Iproc page requirement

Hi,
I am new to OAF and my requirement is to place a custom region on iProc home page at a specific position above the My Requisition Tag.
I create a separate region (stackLayout) and place the same via personalization but placement of the region is not coming at the desired place.
Could someone guide me how do this.

Click on personalize this page link and then reorder.

Personalization in iproc page

Hi All,
We have requirement to personalization the iproc page.
When a requisition is created and goes for approval. And the approver wants to make any changes on the requisition he will hit link 'Edit Requisition'.
The changes we want to make is to change the price, supplier and supplier site.
All these fieds are uneditable in that page.
we were able to make the price to editable by making 'Read Only' option to false under Operating Unit level.
but we were not able to do the same for supplier and supplier site.
Price column is 'Message Text Input' and Supplier and Supplier Site columns are 'Message Styled Text'.
Is there any way to make these columns to editable mode?

Hi,
MessageStyleText fields are read only by nature. You can't make them editable using personalization or controller extension.
For that you need to edit your page definition and mark supplier site fields render false.
Create 2 new fields as MessageTextInput and mark them by default false and in controller extension check for some condition like operating unit and render them true in processRequest method.
Or you can do this way-
Using personalization Render false supplier site columns.
Using personalization create 2 new items(MessageTextInput fields). Map them to same VO attributes as 2 fields you want to make editable.

I'm working with the CS4 Design Premium Suite. I've done all the updates. I've followed all the steps in the training.
I've used the adobe media encoder to create FLV file from a windows media clip.
Then on a simple new html page. saved to a brand new local folder I try to insert my conent:
I use menu command "Insert _ Media _ FLV" I browse to the file, I insert & save the page
I can see a place holder in design view but if I go to live view I see the message"Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player."
If I preview to a browser I get the same thing,
If I go to the local folder and access the page directly I get the same thing.
I alse created simple SWF file in Flash CS4. Saved in the root folder.
I use the menu command "Insert _ Media _ SWF" I see a place holder.
Save it, save all the files.
Same thing. Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.
I read online where others are having this issue, someone one said "Why are you using "swfobject_modified?" "Try swfobject.modified"
tried with no visble change.
I thought that flash & dreamweaver are supposed to be fully intergrated?
Why are these seemingly simple operations causing me so much grief?
I'm days behind in my training & on my project due to this problem.   Any help anyone could offer would be appreciated.

Extending Seeded iProc Page - Options

Hi,
I need to add extra information to a table on a seeded iProc page. I have successfully added extra columns by substituting the VO and adding columns however there isn't going to be enough space width-wise to accommodate all the fields I need to add. So I am planning on altering the table by adding in a "Detail Disclosure". As far as I can see my options are as follows:
- Alter page (PG) adding in Detail section in table - reluctant to do this as this is unsupported and subject to being overwritten by upgrades.
- Extending controller (CO) adding in code to create Detail section in table. Is this possible? Can you extend a CO? Can you create Page objects through code?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a really enoying problem here, please help me out!
I have built my personal webpage in Flash CS3/AS3. I did some updates today, changed some pictures and stuff. Now when I upload and replace the previous *.swf on the server, and try to load my webpage my browser displays the folowing message:
Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.
I tried exporting with Flas Player 8, and checked it using different bowsers too (curenntly I use the latest version of Firefox), but I get the same error when trying to relode my site. I have no more ideas what to do.

I have been used to this issue for a while now so I take it for granted with the solution.
It seems Dreamweaver has issues with absolute paths when it comes to displaying SWF files correctly.
It would seem that the logical workflow would be to open the File tab and drag the SWF file into place.
Doing this works if you test the SWF file directly in Dreamweaver by clicking on the Play button when the SWF file is active.
But if you view it in a browser using the Web URL you will get: Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.
This plagued me for ages as I ended up installing and reinstalling Flash Player until I realised this was happening on all Computers that I tested the page on.
If you drag the SWF file onto the page, in Code View you will see in two locations in the generated code: data="file:///C|/path/swffile.swf"
Noe the strange | character after C ?
This needs to be changed to the relative path data="path/swffile.swf"
It will then work in the Browser without the error message
If you go: Insert / Media / SWF and choose the SWF file, it will add it correctly.
It only seems to happen when you drag the SWF into the page.

Previous versions of Firefox were only 32 bit, Firefox 4 for the Mac contains 32 and 64 bit versions. If you want to always start Firefox in 32 bit mode, open up Finder and go to the Applications folder. Control-click the Firefox app and click "Get Info", then select the "Open in 32-bit mode" option.

FLV works in preview but "content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player"

I used Media Encoder CS5 to create a FLV file from an AVI file. The video plays correctly in preview (both IE and FF). After I uploaded the page, video, and the script folder (includes expressInstall.swf and swfobject_modified.js), the web page shows "the content of this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player" (in FF. IE just show a partially completed download status bar). I am already at version 10 but I download and installed the player without any success. I am new to web site maintenance so any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

you have faulty swf embed code. i don't know anything about the modified swfobject embedding except it causes problems and has no benefit known to me.

currently an AC_RunActiveContent.js file in the flash files folder,

Error message "This page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js."

I sometimes get this message “This page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js.” I’ve reinstalled the newest version of Flash. What should I try next?
It’s pretty annoying, I don’t know what I did to create this problem.

AC_RunActiveContent.js is a javascript that Dreamweaver uses to insert Flash data into a web page. If the owner of the site you are visiting for got to upload this script into his web dir, you will get this error.
Most of the time it is the website's fault.

How to add a parameterized Popup to seeded iProc page by Personalisation ?

I'm trying to add a button on the iProcurement 'Add To Cart' region (ResultsInParagraphRN), to display a standard OAF popup. Release 12.
Please let me know where I went wrong :)
1. I read the OAF Dev Guide on popups, as far as I can currently follow it ...
2. I made a region in a different project, and a test page, and successfully deployed that project so I can call the popup, so far no problem.
3. I used personalization to create a Parameterized Popup and a Button to call it, in iProc, using the same values as above.
4. When I click on the button in iProc, there is no reaction other than an 'Error on Page' indication in the browser.
In IE6 - still our standard browser :(, I get and 'Error on Page' message, which then gives a message 'object required'.
In Firefox, I see this message : 'popupdiv is null'. line 132 in popup.js - the last line of this fragment is highlighted -

thats why you get javascript error since in run time java script cannot find popup of type tablename:popupname.
Please share the page structure.
Meanwhile try adding the popup under rowlayout instead of flowlayout.

Accessing a page requiring authentication

I am working on a project to get some information from a web page.
I am using the following piece of code to access and get the info from the page:

This code was working fine.
However, now I have to access a page that requires authentication. And when I use the code above the error code 401 is returned.
Somebody knows how I can access a page that requires authentication?
How can I pass the needed user name and password to connect to the page?

Basically you set an HTTP header with the authentication credentials, which as I recall are encoded but not encrypted. IIRC the header is "Authorization". IIRC you set the header with java.net.URLConnection.addRequestProperty or .setRequestProperty.

Silverlight page requires refresh to load (Internet Explorer 11)

We have a strange problem with a site that uses Silverlight. When you open the page from e.g. your IE11 favorites, the page is not loaded. No error message, even though the page's tab text and icon are shown. Only when you refresh the page with F5,
the login page using Silverlight is loaded. We have also noticed that when IE11 is closed and you click the page link from another program, e.g. Outlook, the page is loaded normally. This happens to all users and resetting IE settings has not helped.
Any ideas?

CNET links work on home page but sub pages require a refresh

Ever since the last update, when I'm reading the main page on CNET news site everything works fine. When I click on a link to an article a sub page comes up but none of the comment links on that page will work (for example the comment links and "like" links at the bottom of the page). The normal links to other articles seem to work.
If you want to comment or click a "like" link you have to refresh the page. This is FF 3.6.11 on Windows XP 32 bit.
This was not an issue until FF was last updated.

Although you are correct in that booting the browser in safe mode did correct the issue, I had no desire to start troubleshooting what addon or plugin was responsible for the issue. I did update Java.
Today there was another update for FF, and when this update was done the issue was corrected. Because of this, and since I really don't have time to be troubleshooting browser issues, I have disabled all the automatic updates in all the FF browsers in our shop, and at home. I am only going to update them if there is a significant change. I realize this may be a security issue, however I just cannot spend the time required to correct issues caused by browser updates. Again, I realize issues can be caused by the plugins not "following the rules" and not being updated but even so I cannot justify spending huge amounts of time correcting issues that would not happen if I did not update the browser.
Thanks for your time helping me with this problem. I will not be updating any more unless I read about a serious problem that has to be corrected.
