle (1st gen), and 2 minis (1st generation). help me please!

yup have to put pressure when i want to charge or put new music on. but im scared that if i keep applying pressure it will damage the ipod! grrr

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try a different charger and/or power cord. If that does nor work, you could have a bad battery.

  • My iPhone 4 wont charge unless it is off. can't restore

Hello everyone. My iPhone 4 wont charge unless it is off. It is currently running ios 5.1. I can't restore because it won't connect when turning on! I have tried updating to ios6 via software update tab but it just responds with software update failed!

Well, look it up on the internet.  Surely if you were able to find this site, you can find out where there's an Apple store near you.

You can does that plug your iPod somewhere else like the sockets on walls because sometimes the mac is getting less power so it cant give a bit of power to your iPod if it gives the mac will shut down
If in the socket it doesn't charge get New power adapted if it still doesn't charge get a new USB cable if it still doesn't charge take it to apple :)

My phone wont charge unless it's powered down.

Charging of the phone normally turns it on. If you are having trouble like that, I suggest you contact the seller and see about a refund. Something wrong with that phone.

  • IPod wont charge, turn on or appear on PC

I am very disappointed in the apparent build quality of these players, my fist one's screen stopped working and under the warranty I got a replacement - which is just stopped working completely for no apparent reason after less than 4 months! Useless, will certainly be looking elsewhere for my next mp3 player is this is deemed acceptable - for the features I can get a different brand cheaper than a repair!
The iPod wont charge or turn on after it ran out of battery a couple of days ago, and the computer wont recognise it. I've tried switching cables, computers and docks.
Is there anything I can do without spending a silly amount on a replacement refurbished iPod?

I'm going to bump post this once before I go out and look for a non-apple mp3 player : ).
