  • Ipod & Xbox 360 Problem

When I hook up my 5th gen Ipod to my xbox 360, only the songs without protected AAC play. Is there any way to convert Protected AAC to something like mp3 or wma? Or is there some way to let the Xbox play them, because I can't play a lot of my favorite songs right now.
    Thanks for the Help

And no, unfortunately, burning the protected AAC files as an audio cd and re-importing them is not legal either
Of course you can burn purchased tracks. This is allowable by Apple under the Terms of Service for the iTunes Music Store.

  • WRT300N and xbox 360 help

    Hi.
I just picked up the WRT300N - upgraded to the latest firmware:
    Firmware Version: v0.93.9
I am using WEP security for my wireless. I can connect fine with various computers/laptops, getting good IP addresses, etc.
From my xbox 360 - fails to get an IP address.
Before the wrt300n I had a Apple Airport saucer thingy, and I had to disable security to get the xbox to get a valid IP. I do not want to disable security on the linksys - this should work.
Can anyone help out with this? Not sure what else to try here.

    Hi. . .
As You Are Not Getting An Ip Address On The Xbox. You Can Try Giving In A Static Ip Address To Your Xbox(manual). You can try

  • Xbox 360 Help

I bought a wireless adapter for my xbox 360, but my router apparantly rejects the transmission. it says on my 360 that im connected but when i try to connect to live, it says im not connected. the light on the back of the adapter is red, i cant get a green light. im pretty sure its the router thats the problem, anyone have a solution?

    Before anything:
1- Power cycle your modem and router.
2- go to the router interface (default is 192.168.1.1) in a browser connected to the network and disable upnp. It seems it solved recent connections problems for many xbox users
Which test is failing in the xbox "test xbox Live connection" tests? If its the IP test, as said, make sure the xbox network settings are correct. Do a Reset to Factory Defaults on the xbox and re-enter your wireless and security settings if you have any.

  • Ipod Xbox 360

can you play song bought on itunes on the Xbox 360 i cant find any of my songs

    Hi!
"I heard Plays For Sure didn't work..."
    Hahahahaha!
It's called "Plays For SURE" and it doesn't play.
    Oh, the irony.
    I'm totally ****** about all this music/video downloading/sharing crap.
If they had ONE standard, it would be OK (that's what a STANDARD is), but there are many, and they are non-compatible.
I was trying to listen to an Avril album that I bought my son on RealPlayer (.rax files). RealPlayer said I wasn't authorized to listen to the Avril tracks. Not authorized? I BOUGHT them with my credit card. I only have ONE profile with one username and password on RealPlayer. ***???
Then, I'm trying to listen to some tracks via Windows Media Player, and it says I don't have the license for them. Here I am, holding the CD that I BOUGHT and that I loaded onto my hard drive, and the crap MS software is telling me I don't have the rights to my own music!
Then the "record" companies (and there's the problem there-they haven't figured out they're MUSIC companies and NOT RECORD companies-nobody buys records now...you idiots!) wonder why people are "illegally" swapping and sharing media.
Maybe it's because you F'ed it all up, and legitimate buyers can't even listen to the music they legally purchased.
    ARE ANY MUSIC EXECS LISTENING?????!!!!!!!
Morons.... must've gotten their MBAs at the same schools the airline execs did.

  • Networking with a Xbox 360 help

At my college you can't directly connect to the internet without downloading their software and verify the computer. Because of this I can't just plug my 360 into the wall and go on XBL. Seeing as the Mac Pro has two ethernet ports, I tried sharing the internet and no matter what I did, the 360 could never connect. After using Bootcamp and loading up XP, it configured a network for me and I got the 360 to work. The problem is I don't like switching back and forth between Mac and XP so I was hoping someone could show me how to configure my network seeing as it is possible. Any help would be great.

I know this is way late and you probably don't need an answer anymore but what the heck. Internet sharing never really worked for me in Tiger but it is working now in Leopard. And also I've discovered that getting your NAT settings on and in order will help allot. It's a bit complicated to configure NAT settings and you wont find anything about out it in system preferences but you might depending on weather your using a router, ethernet DSL Modem. Not all DSL modems have NAT configurations and if you don't that's probably a good thing and you don't have to worry about ti then. But if you do, call your ISP and ask how to configure NAT settings (network address translation) They should help. Ok well I hope this helps somebody if not you.

  • Ipod on Xbox 360, some songs don't show up

I recently bought an Xbox 360, I have been using my Ipod to listen to music but some songs don't show up in Xbox playlist, particularly the music I have bought and downloaded from Itunes music store, Is it some kind of protected format, what can I do to fix it, any help would be great, thanks

This isn't foolproof but there are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name (as mentioned above) in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances but the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous in place of a title. See this link for more detail: I don't see some of my songs when browsing by artist on my iPod
Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Compilations are stored in a separate folder in iTunes so the songs don't appear inside the normal Artist>Album folder which may be why this happens.

  • Playing iphone or ipod music through an Xbox 360 system

    Hey everyone,
I'm trying to find out if its possible to play music from an ipod or iphone through an Xbox 360 system. I purchased a DRM-Free song from itunes and tried to play it through my Xbox 360 system with my ipod but it still won't play. The only songs that play are the ones from CD's. Is there any way that I could play the ones from itunes through my Xbox 360 system? Please Help,Thanks.

Correction, you can play acc files. You will need to download the codec for it from the Xbox LIVE Markplace (for free).
To listen to unprotected AAC files from your iPod music player
    1. Go to the Game Marketplace and open All Games.
    2. Scroll down the alphabetical list and select O.
    3. Select Optional Media Update, then Optional iPod Support.
    4. Select Confirm Download. The download is free.
    5. Once your download is complete, select Continue and return to the Xbox Dashboard (press B a few times).

  • Using Xbox 360 to play Ipod

When I hook up my Ipod to my xbox 360, only certain songs will play. I think it is because of the format(AAC) which doesn't seem to work on xbox 360. Is there any way to convert songs to MP3 or WMA on Itunes? Also, if you know any other ways to get all the songs to play on the xbox 360, could you please help me out.
    Thanks
    Ipod 4g   Windows XP

you cant. ipod touches do not support 'disk mode' like other ipods, so you wont be able to access your music files (you can access photos, because it is possible to save photos to your ipod using either the screenshot/save from safari options)
there is third party software available which will do this, try google (or whichever search engine you prefer). you could also try using the search box for these forums, other people may have suggested software for other people to use.
