IPTC data in Bridge not linked to Lightroom 2.7...
I have found that including data in the IPTC fields of metadata that I add in Bridge (CS5) does not update the IPTC information in Lightroom 2.7 and I can not find anything that will allow me to link that information from bridge to Lightroom. Am I missing something here or is that just the way it is?
Can you give an example of a field that is not coming across from Bridge to LR 2.7?
I only have LR 3.3 RC but I was able to update the "Headline" field in Bridge CS5 and then do a Synchronize in LR 3.3 and I saw the Headline field get filled in.
The steps I did were:
Import a folder of some JPGs and some RAWs into LR 3.3 RC
Had Automatically write changes into XMP enabled.
Opened the same folder with Bridge CS5, LR 3.3 RC still open
Update the Headline IPTC field of a JPG and a different RAW by typing something into Headline and clicking the Checkmark to save it
Switch over to LR 3.3 RC
Right-click on the folder in the Library module and choose Synchronize with the Scan for Metadata Updates on.
I watched in LR 3.3 RC's Metadata Area with the Metadata filter set to EXIF and IPTC and both the JPG and RAW file had their Headline fields change value to what I'd entered into Bridge.
I don't have LR 2.7 to check if things work any differently in it.
Can you describe what you're doing in LR after updating IPTC in Bridge that should be changing the IPTC fields but isn't?

Check if the data is there in the data target on which your report is based.
Check to see if this data is available for reporting.
Check to see if you have auth to view this data.
Check if there are any filters or restrictions in the query that would prevent the data from being displayed.
Check the data through LISTCUBE transaction.

I am having problems opening images renerated in lightroom5 into cs6. Cs6 bridge does not see the lightroom libarary. If I open lightroom and right clik the image, edit in cs6, 6 opens but the picture doesnot follow. What is going on? Give me a hand, thanks.
What edition of LR 5? What edition of ACR does PSCS 6 contain. If they are not parallel (same edition number x in [5 or 8].x ), is LR making a tiff or psd rendition of the image?

Not able to stop Data supplier bridge

After upgrading to SP 15 of XI3.0, we are not able to stop Data
Supplier Bridge in http://Host:50000/sld --> Administration --> Data
Supplier Bridge.
We have upgraded all components to SP15 and there is no problem with
that. Please help me with this.

Hi I have SQL2012 installed on my local machine and have also installed MySQL 5.6.23 installed with a test database.
I also have my SQL connector installed and MYSQL ODBC Driver 3.51.
Which happily connects to the Mysqldb.
The Datasource Name : mySQL conn
TCP/IP Server : localhost and Port :3306
User root
with pwd
On the SQL side I have used the following
EXEC master.dbo.sp_addlinkedserver

However when I try to selet using open query

it comes back with

In addition to other post, please also note the following things.
1. If you use the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit machine, please run the 32bit version of "odbcad32.exe" by running "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe"
from Start/Run menu and
create your ODBC DSN. However, for the 64-bit driver, use c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe to create your ODBC DSN. For more details, please review this similar

2. Expand the folder Providers under Linked server directory in SSMS and go to properties of MSDASQL provider and configure it properly as described in this blog:

I have installed XI 3.0, have patched the ABAP & JAVA stack to SP14.
During SLD configuration we are getting error in RZ70, while collecting data for transfer it gives RFC error for destination SLD_UC.
Also in http://dqxicom5702:50000/sld while trying to start to the sld bridge it fails to do so.
Error: Bridge not started
In visual administrator, on triggering data transfer it gives error:
data transfeer failed as there is no process to collect data.

CS6 Bridge "Not Displaying Subject Distance Information in Exif Data"
In Bridge CS5 the "Subject Distance" information is displayed for Zoom lenses which report distance information, under the Camera Data (Exif) panel.
In Bridge CS6 either 64 or 32 bit, no "Subject Distance" information is displayed for the same files, which report this information under CS5 bridge.
I have checked that the "Subject Distance" is checked and turned on under the preferences section. Not sure if the data is either not being read or just not being displayed.Thanks Ian,
Read Metadata from File isn't the answer since doing this obliterates everything that has been added to the metadata since the original import, but does add the Subject Distance. I'm using RAW (NEF) files without xmp sidecars. If I save to xmp and then Read Metadata from File, it works. I just hoped there might be a simpler way to get the Subject Distance into the catalogue. I also have many jpg images in my catalogue (before I started shooting raw) and the xmp solution can't be applied to those, although I could save the metadata to the jpg files (I don't really want to do that either). I originally started with a Nikon D50 and those images have Subject Distance in their Exif data, so the information is there for all my images, I just need an easy way to get it into the catalogue. -

Well to be specific the camera model number and follow the manual to enable the same.
The GPS data is to be embded by the Camera istellf at the time when the pic was taken.
Please contact the OEM or tech support if you are not able to get the same.

Please read this: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders
You do not want to be in the Import section of Lightroom, you want to be in the Library Module. You don't want "Update Folder Location", you want to ctrl-click on a Folder name (not in Import, but in the Library Module Folder Panel) and select "Find Missing Folder"
You do not want to re-import photos that have already been imported, this is almost always a bad thing to do. -
Deadlock when deleting a not linked data record in a parent table
Hello, who knows about this problem with Oracle 10g:
Our installation of Oracle 10.2g behaves different from Oracle 9.2 concerning locking of data records:
To prevent that different users edit a complex data record at the same time and store it, the user has to put
the data record into the "edit mode" and we lock it with "Select CharFieldZ from TableX where ID = 1 for UPDATE NOWAIT".
In this data record references (= foreign keys) to other tables are used; with foreign key constraints we
prevent those data records of these tables from being deleted, which are used in data records of tableX: on
deleting such a record Oracle gives an error message ORA-02292, which the application translates for the
user: "You cannot delete this record, because it is used somewhere else".
Now when locking data record A under Oracle 10.2g, which contains a foreign Key upon data record 1 of tableF,
and trying to delete data record 2 of tableF, a deadlock appears, even when this data record is not used
anywhere else.
Further conditions:
- Data record 2 was created before locking of data record A.
- In the same session tableF was opened for reading before.
Is there a parameter, which leads Oracle 10.2g to return to the former behavoir ?
or: how is it possible to prevent a deadlock anyhow else ?

You current description is very "uncomplete", e.g. this statement would lock the full table, but I think that is not what your application does.
Select CharFieldZ from TableX for UPDATE NOWAITAs Peter already mentioned you should check if there are any other differences between the databases. Let me mention just a few points that I can think of at the moment:
* indexes
* FK constraints with DELETE CASCADE
* higher oracle block size (can lead to more ITL locks)

HELP!! I viewed my "backup" files, and now ALL of my photos are no longer "linked" to Lightroom.
I thought I was missing some files, so I viewed my backup files. I received a "warning" that Lightroom would restart and view my backup files. I did NOT receive any warning, that there was NO GOING BACK!! I've tried everything. I cannot re-link ANY of my photos. Well, I did just do one, and it told me all the other photos in the folder were corrupt and Lightroom would not be able to edit them (and no, it was not an exported .jpeg file). Fortunately, I am not concerned about this folder, that's why I tested it. I was forced to moved all of my photos from my C drive to my D drive because for some weird reason on this computer, my D drive is 5 times bigger and I ran out of room. When I did that, I was able to relink all the pictures. Sadly, it didn't keep my Folders, it just relinked them all by date. That I can deal with, even though it makes finding photos much more difficult, but I wasn't about to try to rename any of them and have to relink again.
Now, I can't relink any of them because it appears in Lightroom that all photos are back in the C drive and therefore, the new photos that I placed on the D drive are not there, and nothing will relink, period, not even the ones that were originally on my C drive!
I have never been so aggravated in my life. I LOVE Lightroom capabilities. I have version 2.3. When I look it up on the online help, all I get is how the photos are in whatever location they were saved, but they are linked, etc. I already know that part. I seriously wish I had NEVER looked at my backup files. I don't think I'll bother backing up stuff anymore because apparently looking at the backup messes up everything.
I fully anticipated that I would be able to go back, choose my folders on my D drive and have all of my current photos available. Sadly, not.

I was in my "regular" Lightroom photos, and I couldn't locate some pictures I took last December. So, I thought, well, why not look at the back up files? I'm normally excellent at remembering exact steps, but I'm so worried about all of my thousands of photos, I can only explain what I think I did. I went into Windows Explorer, and chose the backup files. When I did, I received the warning about Lightroom restarting and loading the backup photos. I hesitated for a full minute, but thought, well, isn't that what backup files are for? So, I selected it. Lightroom opened the backup photos without any problem. But, when I went back, and tried opening the photos that were linked to Lightroom, they were no longer linked. When I click on the formerly linked photos, they just open in Windows Explorer, not Lightroom. When I open Lightroom, it has says all the photos are "missing." All of the folders are listed in my C drive (in Lightroom), not where they'd been moved to on my D drive. The one photo I relinked, stated the photos in that folder could not be edited in Lightroom. So, I'm afraid to try to relink anymore of them. Also, as I said, any photos that I originally imported to my D drive are not showing up in Lightroom at all.
I would say, I normally learn software quickly. That was my experience with Lightroom. I installed it, went through all of the online training sessions, and have loved it. Admittedly, I'm sure there are features that I don't make use of that many people do, but I'm just a passionate photography nut, not a professional.
The online help basically explains the linking, and even how to relink if you "move" a file, a folder to another location. It doesn't cover this, or not where I can find it.
I've think I've given up on yelling at the computer, now I just have knots in my stomach about getting photos relinked. I have probably 80% of them exported, with the adjustments I made, but that does not make me feel one bit better.

Lens Profiles not working in Lightroom 5.4?
I've got OSX 10.9.2, Lightroom 5.4, latest Camera raw, everything up to date.
When I "Enable Profile Corrections" for an image shot with a Sony a7r and Sony FE 55mm lens, it should automatically retrieve this profile:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Sony/SONY (Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA) - RAW.lcp
Well, it doesn't. The only Sony lens available in Lightroom's Lens Correction panel is "Sony DT 18-200mm." But there are several dozen Sony lense profiles in the "Sony" directory.
And more puzzling, the camera "Make" menu lists 8 manufacturers (Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron) but leaves out a number of others — Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Leica, Mamiya, etc.
And as with Sony, only one Tamron lens is listed.
I've tried re-installing Lightroom fresh, and no luck.
Photoshop works fine and has all the lens profiles.
Anyone else noticing this? Got a fix?

MikeI only shoot in RAW, and I am having this same issue. I shoot Nikon with a Tokina lens. This morning, Tuesday October 14, 2014, I had this setting. I closed the program and restarted it, and now I only have Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron lens profiles. There was not an update, nor did I actually change any settings. What is going on here?
I talked to customer support, whom suggested that I was stoned out of my mind because these profiles do not exist in lightroom. I did as the rep asked, followed the link and downloaded the "new" profile. Now I can't get it installed. Meanwhile, my photos are waiting for me to edit them. Can someone please help out here?!
