Ipod wont update to itunes!! plz help

hi all,
okay, my ipod connects to itunes and starts charging, but it wont actually go into itunes, like in the sources list. So i just dont know what to do, becuase it connects with the do not disconnect thing like it usually does, but now it doesnt go into itunes in the source list, so i cant update the music on my ipod! is there anything i can do?!? Thanks!

Heya guys. After installing Itune 6.0, I seem to be having problems with my Itunes recognizing my Ipod. You Might need update the software (ipod updater) (downloadable at www.apple.com) it might be your ipod software. what model is your ipod?

My 2nd gen ipod wont restore through itunes. Help?

I have been given a 2nd gen ipod and it wont reset and restore itself. It keeps saying connect to itunes and it wont update and the ipod has a password on it but it wont let me put it in. When itunes is trying to recover it and it keeps failing and having a error message. Please help!!!

I recently had to wipe my hard drive to repair windows, now when I try to sync my I-pod nano it tries to "delete and sync" all my songs I have purchased and downloaded from this very same computer. I need to know how to either get my ipod to resync back to this computer or how to re-aquire the songs I have already purchased. please help, I am new to I-pods! thanks!

With your iPod connected, have you tried using the *File-> Transfer Purchases* options?
Otherwise, another work around would be to copy all the music currently on your iPod to your new iTunes library. From there, you can "Erase and Sync" the iPod with your new iTunes library or opt to restore it.

Ipod wont sync with itunes please help

when i connect my ipod it comes up with a message saying my ipod needs itunes 7.6
but itunes 7.6 needs windows xp service pack 2 i only have windows xp service pack 1
i have tried to get it off windows but it says
"No new updates offered after September 2006; previous
updates available"
what can i do can i put my music on my ipod any other way?
can i get service pack 2?
how can i contact apple about it?

I have the same issue with my iPod nano Gen 3, but my husbands'--bought 1 week later--will sync just fine. Let me know if you get a resolution.

Iphone wont update on iTunes? Help!

Hi, I need help! I'm not able to update my 4s on iTunes . It starts back -up but only gets as far has 2/7 & then says it can't back-up! Any suggestions? It also needs to be forced closed after because my pc freezes?

I forget if Step 2 is Applications or not, but some people have had an Application that was not fully installed on their iTunes or their iPhone and this has caused it not to Sync. Take a look through your Apps and just see if you downloaded one that is not as yet fully installed.

Ipod wont update from itunes

my ipod was not updating with new songs i had downloaded. it would just say ipod updated and nothing happened. so i wiped it clean using the restore function to start from scratch and i am getting the same situation. it won't update any songs now and just says ipod updated. not sure what to do. anyone have any advice?

Hello,
Go to "Edit> preferences> iPod" and set your option for "manual".
Now, go to your iTunes library, and select what songs you want to put on your iPod, then drag-and-drop them into the name of your iPod in the left source area in iTunes.
You may want to simply manually manage your music like this, dragging the songs from the library, and simply dropping them to your iPod. This might avoid the kind of issues you were having.

IPod wont update after iTunes Update

Recently installed iTunes 6.0.3.5 from 6.0.2
Afetr the update i can no longer update songs. I connect the iPod and it shows in iTunes, it seems to update for a split second then nothing happens.
I have searched around the forums for fixes with no luck.
Possible bug in 6.0.3.5?

Hi, itunes wont update on windows7, and after unsuccesfull updates (several) now my ipod wont read on itunes, it does show up on windows as a driver, have researched this a lot ,getting weary now..have deleted affliliated apple files etc , reinstalled , have several issue messages, one warning was , please download manually , go to tools and download? how do i do this? cant find a toolbar for this download? please help.

If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

IPod Software updater in iTunes 7.0 wont Update my iPod

Every time I try to update my iPod's software from 1.1 to 1.2 using the embedded updater in 7.0, I get a message saying that the update cant be completed because the iPod is in use by another program. I tried deselecting the Disk Use option but it's greyed out! I've also tried closing iTuneshelper.exe and iPodservice.exe - but no use- Please Help...

I'm having a similar problem, but it says that it cannot update my ipod because I am not connected to the internet.
