IPodTouch and iPhone belong to different people but are receiving same texts

My daughter just got an iPod Touch. For some reason, her texts show up on my wife's iPhone and my wife's texts show up on her iPod. Can anyone help get this ironed out? Thanks so much for your time!

- Create a NEW account/Apple ID for your daughter using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
- Use the new iD for Settings>Messages>Send and receive
- If you want here to have her own FaceTime and Calendar and Contacts the also use the new ID for Settings>FaceTime and Settings>iCloud

I've got the exact same problem and this is very annoying as i like to keep my conversations tidy on all my Apple devices.
This is happening to me with just one contact, all others work fine.
Deleting the contact and conversation, then adding the contact again and starting a new conversation doesn't seem to help in any way, the problem persists.
Have you stumbled upon a solution yet?

Visual voicemail is a carrier feature, contact your cell phone provider and see if it is set up for you to use.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.

(A) Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
(B) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

You should be able to log out of iCloud on your Mac and then log in with the ID used on your other devices.

Download them to the computer to which the iPod is synced, re-sync.

You're welcome.
First check to be sure the new phone is running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up (Settings>General>About>Version). If it isn't, you'll need to update the iOS first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the options, choose Restore from iCloud backup and follow the prompts, choosing the backup of your personal phone to restore to.
Be sure the phone is connected to wifi and your charger while it is restoring the backup.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?
