I have the IQ815 and wish to update to ver 3 software. Where do I find it. All I see is version 2 info.

You need to upgrade to Windows 7 first
TouchSmart 2.0 software for IQ500 and IQ800 Series PCs does not work correctly. Update to TouchSmart 3.0 or greater by downloading all of the available Software Solution updates from www.hp.com/support . Install them in the order that follows.
The following versions (or later) of the various TouchSmart applications are compatible with Windows 7:

Photo stream photos are only kept in photo stream for 30 days, although up to 1000 will remain on your device until you delete them. When you connect a new device to your photo stream it will only receive photos added in the last 30 days as the earlier photos are no longer there. Chances are, the missing photos were more than 30 days old.
If the missing photos are on another device, you could create a shared photo stream including the missing photos and invite yourself, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99. You would see then be able to access the photos on your new phone. Another option is to import them to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then sync them to your new phone using iTunes.

Can I have 815 and OAS 4081 on same machine?

I have Redhat 6.1, Oracle 815.02 installed fine without problems.
Can I now install OAS 4081 on this same machine in different homes and under different users? Has anyone managed to get both working on the same machine?

Both, buffers and onboard programs are memory objects. Each memory object is assigned to a unique object number in a single object number space, so your first suggestion is correct.

Finding missing webcam and touchsmart carosel

When I bought this computer it had the touchsmart carosel and the webcam now they can not be found. How do I find these things.

TouchSmart 3.0 + and WIndows 7

Hi All,I installed a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my IQ 804. I updated all the drivers, and Touchsmart software from the HP site. My Smart Center still hangs when I attempt to start it. Has anyone gotten the Toushmsart software to work on Windows 7?
Any tricks I need to follow, any specific order to install the updates? What gives?

you need to install the Touchsmart version 2 software first - you'll find it on your recovery partition, (do a search on it and you'll find a post somewhere in touchsmart forum) then download and install touchsmart 3.0 which upgrades to version 3.0 and then same goes for the rest of the apps..

Funny enough I just installed TS version 2.0 on a non-touchsmart PC, (My laptop running vista though) and works just great - lol....

9100 and the 9300 touchsmart

I used the application package from the 9100 with the 9300 and I get an error on start up acpi kernel mode error, it seemed to be related to osd and acpi application package
Is there another package for the smart buttons and touchsmart application or do all I need are the drivers from HP

I think you are using US standard keyboard setting. You need to go into Keyboard language settings...
Click Start, Control Panel.
Click Clock, Language, Region, Change Keyboards or other input methods.
Click Change Keyboards.
Click Add and select United States-International keyboard
Click OK
From drop down menu (Default Input Language) select United States International
Click OK.
You should get a little keyboard guy on your taskbar - right-click it and select International keyboard.
Open Notepad and press SHIFT, Tilde (~), and then N (or you can keep doing the ALT thing).

Inventory Audit Report - Not followed FIFO and Batch management

I have created an Item say XYZ, with Batch management and valuation methode FIFO.
Then I have created a batch say 1 with posting of opening balance transaction with posting date as 1st April 2009.
Now when I post an A/R Invoice with posting date as 19th May 2009 in which I have selected above batch.
I have also posted some more purchase transaction for same item before 19th May 2009 that is the date of sales invoice.
Now when I see Inventory Audit Report, system has not picked up the cost column as per Batch selection in A/R Invoice, and also not as per FIFO, but it has followed the system date of transaction for deriving cost as per FIFO.
Can anybody throw light on this ?

Irrespective of posting date you use for document posting, with FIFO Method system will arrange all the inventory posting in layers with First inventory posting will form the base for first inventory movement out and so on
Example:
1st Entry:(Opening Balances)
posting date : 01/04/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 100
2nd Entry: Purchase
posting date : 01/05/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 105
3rd Entry: Purchase
posting date :25/04/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 90
Layers created :
1.    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 100
2.     Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 105
3.     Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 90
4th Entry : Sales
Item : XYZ    quantity : 8
So here cost of goods sold will be : ( 5x100)+ ( 3x105) = 815
and it wont be ( 5x100)+ ( 3x90) =770 if that's what you are expecting

How do I get a new value for the service name field and update it in Connection Properties?

I am running Windows Vista. I just upgraded to Firefox 4. When I try to log on to the internet, it tells me the proxy server is refusing connections. A diagnostic reported Error 815 and said the remote server is not responding because there is an invalid value for the "Service Name" field. It said to get a new value and update it in Connection Properties. How do I do this?

When you create a new film script, the first page you see is a title page.
The page after this title page is the one where you generally type in your scenes.
It looks like you are facing some issue and not able to delete any text.
Can you please send me this script so that I can have a better look at your issue?
You can save this script to disk by using option 'File -> Save to disk'. This will create a '.stdoc' file on your system.

Depends on how big is your database.
For small database, doing a export and import is quick and dirty.
For larger database, I would suggest migrate the database. But this means a lot of work and test. This is what I would do if I am doing amigration:
1. Do a cold backup of your 815 database
2. On your new test box, try to install 815 and start your old database
3. Upgrade your database to 8174
4. Install 10gr2 on your new test box
5. Migrate your 8174 database to 10gr2.
6 Test a lot
7. Repeat steps 1-6 2-3 times
8. Document tthe process and your test results completely.
9. Repeat what you document on your production box.

Mixing Oracle 7 and Oracle 8i client

I don't know whether this is the right forum for this, but I could not find any other appropriate one.
We have a situation where a customer has Oracle7 client side installed for use by an application. Now we need to install Oracle8i client,for the same customer, for use by a new application. Will this result in some kind of clash? How does one handle this kind of multiple client versions?

15" Powerbook 1GHzwith UJ-815 refuses to work with ANYTHING

I have been reading the uj-816 article with interest (as I have the UJ-815) and have tried everything and still doesnt work, it attempts to read whatever disc I put in (including the system disc) about 3 times then spits it out. Im running 10.4.7 and have repaired my HDD with disc utilities. Ive made sure that I had the D0CB latest firmware, Ive reset the PRAM, used MacJanitor...... what do I do?
Also although my mac now registers my HP Laserjet 1020 as being connected, it refuses to load the driver that I downloaded from the HP website.......

I wouldn't say it doesn't bear repeating, regardless of how bone headed it may seem. It works, but as in all cases, beware and ymmv.
I was just searching for help on the same topic -- the uj-815 slot drive that I had placed in my pismo a few years ago just up and refused to accept a cd or dvd, an dthis happened moments ago. I'd been importing maybe 2 hours of lectures from disc when it simply would not take the third and final cd after I'd ejected the 2nd one as I always do, by clicking on the arrow in the finder. When it wouldn't take the cd, I restarted - still wouldn't take it. Then I let the system cool down (shut down iTunes and all other apps for whatever good that would do), searched the boards here for answers for 15 minutes, then tried to insert again - nothing doing.
When I searched the boards, I came across this thread and another where someone had inserted a card or paper inside which seemed to trigger stuck something or other. Very technical solutions, right up there with the old banging the tube on the side to get a picture. In my case, the uj-815 offered resistance to any cd or dvd I tried to slide in. Because I have a pismo (G3 firewire powerbook), I just popped the latch and removed the slot loading drive, gave it a couple of firm taps on the bottom and slid the drive back in to the pismo. Guess what - presto! It works again. I just burned the last lecture while typing this out.
In my case (with an easily removeable drive) it wasn't bone headed, it was a no brainer. I'm glad it was repeated because it helped in my case, with no risk of damage to my hard drive. Don't know how comfortable I'd be if I couldn't remove the drive first, but there it is.

Drivers for Analog Devices RTI-815

Does anyone know where I can find Labview drivers for an Analog
Devices RTI-815 card, if they exist?
The card came out of a Haake Rheocord System 90. The old
controller for it is a 286; we'd like to replace it with a newer computer

All 3 cards are still available (although AD has discontinued their cards UEI manufactures replacement units) The company I work for has these cards in several test rigs, and I'm looking at options of modernising the PC & control software without incurring the cost of a complete control system retrofit (the current control software is DOS based). In view of performance & accuracy it probably makes sense to upgrade the cards and signal conditioning, but In the short term that would be a difficult proposition.
We also have other test machines which use labview, AD 5B signal conditioning, and Siemens profi connected I/O. Ideally if we were to look at a complete retro I would be keen to commonise as much equipment as possible. However, while the current hardware remains available, and performs adequately It will be quite difficult to justify.
SSK: Also, I would be interested in the code that was you utilised, if you could dig it up that would be a great starting point.

Analog Devices RTI815 RTI-802 and Opto 22 AC28

I have an application that involves the AD, and opto 22 cards mentioned above in a test rig. Has anybody had any experience with these cards within labview?
* RTI-815 - Analog Input and Output card (+ some digital I/O)
* RTI-802 - Analog Output card
* AC28 - Digital I/O card

UJ 815 won't even burn cd's...

I have the dreaded UJ 815 and the usual sense key errors mentioned on these forums a thousand times. The thing is that I haven't even got round to trying to burn a DVD, as I can't even burn a CD.
Not through the finder, toast, itunes... anything. I have tried repairing permissions, Onyx and various versions of the firmware flasher from cynikal. Nothing's worked.
Also, when I put an audio cd in to rip to itunes, the drive is really loud - it sounds like a 2-stroke engine!
Oh, and for the record, it will read cd's and dvd's perfectly.
Does this mean a new drive in order to burn?

Since i haven't encountered this problem myself, I haven't experimented with different media in my Superdrive. I've always used either the cheapest possible TDK or no-name media I can find on sale from time to time in 100-disc spindles for $15, or the archival-quality Delkin or MAM-A Gold discs that supposedly outlast all others in the industry. I've never tried a disk my drive couldn't burn, but there are lots and lots of brands, types and speeds I haven't tried.
I suggested experimenting with other media just because that has often been the solution to similar problems with other types of drives that are fussy about what they'll burn (or even read). I can't promise that you'll find something that works. If you do, stock up on those discs and stick with them.
