IProcurement Customization Non-Catalogue Request

Hello,
We are looking to have information on how to create a customization on the Non-Catalogue Request Form so it has the category filled by default.
Please let me know if someone has done this before and how to achieve it or where to look for documentation.
Thanks

Hi,
This reply is tooo late at this stage. Your requirement is exactly same as ours. We did it using smart forms. We setup Non-Catalog Stores each store representing each category. These stores were loaded with pre-defined templates (with subcategories and other defaults). Users go search for the item .. if the can't find, a Link redirects them to home page where they can pick up any of the category (store) to order the item. Now the category is filled in automatically as it is a smart form instead of blank non-catalog page..

  • Any thoughts on auto sourcing for a non catalogue request?

Any thoughts of auto sourcing for a non catalogue request?
If i have a Contract Purchase Agreement set for a certain Category and if i use the same category in the non catalogue request purchase requisition will the workflow automatically generate the PO?
    Following set to Y
    CONTRACT_REQUIRED_FLAG
    INCLUDE_NON_CATALOG_REQ_FLAG
    USE_CONTRACT_FLAG
How the price will be determined in the PO in such cases?

    Hi,
You need to define the sourcing rule, ASL and default assignment sets and map the CPA in the ASL setup.
This will drive the autocreation of PO.
    Thanks,

  • IProcurement Non Catalog Request Type Field

    Greetings to All,
Currently, having an issue in iProcurement. Under Shop-Non Catalog Request, there is an option to have "Request Type" field to be available.
This field and LOV is not showing up.
Per iProcurement Implementation Guide Release 11i Part No. A85361-05 December 2004
    Specifically:
    Section 4-52
    Page 158
This is section describing "Setting Up Non-Catalog Request Templates"
There is a 'Request Type' dropdown at the top of the page, just above 'Item Type'
Request Type is not coming about.
Is there a smart form setup / preference or a Profile Option value that controls this feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    You are right Mr. CK..
If you check stores --> Smart Form --> Personalize "Default Item Information", you will find ${oa.NonCatalogRequestVO.IsTemplateBased} inside the personlization form.. It indicates "Request Type" is dependant on a template i.e. non-catalog request template.
Thanks for your answer.. Indeed it is helpful.
    Regards,
    S.P DASH

  • IProcurement Non-Catalog Request Link Button

    Hello,
Does anyone know how to disable or better disappear the Non-Catalog Request Button that appears at the top of the iProcurement page.
    Thanks

I dont know the functionality, but recommend you try hiding it via Personalization.

  • IProcurement - "mass upload" for non-catalog request

I want to find a way to do a "mass upload" when creating a non-catalog request.
Some back ground; I am not A DBA or a software developer; I am an engineering manager. I work for a large company and have responsibilities for creating Purchase Requisitions. I work from vendor quotes that contain many lines items, and always do non-catalog request because I often get special pricing or simply have non-catalog items. There are several fields on the requisition web page that need to be populated and it's quite cumbersome and time consuming to copy and paste 6 different data fields for 50+ line items. Since these are fields on a web page that correlate to some back end database there must be a way to populate them more quickly and easily, with an upload template, or via an API.
It is very, very difficult to find the proper internal resources to help me address this problem, and when I do find the right people I'm pretty sure I'll be told "it can't be done" I don't believe it can't be done. It may be difficult, it may require some work, it may require some development efforts, but from a purely technical point of view, populating multiple data fields with minimal user input is certainly doable. I want to be armed with solutions when I finally find the right people at my company. So, anybody out there figure this one out already? Once I do I'll be glad to share but hoping it's a know and fixed issue.
    Thanks!!

You are looking for the requisitions Open Interface.
Get this PDF from the documentation for release 11* and read chapter 6, it will guide you through the import process.
*For some reason this document is not available for newer releases (11i, 12), so you would rely on Metalink to look for notes.

  • Exchange Rate Date is not Upating for non-catalog request types in iProc

    Hi,
The Exchnge rate date is not updating for some non-catalog request types in iprocurement (11.5.10.2 version) and this happening only for some request types only.
can any one help what could be the reason.
    Regards,\
    Kevin.

    Hi Venkat
i suggest you to go thru the dev guide ..... but to answer your question i would say....
**** It looks like "Define Information Template" form only accepts Independent Value Sets and not table based Value Sets (thatinvolve SQL statements).
Well in OAF to display a dropdown list all you need is a query .. so one can write a query to extract the values from a independent value set .... but the same is not possible with table type value set instead you can use the same query used to define the table type value set .
You can create a LOV (one with flash light) even with a independent value set ....
To create a LOV you need a View Object(query which will fetch valid records) and a Public Region (to display)
if you ahve these then you can achive the requirement thru personalization
if the VO and Region are not present then you have to create them .......
Once you are thru the dev guide please go thru the link below which shows adding a lov to an existing page thru personalization....
    http://oracle.anilpassi.com/create-lov-based-field-using-personalization-in-oa-framework.html
    Thanks

  • There is no item number field available in non catalog request screen

    Hi,
I need help in understanding how the Contract purchase agreement works with i-procurement.
    1. created contract purchase agreement
    2. Setup the item
    3. Setup the price list for the item
    4. Setup the ASL for the item and referenced the CPA number in source document region.
    5. Created Sourcing rule for the item.
I have no issues in defaulting sourcing information (supplier name, site name, source document number) when creating a requisition in core apps forms but how to setup the same feature in i-procurement? I selected non catalog request type but I don't see item number field available.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi,
First we need to know which version you are in - 11i or R12.
Also, non-catalog request is not used for the requisitions with Inventory Item.
Just search for the Item number or description in the iProcurement and see whether the search result shows your item.
Internal Item number field will show the Oracle Item number.
    Thanks,
    PS.

  • IProcurement Customization

    Hello,
I would like to create a customization that captures the value of the category field in the Category Search and then opens the Non-Catalog request page with this value in the category field, does anyone have done this? does anyone have a sample or documenation on this?
    Thanks

I cannot comment anything on the documentation/Code. As a suggestion you open up the 'About this Page' and get started. :)

  • Problem with Non JSF Request to JSF Page

    Hi All,
I am working on dynamic controls generation based on the request come from non jsf page
For the first request, pageworks perfectly. but when we go for second request, it is not rendering and I am getting same old page.
What I have identified is if I have 2 pages as JSF, application is not giving any problem.
For this I have written small test application contains both JSF pages only.
    page1 contains 3 submit buttons.
When submit buttons are clicked based on the request, I get, am able to see the dynamic controls.
SO there is no problem with JSF PAGE to JSF Page Communication
Now I have done some changes in First JSF page. Instead of submitting directly I am submitting the page through JavaScript which is nonb JSF request. There I am facing the problem and based on requested qaction I am not able to see correct rendered page based on the requested action.
Any Idea why it is giving problem for non JSF requests??
    Thanks
    Sudhakar

For Your Convenience in understanding the problem

  • ISA Server 2006 + Average response time for Non Cached requests = performance issues?!?!?!

    All,
I am in a predicament with internet browsing speeds...We have a 3rd party look after our line and internet facing f/w  so I cant troubleshoot them, so at the moment Im looking at ISA as the potential bottleneck - we have a fairly standard environment:
    Internal > Local Host > Perimiter n/work > Firewall > Internet
I have been running custom reports on the ISA server to see what data can be collected - I have noticed that "Average response time for non cached requests" (traffic by time of day) can be as high as 76 seconds!!!!!! Cached hits are between .5
    and 2 seconds.
I have also coonfigured a connectivity verifier which is also flagging slow connectivity, massively over the >5000ms and also reporting "cant resolve server name on occassions- and this is configured for
www.Microsoft.com --- DNS ???!?!, however I have looked through DNS (no obvious errors / config issues) which I can see
I have run the BPA on ISA server to ensure its Health - - connectivity verifier errors flagged timeouts to microsoft.com as expected...
Can anyone advise any obvious areas to investigate as Im struggling! - as always the 3rd party have told us the internet pipe is fine :O

    Problem resolved.
DNS forwarders have been changed on the ISA server / DNS and this has improved lookup speed considerably.
    thanks all :)

  • Customize the Service Request Status

I am trying to customize the status for a Service Request form.  We want to add some additional ones to that list.  I am not finding where I go to update that list.
    Cheers!
    Matt

The list you are looking for is in the Library Tab, Lists view, Service Request status. take a look at
How to Add a List Item.
I'd like to argue that this is probably not what you want to do, however, as the status property is pretty tightly managed by the out-of-the-box workflows that move service requests forward, and manually setting these statuses will likely break the out-of-the-box
    activity status engine.
Instead, you probably want to Create a new MP in the authoring tool, Locate and
Extend the Service Request Class, add a new Enumeration property to your extension, use the Create List button to create a new list,
Save and seal your class extension MP, close your original unsealed class extension MP and open the Sealed copy, Create a second MP to contain the form extension,
    Locate and
    Customize the Service Request form,
add a new List Picker bound to the property and list you created before, Save and seal your Form Extension MP,
Import both the sealed versions into your test system, Create a new (unsealed) Management pack in the test system and all your list items to the list you created earlier, test the forms
and make sure they look right and show the right data, then Export the unsealed list MP, and import all three MPs (the sealed class MP, the sealed form MP, and the unsealed list items MP) into your production system.
This has the advantage that it gives you a new place to store your custom SR statuses that you can set to be whatever you like, and doesn't break the out-of-the-box activity engine workflows, or the grooming engine that depends on the "closed"
    status.

  • Non-Faces request generates Faces response and FacesServlet prefix mapping

    Hello,
The JSF Spec says how a non-Faces request can be handled to generate a Faces response in section 2.1.1.
This works in as much as it generates a viewable page. However, the action URL's generated by the ViewHandler.getActionURL method do not seem to be correct if the FacesServlet is prefix mapped (e.g. as /faces/*).
In this case the action URL contains the mapping to the servlet called as the non-Faces request. This is because Util.getFacesMapping works by looking at the request that was called. It assumes that this was a request to the FacesServlet, although this is not the case here.
I am using JSF 1.2_01-b04. I will try upgrading to the latest version (although I could not see that this has been fixed in the release notes).
Has anyone come across this issue and got a work-around?

I can say for certain that it's not.
I understand your point here, but I don't think it's right for the implementation
to parse the web.xml for the servlet mapping. For example, what if there is more than one url mapping to a faces servlet? Which one should be used?
What I would recommend is the use of a ServletRequestWrapper that returns the appropriate mapping info that Util.getFacesMapping() checks for. This should give you the result you're looking for.
