IProcurement Personalization Copy Category
Hello,
I am looking for a way to copy the category field from a Catalog Request to a Non-Catalog Request. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am not sure what exactly you want to achieve...Have you checked the Non Catalog Req Template functionality.

Copy this portal personalization workset to a folder and add it to the role which the user has. The user with this role will be able to see the personalization link in the masthead iview.

Personalization of Search LOV in iPorcurement
Hi,
one of my customer wants to change the LOV in Non-catalog request. When pressing Contract today it says Contract number but we want to change it to Supplier (not id but name). Is that possible with personalizations or does it need customizations.
If it is even possible just let me know and please also how.

ESS SCs customisation best practice?
Hi,
I'm customising ESS screens. I want to know what is the standard and best practice to customise ESS components. Lets say after I import in NWDI and start making changes in NWDS, then checkin, then build and test it successfully, this approach is going to overwrite the standard ESS package. Is it possible at some stage if I decide to revert back to original standard ESS BP by redeploying standard ESS packages?
Also, I'm changing one of the personal data screens, would you recommend to create a seperate iview for the customised personal data screen? Or should I use the standard iviews, roles and webdynpro components for customisation? I mean do I leave the existing components untouched and created seperate iviews somewhere in the portal content for customised screen in different PCD folder, is this ok?

We have some extended pages and a new page developed with JDeveloper, which is using our development database.
I'm new at this, and I think I want to...
To deploy it to the development application server, from the developer's machine, we:
Don't do anything with personalizations, ther're already in the database.
Definition (xml) files for PG and RN get zipped, copied and unzipped, then imported into the database via the import script.
AM, VO, CO classes and xml's get zipped from myclasses, the zip copied to the application server, unzipped under $JAVA_TOP.
Substitutions get put into the database with jpximport run against the project jpx file.
When deploying from development to QA (or QA to Prod)
Using Functional Administrator, export personalizations, copy resulting files to QA, check that responsibility ID's correspond, import.
PG and RN zip file is copied to QA, unzipped, then imported into the database via the import script.
AM, VO, CO zip file is copied to QA, unzipped, then unzipped under $JAVA_TOP.
What about substitutions? They're exported along with personalizations (server site/0), can they be imported as personalizations? Or do we need to go back to the jpx file and use jpximport?
Am I missing something, does this seem right?

Your Steps is correct.
Also,You have to run Xml Importer and JpxImporter Again for new Instance.
Run the import scripts for the PG and RN files.

Why won't CS2 download and install properly?

I've been trying to install an old copy of CS2 (AI,ID,PS) on a machine at work. CS2 activation is now no longer supported, so I've been following the Adobe guidelines, which are to download CS2 from the website and then install those files.
This is the page I've been directed to:

I've downloaded all the Windows files and opened/run them. I just can't get any programs to actually run - the message says:
'Missing or Invalid personalization Information.
Missing Resources library'.
I'm not sure what's casuing this - I've downloaded everything. It's quite frustrating as we've got all the disks and that software previously was running perfectly well on a different PC!
Has anyone else had problems with these downloads, or am I missing something obvious?

AndyAndy this difficulty was somewhat common for Creative Suite 2. It usually is due to file permissions being improperly set. You can find information on how to resolve this difficulty at Error "Please personalize your copy..." or "The serial number..." | InDesign, InCopy | CS2 | Windows XP - http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/error-please-personalize-copy-or.html.
If you are attempting to use Windows Vista or later you will need to adjust the appropriate directory permissions. -

Fixed Assets Mass Reclassification
I would like to know if there is a way of using the Mass Reclassification process in Fixed Assets (E-business Suite 11.5) to move assets between major categories without losing the information stored in the DFF's
There is an option to tick 'Copy Category Descriptive Flexfield to New Category' but that only allows you to use it when you are staying within the same Major Category.
Any info would be appreciated..
ThanksIn Oracle FA Descriptive flexfield information will be copied only if assets are being reclassified within the same major category. The descriptive flexfields should be set up with the same segments in both the old and the new category. Otherwise, descriptive flexfield information in the old category may be copied incorrectly into an incorrect segment in the new category. If a segment in the old category and a corresponding segment in the new category have different formats (for example, segment 1 in the old category is alphanumeric and segment 1 in the new category is in date format), the information will be copied, but you will need to correct the descriptive information in that segment.

IProcurement Category Customization
Hello,
I am in the Shop Tab looking for an article in the categories search, when I get to the articles I don't find the one I want so I have to click on the Non-Catalog Request link and the Non-Catalog Request page appears and I need to pass the category that I use in the prior search to appear as default in the new page.
What I have been thinking is on inserting the value of the category in a table and then send request for the Non-Catalog Request, Is there a way to insert the value when I press the Non-Catalog Request link and then open the Non-Catalog Request page.
Please let me know if I can do this and how to do it or may be orient me on how to.

Are you asking if you search a category/Item in SHOP tab of iprocurement and if you failed to find any hit, then this string should be used to search this category/Item in Non-Catalog request? If your answer is yes, then this feature is not there in Oracle..
You may prefer to copy the string which you searched under shop, and same can be used in non-catalog search than doing a customization of a java page.. :).. When you search under SHOP Tab system only pull that category/Item which is linked to a BPAs. In Non-Catalog request, you can use a CPA as reference...
Just let us know how this customization or using a custom table to store the search value will help you in searching in iprocurement.

We are currently using Oracle Release 12.1.1
Is it possible to in an HTML form to call on an Oracle function?
I want to inbed a function which is a Discoverer Workbook report into the iProcurement Homepage via a link.
Is there any standard process to allow me to do this or is it a personalization?

Form Personalization is not working for copied Sales Orders
Hi All,
We have a requirement in Sales Order form, if the order type is "Standard" then Ship method field should be mandatory.
We were able to do this using below form personalization, it is working for new order creation.
When we did the below testing it is not working
Inactivated the ship method and try to copy the order with Standard type the field remains mandatory and null but still it is allowing to book the Sales Order.
Please help to sort out this issue, let me know if it is not clear

If that order type is list then you may disable the field in WHEN LIST CHANGED trigger itself.

How can we copy personalization from one to an othere resp/function
guys,
As we use people and maintain function to maintain employee information, in this function we have made personalization and working fine, but after restricting function which is appearing on others button like (absence, qualification, previous employer) etc, then we need to create task flow node and configure with new function as copy people function.however, the personalization which was attached People window one is working but new function of people window have without personalization.
So therefore i want to copy all this previous function personalization into new function,

1) You're not talking about OA Framework personalization on any SSHR page
2) You are referring to the Combined Person and Assignment Form (PERWSHRG) under *HRMS Manager > People > Enter & Maintain
3) You're not talking about Forms Personalization (Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize)
4) You are talking about custom Task Flow definitions
Do you want to copy the Task Flows and Upload? You can use a command like this to upload/download task flows. This is an example of downloading/uploading task flow nodes:
1) Submit Processes and Reports > Download HRMS Taskflows
2) Run this FNDLOAD command:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt HR_NAVIGATION_UNITS
3) Upload:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y UPLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt
If you simply want your copied Function to use the same Task Flow just check it's got the same Form Parameters as the original function definition.
If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement further. -

RaviI would maintain the entires to confirm what item categories could be copied from a quote AGIS to an TA order.
Normally a TA NORM drives to a TAN. If yo change the quote from a AGN to ZAG, you may want the order to drive to a TAS dropship ship. Just gives you more flexibiilty without any coding. -
Error while Copy Item Category

I'm facing a problem in SPRO.
When I'm trying to copy Item Category "BVN" to a new one ie ZB14(for example) ,I gets an error stating that "Billing Plan Type is invalid".
Could anyone please help me what is the reason for the error as well as where we can set the Base settings for SPRO.

Right item category not getting copied while copying sales order
Hi,
We have a scenario where we are coping an existing order document and maintaining a new order document.
The problem is that when we are copying the existing order, we ll not get the same item categories in the copied order as available in the original order.
The Free of Cost item categories of the materials got changed to the normal item categories, which should not happen.
Let me know if any configuration changes made in system can fix this issue.

This may be due to copycontrol between these two sales order. In copy controls, you are retriggering the item category determination.
When you define the copy control from SO to SO, select the item category and keep the source and target item category as same. (Same for schedule line category also). Once this is done, your problem will be solved.
