IPrint error

I get the following error trying to create an iPrint printer:
Error: Create Printer Failure
Request (CLIENT_ERROR) - bad status code (0x400)
IPP Error: 0x400
The server is running these versions:
novell-iprint-iprntman-6.1.20090603.0.4.1
novell-iprint-server-6.1.20090608-0.4.1
I can't find anything related to this error message. Help!

I would say as first step to try fixing the problem, use the latest iPrint plugin for imanager. It should be the July 2009 version available here:

Iprint error on iPad! Please help!

Iprint won't print from safari on iPad. When I open a PDF & select 'open in hp iprint' it opens the iprint app but does not show me the PDF. I can open it through iBooks but then I don't have many print options. Please help!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP iPrint Photo App or checking to see if you have the most current version? Also, if you have an AirPrint capable printer, you can send the pdf directly to your printer by using the print command on your iPad.
Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

OES2 SP1 on linux iPrint issues - PCL errors.

I've created an iPrint printer for a HP Laserjet 3005 on OES2 SP1 (linux), but I have a few printing issues.
When I use PCL6 drivers all I get is a PCL XL error (IllegalOperatorSequence), and when I use PCL5e drivers, whatever it prints is missing lines (either the last 3-4 lines of a word document or of an excel spreadsheet).
To troubleshoot the problem I've already updated the drivers (by using both universal and non-universal versions), the iPrint agent (i'm now on 5.12), and the iPrint server rpms (novell-iprint-server-6.0.20081215-0.3.i586) but so far nothing has changed.
I have the same exact printer model on a netware 6.5 SP7 and everything works fine, so it seems to be a linux-only issue.
Has anybody else run into the same problem?

This is a situation with iPrint we have offen even on Netware 6.x ... I don't know how many times I got this kind of issue ... I will give you somes workarounds for this issues with iPrint, but you will need some patient !!!
HP Printers :
1) Use HP Download Manager to upgrade your printer firmware.
2) Don't use Universal Printer Drivers (it worst in some case). Used to lastest drivers for your printer on the HP website.
3) If you used a external HP JetDirect like 170x, 175x, 300x used the LPR Gateway instead of RAW on port 9100.
Redo a printing test with the "buggy" documents and check if it's prints better.
4) If you have a internal JetDirect in the printer used RAW 9100 Gateway, try to print, same problems ? try LRP Gateway ... Redo the tests ...
5) If you still have the problem, but DEFAULT, LPR causes less problem, keep LRP and downgrade your printer drivers. For an exemple : Here, you used a HP 4000 driver for a 4250 series ... Sometimes the original CD of the printer have a better driver then the one offer on the website ... ( I got so many problems with iPrint since 5 years ... ) this will takes time to troubleshoot. Last week I tried 10 differents drivers to make my HP 2300 works properly on OES 2 SP1 Linux.
6) Try to update the RPM on your server with these one ... but wait at the end if no other solutions mentionned before works.

7) Be sure also you have a XP with the lastest patches and services pack in some cases, this was the solution, but not for every printers. EX : Windows XP SP3 + All Windows Updates installed.

Iprint Client error

Hello
I have installed the Iprint client 4.15 on my Xp Stations.
When I klick at the Iprint Client Icon I see all my printed Jobs.
When I press ESC on my Keyboard I get an Error and the Iprint client will
stop working.

HP iPrint Photo problem on N97

I downloaded HO iPrint Photo on my N97 V20. I read great reviews about this app and am very keen to use it. My problem is this, I'm getting "generating thumbnails" and a task bar for about 5-10 seconds and then (no photos are available in the phone) displayed. I have hundreds of photos so why am I getting this message on the screen.
If I press on options I get "Memory full. Close some applications and try again". This is strange as there are no other applications open. I installed on mass memory E and there is lots of memory still available. Please help. Thank you in advance.

In same position. Same error message. Tried installing to different locations and still cant get it to work which is really annoying as this sounds like a really useful app. Does anyone know how to fix this!!

IPrint client 5.92 Hangs on install for Windows 8.1

We are trying to implement windows 8.1 into our tablet environment. while setting up printing to the client devices i'm running into deployment issues with the iPrint client 5.90 and 5.92, both seem to hang on the spooler update portion of the install, and are unable to recover. I have had one finish with an error stating that the spooler service did not respond in a timely manner to the startup command. however even after manually starting the spooler service the client was not installed. Any Help or hints would be most appreciated.

Docs issue, or file missing from iprint?

Section 12 of paragraps 8.3.2 reads:
check the iPrint driver store & printer manager
Start the iPrint driver store and printer manager by running the
following script: - exit_on_error
/opt/novell/iprint/bin/ncs_iprint_svc_status.
iPrint in OES11 however does not contain a file or script called
"ncs_iprint_svc_status"
I also submitted a doc comment, also telling them they made a copy and
paste error "Start the iPrint dirver store" shoudl of course read "check
the iPrint driver store".
But this might be a problem in the RPMs instead of a doc problem, if
that file is supposed to exist.

Hi all,
I'm having a problem connecting my Mac desktop to HP iPrint, with iphone 4- my printer is HP Photosmart C4580
When I select finder, go, connect to server, I input the following: http://192.168.1.72:8081
I get the following message:
Connection failed,
here was an error connecting to the server “192.168.1.72”. Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you are unable to resolve the problem contact your system administrator.
Any sugestions.

HP iPrint Photo Conflicts

Not sure if this is the right forum to post a potential issue with HP's iPrint Photo for Android phones, but...
It appears that the iPrint application conflicts with my C410's scan function. I get an error message in the scan software that the scanner is being used by another networked device. If I turn off my phone, or even just disable my phone's wifi, then I can scan no problem.
Is this a known issue... or a newbie?

Hi, this is the strange issue I have seen. I just want to know after using the HP iPrint app, did you close it completely or left the app running in the background??? Even if you have closed it, check if it is running in the background or not.

IPrint Policy - Failure on all devices

I had posted on this issue earlier and had thought that the policy was reporting as failed but actually deploying printers. What I am seeing right now is that the policy fails to do anything. The iPrint server is the appliance server and the client is installed, 5.90, and a manual install of the printer(s) works correctly. Is there a guide that might help with this process? It would be useful to get this working for the end users. The Novell documents really doesn't provide enough detail to be helpful in this case.

Stephan, Sorry about that. What I meant was that the iPrint Server is the new iPrint Appliance server and not native to OES. I wouldn't think it would make a difference for the policy. I wish I would have kept the error codes and posted that information but that is sitting on my desk.
My policy setup is only listing the iPrint printer. I don't have it deploying or check on drivers or the client. I even turned off the set Default printer check box to see if that made a difference. I am not sure if I am failing due to not filling all the remaining information out or if I have a registry setting or some other option in Windows that is causing conflict or what. Basically all I am wanting is to set up printer deployment for banks of clients so that no matter what the client machine is doing, reimaged, changed groups, etc, I know a set number of printers are loaded.
Windows 7 Pro (Clients)
ZCM 11.2.3a MU1 (Currently - started process to move to 11.2.4)
SLES 11 SP2
Most of my client systems are getting Power User or User access only. I do have a few that have Admin rights locally. None deploy printers from this policy.

Designjet T2500 "Hardware error in scanner"

OS: Windows 7, 64 bit. Novell iPrint Client v05.98.00
Our Designjet T2500 keeps displaying the following message: "Hardware error in scanner. Call Hp Support." with what looks to be an error code, 09.10:10.
Once restarted (which takes several minutes) the scanner operates but the error message eventually returns while the plotter is idle.
While restarting gets us around the issue it is becoming a hassle for a plotter that is less than a year old.

I have the same Problem here. But my T2500 is not scanning anything. After each restart at 97% initialisation the msg 09.10:10 appears. My Plotter is 2 days old.

BW Precalc server Error

Hi There,
I hope someone can help me, We are using BW 7.0 SP 15 with the SAP GUI 640 Patch 19 and BEx 7.0 Patch 17.
If I Create a workbook for disruption Via BEx 3.x and test the server the Workbook is Recalculated and mailed without any errors, the problem arises when I create a Workbook Via BEx Analyzer BEx 7.0 and try to Test the Server the I get the following Error "Error during precalculation Object variable or With block variable not set." and the Resulting mailed workbook is Empty, No Macro Code, No Data Nothing.
We originally got this error when the precalc server was using the SYSTEM user but it has been changed to use a user that has administrator access.
Is it Possible that we need a different version of the Precalc Server for BEx 7.0 as we are using "SP12 for BW Analyzer Precalc Services 350" as this the newest I can find for downloading.

Thanks I was finally able to complete the download and the install of the 7.0 PreCalc server.
I still have a problem thou ,do you know if there are any SP out for this new Precalc server as I am unable to Precalc any Workbook From either BEx 3.5 or BEx 7.0, I did find in the log that the communication works to and from the server and the workbook is copied to the Precalc server but then there seems to be compilation error within VB macro. Message is

Config for using iPrint

Hello.
We're using a nw6.5 Sp7 system with apache and ndps. We want to add iprint.
In httpd.conf its necessary to have the DocumentRoot to htdocs directory.
For the moment this is set to another path because we use this machine for a
intranet webserver. I'm searching for a smart config who enables both
service. Is there any chance to find a working config?

Not enough memory errors

I have a d110a printer. Setup worked fine. Downloaded the HP Iprint app to my phone. No issues. Sometimes when I'm printing a pic from the phone i'll get possible printer error, not enough memory. I'll shut the prnter off and back on it resolves the issue. Any known fixes for this?
