IPS Signature versions doesnt match from system info and dashboard

Hi, I have a customer who has a IPS runing version 6.2(1)e3. after the last auto update, the sig version from the asdm system info shows 377, however from the IDM health dashboard, the sig version shows 373, I am wondering if someone can provide some suggests what might cause the problem, thanks in advance

When this happened to me, I rebooted the sensor and fix it. If the IPS sensor is "inline", be sure you are in Auto bypass mode. Meaning - if the sensor fails, traffic is not halted.

For IPS, it is better to turn on automatic updates. Just go to:
Admin >> System Setup >> IPS Signature Dynamic Update Settings
The URL is already set there, just put your CCO username/password and click 'Update Now' then hit 'Submit'. I think the current Signature release is 352. You can manually downlaod them from here if you like:

I keep getting an error code that my billing info doesnt match my card info. I verified with my bank, the bank card, and my itunes account and all are exactly the same. I need this crap fixed, how?

I keep getting an error that my billing info for my card doesnt match my bank info, but it does. Nothing has ever been changed. I called my bank, the card company, and all are exactly the same, word for word as my billing info in iTunes.
In fact, every time I get the error code that billing doesnt match, my card gets charged a $1.00 authorization fee. It later falls off, but it shows my card is being billed when they say they cant verify billing info.
I called Apple support and they want to charge me to get their crap together.
I need to do some updates and by a couple apps for work and am about ready to go to ANdroid if I cant get it fixed.

Lion disables system info and software update in about this mac

hey guys I have problem with lion when I reboot lion,
it disables system info and software update in "about this mac"
actually it says "this button is disabled because there is no system profiler application" or "this button is disabled because there is no software update application"
and also everytime when I reboot my computer it always changes default applicatons. for example
it changes from VLC player to quicktime, from Archive utility to textEdit and so on.
each time i got to reinstall "Afloat application" if i want to use it.
for making them ok I just need to open software updater from system pref. and the button becomes visible again.
it is same with the system info. I gotto search system profiler via spotlight search and I run, button becomes visible again.
for the archieve utility i got to go to coreservices and open Archieve utility then automatically it becomes default app for .zip files again.

Did you just install Lion? If so, you might need to try to reinstall as something got messed up.
Alfoat uses SIMBL which will break at just about every update. The reason you may have to keep installing Afloat is because the Resume feature of Lion is not compatible with SIMBL. See here: http://roaringapps.com/app:383
SIMBL is a low-level system hack and may be causing your problems.

Bluetooth disappeared from system preferences and menu bar...

My bluetooth preferences disappearead from system preferences as well as the menu bar. I discovered this because my bluetooth mighty mouse stopped working. I tried replacing the batteries but nothing happened. I used my trackpad to click on the bluetooth icon on my menu bar and told it to connect to my mouse, which was there in the list. I got the swirling ball and so restarted my computer, when it came back, bluetooth was gone from the menu bar and system preferences, so now I don't know how to reconnect my mouse.
I tried resetting the PRAM and NVRAM as recommended by another post, I tried it twice as the instructions outline, but I haven't had any success.
I have tried doing spotlight for bluetooth in system preferences, this takes me to keyboard and mouse, then I get this message:
"The Bluetooth tab of Keyboard & Mouse preferences is hidden because you don't have a Bluetooth module installed or attached to your computer."
When I do a spotlight on the entire system, I get a result for bluetooth in system preferences, when I click on that, I get this message:
"You cannot open “Bluetooth” preferences pane because it is not available to you at this time. You might need to connect a device to your computer to see this preferences pane."
But, the irony is, that I can't connect a bluetooth device without this option in preferences. Also, in utilities, I remember that there used to be a bluetooth setup assistant, and that is not longer there.
I realize other threads have come up on this, but I haven't found anything besides deleting the plist, restarting, and resetting the PRAM and NVRAM (whatever that is). I've tried this but haven't been successful so I'm looking for more ideas.

Try deleting this file.
com.apple.preferencepanes.cache
~/Library/Caches.
Move that file to the Trash and restart your Mac.
If that doesn't help, download and install the 10.5.8 combo update available here.

It's ok to do this even though you are already running 10.5.8.
Make sure and repair disk permissions after the installation.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

What is the correct way to use Version Information from the sequence and from the deployment tool

I seem to be missing something in how the various version numbers are supposed to be used. My end goal is to log and possibly display in the UI the version of the sequence and which installer version was used to inspect a UUT. I have gotten most of the way there using:

and logging this into the report with a function which contains:
Parameters.UUT.AdditionalData.SetValString("Test Version",1,RunState.SequenceFile.Data.Version),
Parameters.UUT.AdditionalData.SetFlags("",0,PropFlags_IncludeInReport)
The "Deployment Version" in the TestStand Deployment Utility auto incrementing the 3rd position of a version number while the sequence auto increment is working on the 4th.
My first question is are these 2 version numbers in anyway supposed to be related to each other? As it seems to me you would want those 2 reversed, I can make several installers based on sequence version X, making changes to what supporting files are also installed.
If they are not related as I suspect that they are not. How do I programatically grabed the installer version and also log that into the result report?
is there an option to perform a custom deployment build step to log the deployment version before it builds and then reference that log at runtime of the test?

How to remove a camera from System Info hardware

Hello,
My son installed a program to modify his webcam when on Skype to friends etc. As he no longer uses it we decided to remove it from the system. Found the program and dragged it to trash.
But now whenever we open the webcam it defaults to the no-longer installed program input
I can not find any other files the program has left behind.
But in system information CamMask is still listed.
Is there a way I can remove this from being recognised?

Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
I never install system modifications myself, and except as stated in this comment, I don't know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find that information.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickMyMac” (a hypothetical example.) First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickmymac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickMyMac.” If not, open “BrickMyMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button. The uninstaller might also be accessed by clicking the Customize button, if there is one.
Back up all data before making any changes.
You will generally have to restart the computer in order to complete an uninstallation. Until you do that, there may be no effect, or unpredictable effects.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software.

I reformated my computer to sell and now I cannot figure out how to find the system info and specs of the computer

I had Apple wipe my computer clean and now it's at the "Welcome" page but I need to find out all the specs like RAM/Hardrive space how can I get that info without running the welcome intro?

When visiting forums the 'System details' are the details of the user that posted the question, not your system details. For example look at the System details on this page, it correctly identified you as Fx 4.0 on Vista.

ABAP HR: Program that will compare HR Data from System GH* and GO*

I have a requirement wherein I need to create an HR Report Program (using logical database PNP) and RFC FM wherin I will select and then compare HR Data in GH* and GO* system. This enhancement will be done in the GH* system.

System info and my RD480 NEO2 FI

could someone else that has this motherboard look and see if the amount of memory is correct in the windows system information. i have 1 gig of memory but it only shows 512. on the other hand if i go into the control panel and look in system/general it shows the correct amount of memory.

EyeTV hybrid not seen in system info and not recognised on usb

I have an Elgato hybrid usb tv reciever which is not being recognised on my 27" imac. I thought it was faulty but when plugged into my 21" imac it works. I reinstalled the software and it worked until it was rebooted at which point it dosn't work again. I performed a PRAM reset which seemed to work until a reboot. Now neither reinstalling the software or PRAM test get it to work and I'm thinking they didn't solve it before. I have removed all usb devices to try and get the elgato to work. Elgato support say it is a file permissions issue but since I only have one user configured and that is admin level, I don't believe that is the issue.
Other USB devices work in the USB port and the Elgato works on another machine.
Any ideas for me to check?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

Does it open in the guest user? If it's not enabled, you can do it from the apple >> system preferences >> users and groups. Open the lock, select the guest user account and check the box to allow logging into it.

Skype freezes when I open it up from system tray a...

Whenever I try to open skype from system tray and when I start a chat with someone, Skype freezes and I have to wait for like 20-30 seconds before I am able to chat. I have a freshly installed windows 7 x64 and the newest skype version.

Same story for me! Ususally the other party can hear and see me before my end starts working. Except sometimes takes minutes for Skype to stabilize before I can use it. Then it seems to work. Using Win 7 and Skype 7.1.0.105. The problem has existed since installing 7.1. Makes using Skype a real pain!
Internet Explorer is resident on computer, but I use Foxfire for browsing.

Mismatch in amount of free space, between UI and System Info.

I'm running a 2011 15" MBP, with a 2 TB drive in it, and the UI is indicating that I have about 520 some odd GB left. System Info and Drive Genius indicate about 490 some odd.
I don't foresee this being a huge problem any time soon, but it's bugging me.
