We have 2 ironport C170 email appliance. I would like to use a wildcard SSL Cert from Digicert for TLS communication. I have 2 questions about it :
1/ Is it possible to use wildcard certificat on ironport ?

My experience is that it works fine.
If you have multiple domains, you have to make sure that the MX records point to the A record of the box you have certs for.
eg. something like this:
mx domain1.com smtp.domain2.com
mx domain2.com smtp.domain2.com
a smtp.domain2.com x.x.x.x

Can WS name and Binding name be changed?

Hi,
When we generating the wsdl file from a sender agreement, A webservice name and Binding name have been created in the wsdl file.
web service name AS "XI_20ec1074cc28367c964b34f226098f29_Service"
and binding name as "ServiceInterfacenameBinding"
But the legacy people who are going to access this webservice need this names to be changed. is it possible from PI??
i mean like instead of "XI_20ec1074cc28367c964b34f226098f29_Service" they want some name like "getProductinformation"
and binding name like as "ProductinformationBinding"

Hi Balaji,
It s not possible within PI, as this Information is generated when you retrieve the WSDL from the Directory.
However if you want to change that you can do it manally before forwarding the WSDL to other people.
The name of Binding/Service has no impact on the call at runtime.

Can we compare and show track (data)changes in reports like MS Word?

Hello,
I have a situation where I have to compare in each field text for the original data that already there in that field, with the changed text in the same field and should show the changed data in a different color or hightlighting etc.... Is it possible in Oracle reports to do something like that....
I know its possible in MS Word when we turn on track changes, if we add new text will show in blue color and delete the text and add new text will show the deleted text as strikethrough and red color.... we are looking similar feature in Oracle reports if we can do something like this.
Can anybody please let me know if we can do that, if so how and can provide a report example would be greatly appreciated...

Let's say in your data model olds data are in the column called OLD_DATA, the new data are in the NEW_DATA. We place two fields side by side in the data model like this:
F_1 F_2
and source the first field with OLD_DATA, the second field with NEW_DATA.
Then in the format trigger of the F_2 field we put

end;The format trigger for F_1 will depend on how you want to highlight the field in case the new data is different. If like in Word you want to strike out the text, it will look like

IPrint Appliance: miggui ACL migration

I just ran a printer migration (miggui) from our OES 11 iPrint server to our iPrint appliance (version 1.0.1.69). All printers appear to have migrated successfully with no errors however I noticed that none of the printer ACLs migrated with the printers.
I was told that if I had the users imported into the iPrint appliance before the printer migration process that the ACLs would transfer during the migration process. I attempted the migration after the users were imported into the iPrint appliance with no success of the ACLs migrating from the source server.
Any ideas what I missed or how I can get the ACLs from the Source iPrint server to the Target iPrint appliance?

environment
All was working well until Firefox upgraded from v35.x to v36.x. Now,
we cannot install printers from the ipp page. The page pulls up,
printer can be selected, we get the dialog box asking about installing
the printer and the checkbox to set as default, but when proceeding
with the install the dialog disappears and no printer installation
commences.
Back-revving Firefox to v35.0.1 allows printer installation to
complete. Java ranges from 8.25 to 8.40 and the problem appears
across all, no correlation between java version and the problem
appearing-- only the FF version.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Inaccessible IronPort c670 appliance from both GUI and CLI. Can I tunnel-in from other c670 appliance in the cluster?

I am unable to access one of the 6 IronPort appliances. Also, got an error that the appliance has got disconnected from the cluster. Is there any CLI command I can use to possibly tunnel-into the faulty appliance from another appliance in the cluster to reboot?

No. Normally, from 'clustermode' you can then access machine level on the different appliance(s) in cluster. But, if this is disconnected, then that command is not going to work.
If you cannot SSH/telnet to the appliance in question, and do not have some form of remote console or access pre-configured, you will need to connect directly to the appliance, or hard boot the appliance in order to attempt to regain connectivity.

Not with the built-in AirPrint print function. However, you can download free and cheap print apps that can provide some (limited) printing abilities. HP's iPrint is one of those.

I want to be able to lay on my back (I am disabled) and type documents into the iPod Touch using a virtual keyboard. Can the appliance do this?
I would also like to use a microphone to record audio onto the hard disk. can it do this? I know the regular iPod can.
Does it have "dictation" software for it, so I can speak and have it translated to something like ext?

The iPod touch is basically just an internet enabled music/video player - not really a full-blown handheld computer (although it does share some features).
You can type into it using the on-screen touch keyboard, but it wouldn't really be suitable for long documents. Also there's no word processor, just a simple Notes application and Email.
The iPod touch does not have a microphone input. So unless someone develops an external plugin microphone no recording features are available.
There is no dictation software for it. Partly because there's no microphone input, and partly because there are no extra applications (apart from what comes with it) available for it yet. This will change once third-party developers get the SDK this month, although I don't know if dictation/translation software is even possible, let alone if someone will produce it.

Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

My speaker on my iPhone 4s stopped working. I can't hear my phone ringing, music, apps or use the speaker when having a call. I can still make and take calls when I see them calling but can't hear the phone ring.

I have had this happen to me on 3GS, 4 and 4s. Usually the solution is one of the following:
1- If your volume indicator says headphones even though they are not plugged in, then:
Stick your headphones into the headphone jack and then remove quickly.
2. If that does not work Power your phone off. Then when restarting Reset the phone by pressing the home button and the power button at the same time until the apple logo appears.
3. Make sure you have not chosen to send audio to an Airplay device such as Apple Tv.

Both Mail and Safari have Activity Options that open a screen that shows you just how the site or mail is loading.
In Safari if you are having trouble with a site in activity you will see the count of items being downloaded - and if an error occurs it shows red.
On the top is the number of items it is loading or trying to load and the count should be increasing. If the count stops, and you don't have errors it may be that too many people are going after the same site and your request just timed out. Have had the time out on a news site when trying to load a most popular article.
