Ipod wont connect into itunes :(
Hi I need some help with my 4GB Ipod Nano
I tried everything and nothing seems to be working, whenever i plug in the usb cable into the computer and into the ipod, it just starts charging, it doesn't work on itunes nothing opens, it automatically charges, i tried the 5r'z i've installed/uninstalled itunes i looked through everything in my computer and nothing works, so i was wondering if someone could please help me
i have been trying for over 1 week already
I dont know what to do now...

When I plug in my Ipod touch it has a symbol on it saying connect to Itunes. When I connect it to Itunes it says I need to unlock my Ipod before I can connect to Itunes but my Ipod touch wont even let me put a code in, it just has that symbol. I tried uninstalling Itunes and restarting the computer then installing Itunes again but nothing changed. I have never heard of this before so I don't know what to do!
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Every time I try to get on itunes store on my ipod it tells me that it "cannot connect to itunes store", I've tried everything even restored the ipod to factory settings and nothing, can some one please give a solution that will work?

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to 3G, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router

From what you've said, it seems as though the iPod has some incorrect information in its memory. The first thing to do, in this case, is to reset it. This is a lot like rebooting your computer as it clears out the memory but doesn't erase any files.
To do this on your particular iPod, first slide the hold switch on, then off. Then, hold down the middle (select) button and the "Menu" button for about five seconds. When the Apple logo appears, you can release both buttons.
If this doesn't fix your problem, you may need to update the software on the iPod itself. This is fairly easy to do, but will require you to copy your music back onto the iPod again, so it's better to start by resetting it. -
When i try to connect my ipod it just sais i cant because i dont have the 64-bit version.. but i have just installed it and it still wont work.. anybody have a clue what to do here? i need to update my ipod because it have os4.1

I've tried the troubleshooting suggestions mentioned here... but maybe I missed one... can anyone help?I'm also having this problem but it seems only to have occurred once I introduced my iPad Mini to iTunes (this may have been coincidental of course!). The cable I'm using is the one which came with my iPod Touch version 4.2.1 (bought on the 23rd of July 2010) and the cable still charges the iPod as it always has. I don't have the luxury of being able to try logging in to iTunes on any other computer but I've tried absolutely everything that has been suggested in the support pages. I really want to delete some of the music from this iPod but I think I need to be able to sync with iTunes to do so. Is it just that my 3 year old iPod is just too old for the latest version of iTunes?

So my friend had my iPod and he disabled it to where it said "iPod disabled connect to iTunes" but my computer will not connect to iTunes and I really need to know if there's a way I can restore my iPod?
Restore, if iTunes will let you. Everything except the password will be restored. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. Be forewarned that it takes a long time. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
