IPprofile set lower

I signed up for BTInfinity Option 1, during my 3 months free period I decided to upgrade to Option 2 unlimited package with no problems.
Throughout the first 3 months my IPprofile was set to 38500 dl and 10000 upload which pretty awesome compared to the paltry 1.5mb I got from Sky, and I always maxed out on my download speed at any time of the day.
However I am now paying full whack £48/month and since then my IP profile has been changed to 17420 dl and 10000 upload( however max up speed has been on 1.5Mb if I am lucky).
Customer services has been a total waste of time, and so far 2 emails have remain unanswered so here looking for other options.
So far I feel I have been sucked in on a quality service, and now expected to accept a shoddier service now I am paying for it, much as I did with Sky.
Any help would be appreciated, I have tried all the basics router reboot, hub3 reboot etc, and nothing has changed inside the house and or the PC.

Hi Gismoid and welcome.
Have a look at THIS THREAD Msg#4 from Nige and contact form to request the profile reset in msg. #5.
If you detail your problem the Mods can make a decision on actioning just a reset or looking further at some hardware replacement.
Make sure you copy your threads URL and add that to the contact form.
Also is your Modem wall mounted? It's cooling vents work better that way.
If your profile reduces again you may have a hardware problem and the first thing I'd suspect would be that Openreach Modem..... Jumping to conclusion I know but it has got a bit of a reputation.

I also noticed there is no place to set the 'default' sound, seems the agenda-alarm-settings are "nowhere" (not in profiles anyway, I think) ?

All you can do is adjust the volume on your current profile, go if you want to reduce the volume of your alarm tone, change profile when you set the alarm, and set the ringing volume on the new profile at a volume you are happy with !

Is there any way I may set low resources priority for a specific job or even all SQL jobs?
Our database is quite big and everything works OK and very fast, except SQL jobs which are used mainly for maintenance purposes.
I have one specific job which runs for 2 minutes and takes a lot of resources which may affect execution of other stored procedure which should be executed fast.The worst part is that this job has to be executed during the most active working hours. It does
not matter for me how long will it take to execute this job. I just do not want it to use so much resources.
Also I noticed when SQL backup job (takes about 4 minute) is scheduled it also takes a lot of resources and sometimes because of that I am receiving "login timeout" error on my web site.

depending on you sql server version and edition, you can use resource governor and limit the cpu and memory.
in most typical cases , you can use the session user name and times and classify the how much cpu and memory they can use. refer : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645892.aspx
but in your case, the problem seems to be with the maintenance jobs which could run as sql server service account.
also, if the backup are third party tool backup, you can specify the priority level and other options etc to make it less priority.
it is possible to do that even with native backups such as specifying the limiting buffercount, max transfer size, if the server is memory pressured. sometimes, stripping the backups to multiple sets across different devices, could help as well. even though
stripping the backups can introduce another complexity.
may be you need to rethink you back up\recovery strategy.

Control Waveform Graph - Set Lower Limit and Autoscale Upper Limit

In a waveform graph is their a way to set the lower graph Y limit at zero and then have it autoscale the maximum Y limit as a percentage (150% for example) of the maximum Y graph value ?

Boot Attempt fails (set low stack and boot via INT 19h)

Ok, I have had my computer running and very stable in windows,one day I was doing some benchmarks between ram in running dfferent timmings and speeds of the ram. I went back in the bios and changed the settings back to auto(which I have been running very stable in), It rebooted, the it froze during post, where it has that pill. So I thought I should clear the cmos, so I put the jumpers on 2,3,
waited a min. then put it back on 1,2 , rebooted, and still frozed, and still want able to get into the bios!
So, I put the d-bracket in and has now the
RG
GG
Which is boot attempt,
So I unplugged eveything, the Proc juice, Mobo, sata, all the good stuff.
And took out the battery.
I left it out for over a 24hr period.
So today I cameback and still get the same signal.
What do I do now?

It don't sound happy.
Usually changing to another Ram stick clears the 'jam', where it has frozen with timings that are then 'stuck'. Anything differant happen with the other stick, like beeps?
The only other thing that has been known to work is to remove the vid card, leave for 5 mins,and replace, along with the differant Ram stick. Even better if you have a PCI vid card, and leave the AGP one out.
What happens with the bios floppy in A: holding down ctrl + home as it boots, re initialises the bios, and flashes it again.
Is the bios chip soldered in, or is it a pushfit one.

How to set upper and lower limit for service notification in SPRO

I am new to SAP PM and to SCN as well.
I have a question on Service notification user status.
I have notification profile configured in SAP as below:

Once you change the status to previous status, just save the order. Then again open the order & try to change the user status.
Just I made replica of your profile. I could able to change (even without saving the order).

So, my question is, why the ondemand governor can switch only between 2.10GHz and 1.3Ghz ? Should'nt switch between 2.6Ghz and 900MHz ?
I've tried to set lower frequency to 900 MHz whit the command :

but nothing changed, the lower frequency still remained 1.3Ghz

I've tried ondemand and userspace governors but the situation is the same whit both of them, I always get hardware limits 1.30 - 2.10 GHz.
I've also tried to set the processor.ignore_ppc=1 boot flag, but it was selfish.
Someone could help me ? At least to set the lower frequacy to 900MHz so I can save a bit of battery.

Siri volume seems low - any way to increase it?

I just got a new iPhone 5 today and am trying Siri for the first time. It seems to work ok, but the volume of Siri's voice seems quite low to me.
The speakers on the iPhone 5 itself are ok because I can play music in iTunes very loudly, so it's not the general volume settings or the speakers. It seems to be just Siri's voice.
Is there any way to increase Siri's voice volume?

Never mind. I see. Siri simply has it's own volume and you can adjust it while in Siri itself. It was set low by default.

Printing a web page has always been difficult, and not just in LabVIEW. I'm no expert, but I think you have to actually reformat (or create a new page) for printing. That's why most web sites have a "Print" button.

Encore changes lower filed to upper in dvd header when working with m2p assetand not transcoding

i have full compatible m2p and audio files that doesn't need transcoding. i like to make subtitles by importing text script with encore 1.5. the problem is:
my m2p file is lower filed and even if encore doesn't encode the original m2p file (not trnascode) the output video seems to have upper field tag in dvd header. since it is not re-encoded (i know it for sure, also authoring is done very quick) the video is still lower field but encore marks it as if it was upper field. so the dvd player tries to play lower field video as if it were upper filed and i see interlacing problem on the video.
even i don't re-encode the video i tried to check the field dominance in pre-rendering options and it is set lower field also.
while making a new project encore doesn't ask you whether your project is lower or upper field. and there is no menu i can adjust it_ so what encore renders is soft subtitle picture files.
i think the problem is just that encore write as default upper field to the header for not transcoded videos. if this is the case it is a BIG bug. does anyone know a soluiton

I used the standard export definitions from Premiere CS5.5 (windows media / download the pal-widescreen source for high quality = 720x576 pixel, codec Windows Media Video 9, 25 fps, pixel D1/DV Pal widescreen 16:9) for instance.
But it doesn´t matter which template I use, all other versions (from HDTV 1080p to HDTV 720p) had the same result.
Avis make no problems, but as soon as I choose the files, Premiere exported as wmv, Encore cuts off the upper half... :-(
I understand how video formats work, but I don´t have any idea why Encore is unable to import the full picture...
I also checked if there are any updates available, but the updater declared all installed versions as up to date...
By the way, Ahead Nero Vision has no problems with the import, but since I own Encore, I would prefer to use the Adobe software.

My daq card PCI6025e' digital ports PA,PB,PC are in high state and cannot be changed even in MAX 2.1 testing panel and continuously output 5 volts even set for output.

The MAX utility is the closest to the driver level and will eliminate software configuration as a possible issue. Please disconnect anything that you have connected to the DIO lines.
Use the MAX test panel for your DIO lines, configure them as outputs, and set them to a low state. Use a multimeter (DMM) to observe the line state. If it is still high then you may have a problem with your hardware. If this is the case, I advise calling National Instruments support and investigate a possible RMA (repair).

Exporting Low resolution 320 X 240 videos for my website

I am mystified by Premiere Elements 11. I want to create a 2..5 min video (e.g. mp4) that is 320 X 240 with bitrate set low enough to keep the file size under 20megs. There is NO options in the pubish drop down to adjust the final dimensions of the video, the bitrate etc. All options regarding these are greyed out (I picked the mpeg format). I can't get a video in ANY format that conforms to the desired dimensions and size; I have no good options to adjust the quality of the video to make it good enough for the website and not gigantic. I have used Ctberlink PowerDirector 11 recently and those options are readily available in that application.
Most of my videos are going to be for the web. The way premiere elements 11 works now, it's going ot be useless for my purpose.
Am I missing some way to accomplish my objective, or is the program pretty limited in the ability to customize the outputted video?

As I show you in my books, it's easy to output custom videos for your web site. You say want an MP4?
Go to Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD. Select the the Preset for Vimeo SD.
Then click the Advanced button. On the Export Settings screen that opens, go to the Video tab. Set the output size to 320x240, then click OK.
You'll be prompted to save this as a "permanent" preset so you can use it again. Type in a name like "Web site video" and you're done.

Setting uplink/downlink speed for QoS on WRT300N

I've setup QoS on this router to give my 2 voip box's high priority, http/email/video traffic medium priority, and bittorrent low priority. The problem is, there is no place to tell the router how fast my connection is.. uplink/downlink speed isn't an option. And right now the QoS isn't being effective, and low priority data is blocking high priority. How do i configure this router to manage bandwith?

Hi… Make sure you have setup correct port no under QOS. Especially check the ports used by bit torrent. Assign a Particular port to bittorrent if needed and set low priority to it. Also limit the no of peer connection per download and no of simultaneous downlaods. Also make sure that you have setup port triggers and not forwarding for your VOIP boxes

Flash Player audio setting in Win'7 Volume Control

OS is Win'7, up to date. Flash Player is 11.4. Browsers Firefox 15.0.1, Chrome 22, IE 9. When playing a video on a website, the Flash Player volume setting in Volume Control (Windows Mixer) is set to the maximum, same as my speaker volume. How can I permanently set Flash Player's volume to a setting lower than that of my speakers?

This is a known issue in Firefox and Flash Player 11.3 or higher, but our testing (and I just personally re-tested it on my Win7 machine to double-check) indicates that this works as expected in Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Nokia N8 reduce lower SAR value

Hi, I have noticed that nokia N8 has high SAR value of 1.02 W/kg when Samsung Galaxy 2 has SAR of 0.35 !
I did have not found any posts about bad reception quality on samsung, so why nokia choose so high SAR value??? My old N6680 has SAR of 0.64 and thats a phone I can use anywhere, elevators, bad receptions areas you name it.
So my quations is this:
How can I reduce - lower the SAR value of nokia N8 with service application or plugin whatever.
The Service manual for N8 uses software to test the transmitter with various levels of power settigns, so there should be a way to set lower power, that will increase battery life and you probably know WHO anounced that microwaves are cancerogenic don't you?

It is not quite as simple as that.
Phones always have to be below a particular SAR value, and depending on which part of the world you are in it is typically 2. That is already a very low level, so when you are comparing figures like 0.35 and 1.02 you are comparing two very small numbers below another small number that is already a threshold many times below which any harm would be caused.
You also should know that the figure quoted is the maximum for a range of different tests and conditions including against the head, body and hand and different channels and voice and data modes, also combined with WiFi etc..
All this means that in a typical situation when you are just making a phone call the SAR value in most phones is below than the figure quoted - although again you are still only comparing two very small numbers....
and the reason why Nokia doesn't allow you to change the power levels is that those are very carefully calibrated to meet the GSM and WCDMA standards otherwise the device would not be certified and allowed for sale, and would most likely not work....
