IPTC still inside.

I delete the IPTC Core information "Überschrift, Untertitel". When i check it is empty in all images. When i than import the pics f.e. in a webgallery the information "SONY DSC" it is back again. How can i solve that?

When you delete the IPTC using the "Info" panel, it will be removed from the version, but not from the original image file, unless you use "Metadata > Write IPTC to Original".
But in your example "SONY DSC" is listed in the column "Dateiname (Filename)". For many galleries the filename is a default to generate captions. Is "SONY DSC" part of the filename in your example?
In Aperture you can edit the IPTC, but not the EXIF. Does the camera model show in the upper part of the Info panel, that your screen capture does not show?
How are you importing to the gallerie and exporting from Aperture?
Have you disabled the Faces, Location flags in Aperture's preferences > Export?
And also excluded IPTC in the "Export" preset you are using?
And also disabled "Include Metadata in the export preset you are using? To be able to disable this flag, you have first to set the Export Preset to "edit" in the export panel. By default it will be enabled.

ok turn it off manually and turn it back on while holding the apple logo bottor or the function botton this will give you an option to choose if you want to startup with osx ow windows. let me know if this works

Sounds like your phone was hacked to work with any network. Doing the update re-locked it to the original carrier. All you can do now is contact the carrier it is locked to to see if they have an unlocking policy. Note that if it's AT&T they do not offer unlocking. otherwise find an un-activated sim for the original carrier and you can use it as an iPod.

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
Should solve your problem :~)

How to recover deleted photos but still inside the photoshop

Hello to everybody. I have a serious problem. I bought a new mobileHDD & i transfered all my photos plus some other items.But i made one stupid thing. I deleted one folder with 480 photos before i transfer it to the HDD. I found it after one week when I already emptied the bin. All the photos are inside the Photoshop nut to use them i need to reconnect them . But how can i do that....not possible. So do you have any solution . I need the photos (summer vacation from Italy!!!)

I am sorry, but no amount of exclamation marks are going to help you. You deleted the pictures and emptied the recycle bin [and, I assume, don't do backups]. You pictures are gone.
If the thumbnails are still showing in PSA SE, the best that could be done is to make them as big as possible and do screen captures.

The playlists and songs disapeared but the files are still inside!!

What can I do? the files are still taking memory but the iPod doesn´t show the songs and the playlists. My iPod has 9 gigs inside but there´s nothing to show! Nothing in the screen and nothing when i connect it to iTunes.
Is there any way to restore it? It happened suddenly after connecting the iPod to the computer and taking more time than it use to. My iTunes is managed manually...

Ok, so this is how apple solve the problems of their systems: Just restore it and lose all your information. That's pathetic.
Fortunately I could save my songs and repair my iPod with Yummipod.
Why apple never does real solutions and people from outside are able to solve it? Maybe because we have to buy an iPod every 2 years or something...
And then everybody laughs with the comercials on TV against PC. How funny right? I don't know what is more funny here.

How to delete the data inside a internal table?

I got a internal table name g_itab1.
currently my g_itab1 has a FNAME(50) component.
Inside my component there is ADMINO, EYEAR, FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME and CONTACT.
I want to clear away ADMINO, EYEAR, FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME and CONTACT inside my internal table.
How do i clear it? i have tried using CLEAR g_itab1.
It doesn't work.. the data are still inside.

ITunes 7.3.1 still has a nasty artwork bug

When I installed iTunes 7.3 I noticed some artwork was gone. I compared the actual file sizes to the backup and there was no change at all. I was able to get the covers again from the iTS, but as I really want to have the artwork inside the files, I tried to paste it into the tags (like I used to do since 7.0). That doesn't work, after pasting it, the artwork is gone again completely, but the files are now 4mb bigger. The artwork of these files (about 300 in total, and I cant figure out why some and some not) can not be browsed, but the rest of the tags is fine and the songs play just normal.
I trashed one of the affected albums and re-added it from the backup. Now the tags in iTunes were gone completely! I re-entered the correct tags and let iTunes get the artwork from the iTS. The artwork shows, but not for all files of the album. So again I tried to paste it into the tags of all songs, and voila: all artwork of this album is gone again and the files are 4mb bigger.
Same behaviour in iTunes 7.3.1.
I'm happy I have a good backup of my music, and I think the artwork is still inside the files, but iTunes 7.3 and 7.3.1 mess it up. From what I see only non-iTS files are affected, but only iTS artwork is lost. NOT nice.

ITunes 7.3.1 Still Broken - unknown error -54

I just downloaded iTunes 7.3.1 and am still getting:
Attempting to copy to the disk "data2" failed.
An unknown error occurred (-54).
Also when loading my ipod:
Attempting to copy to the disk "Diana's iPod" failed.
An unknown error occurred (-54).
I am getting this error when I try and load files from a hard drive (data1) to my library (on data2) and when trying to load those same files from my library to my ipod. Both data1 and data2 are internal hard drives separate from my system disk.
I was so excited when the fix was out, and so disappointed that my problem was not fixed by the release...

If your PO is of no use and has not gone to Vendor, then you can delete the line item in the PO.
Deleting the Line item in the PR will not affect the PO.

How do you view outside of nest, while working inside it?

I have edited a series of stills together into a sequence. All of these stills have different aspect ratios.
I nested them into a sequence and then brought the sequence into viewer. I scaled down, cropped and repositioned the nested sequence in viewer. I edited this nested sequence into a new sequence.
Now I want to reposition the stills inside the nested sequence so they fill the frame of the nested sequence. I can go into the nested sequence scale, crop and reposition the stills but I have to go outside of the nested sequence to see my results.
Is there anyway I can view the outside of the nested sequences while I'm adjusting my stills inside the nested sequence?

Hi,
there is a simple way.
Double-click on the nested sequence, then you will be able to adjust inside of the nested sequence.
To view outside of the nested sequence while making your adjustments, you may choose/activate (click on it) the tab of the nested sequence in the canvas or timeline.

Using Accordion Style text inside Flash

Looking for some ideas on how I could have text object with a link inside to display the information below the link still inside the text object. My thoughts were to use an html file inside the text object and have links that would display an accordion like text below the link. Before I start venturing in this direction, thought there may be a better approach?
Basic concept: Paragraph of text, inside the paragraph a link. When clicked the additional text appears below the link and the rest of the text pushes down, musch like an accordion style panel.
Look inside SPRY and there is nothing there.
Any ideas?

That's because it's probably stripping the characters it doesn't like, such as HTML and formatting. Your best strategy at that point is to convert it before you send it through your script so your script tolerates it. You can try the encode() function run on your string which will URL encode it and the decode() function can restore it. Otherwise you need to replace anything your script doesn't like with something else intentionally. e.g. turn <i>italics</i> into [i]italics[/i] and then later fix it.
I myself would look at what PHP is doing. Chances are it's running the striptags function. It's just a safety measure to stop SQL injections (make code safer). But that may not be what you want. If you're at all uncomfortable with that, you'd best not do it though. You take the risk someone will sneak something in that you do not want.

Image file not visible in style library where it is situated but still visible in site

I'm a bit stumped by this one - there are a set of images that are part of my masterpage in my site, and they are "in" (according to the link/url) the "/style library\branding2010/images/..." folder, however when you GO to this folder,
these images are nowhere to be found... how is this possible?
Has this item been deployed incorrectly?
What is the correct way to (a) fix, (b) do this in future?
There is a "branding2010.wsp" file ON the server, there is also the "*.master page that refers to these "phantom" images appear fine even in SharePoint Designer, and while you CAN see them in the "Browse" for picture window
IN SharePoint Designer, you can't add edit or delete these things...
I don't know much about branding (or sharepoint really) but I'm "in charge" - I'm site collection admin, but I can't seem to "see it" using Sharepoint designer, Sharepoint "proper", or "View/Manage All Site Content".
Any help or guidance would be great!
UPDATE: Hmmm... in "All Files" (Sharepoint Designer) you CAN get to and manage these files... is this the recommended workflow?

As you said that you can view the image files inside All Files in SharePoint Designer, so what is the image files’ location? Are they still inside the style library?
I suppose that the images may not be stored in the Style Library.
Please right click the file in SharePoint Designer and select Preview in Browser to check the URL of the images.
Per my knowledge, if the images are stored in the style library and you have permission to view or edit
the files, you can view or edit the files in the browser.
And you can also choose to edit the files in SharePoint Designer, both the two methods are supported.

Loss of IPTC facility

I shoot with a Panasonic FZ50 in RAW which also provides associated JPEG. My DAM is IMatch. I use Lightroom 1.1 for developing only. My work flow is:
1 Down load with Downloader pro
2 Eliminate 'no hopers' in BreezeBrowser
3 Import remaining images into LR as JPEG, develop and export them.
4 In IMatch, I write title & description into properties, assign categories and then copy all this in IPTC.
Sounds long winded, but that is the way I prefer to do it.
PROBLEM
For a very few images, the IPTC facility is lost. When I check that the data are in IPTC, the IPTC table is blank. I then try to write and save the data into the IPTC form, but it does not stay there. That is the form goes blank when I click the save button. IPTC data are not being saved to the image file.
To try to restore the facility, I re-export the original developed RAW image, and go through step 4 again, but IPTC still fails.
Next I do step 4 with the associated JPEG and write and save IPTC data, which then stays in the JPEG file and there after can be viewed in the normal way.
CONCLUSION
It appears that for these few images, the RAW conversion process in LR is destroying the ability of the resulting JPEG file to hold IPTC data.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Is there anyway to restore the IPTC facility to a JPEG?
If there were a means of attaching a sample set of files, I would do so, but this would be a download of some 13MB.

Apart from the problem in my initial post, I find that there is a problem of interoperability between applications. If I enter IPTC data in, say IMatch or BreezeBrowser, I cannot see it in LR.

Tip power cord broke off inside outlet.

The very tip of the male end of my power adaptor broke off INSIDE the computer. It is now stuck in the computer's power outlet. How do I get it out without disassembling my powerbook?
I should add that the outlet is still working and my replacement adaptor charges it, it's just that it doesn't sit comfortably with the other thing still inside it and occasionally it makes a little crackling noise (no sparks, just the noise)
Also, this is the second time that this happened with an Apple power cord in the space of a year. I am not unduly abusing my power cords, so what am I doing to cause this? Are Apple's power adaptors shoddy or is it me?

Yes, that will always be a danger.. which is why you use a tiny tiny amount of glue, and let it dry. You'll be able to pull it out, even if it glues to the metal.. as a non-pourous surface, the bond with the super glue won't be very strong.
Personally, I'd very seriously consider stripping the machine down, following the instructions at http://www.ifixit.com
