IR and ID freezes twice a day.

Hello experts:
Almost twice a day, IR and ID freezes and we have to reboot the server. But when you look at the server, there is enough resources available in CPU and memory. This is a sandbox and there are only 5 users using the system.
This issue happnes especially when we do the search for Business systems or interfaces in IR and ID(Receiver determination and Interface determination).
Do I have to look for anything in JAVA?
As always your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
N.S

Hi Narayanan,
ensure the value of the MaxThreadCount property
i.e.,
J2EE configTool
  -> Global Server Configuration
      -> Application ThreadManager
is set to >= 300 (if not then change and restart engine)

  • IMac Freeze twice a day!!!

I have a 24inch iMac with GT120. My Problems are as below...
My iMac freezes minimum twice daily. I'm not sure what's the cause, as i never changed any hardwares, including RAM. Everything remains as stock configuration. I checked with Apple hardware test, no errors found, use disk utility to check my harddisk, all perfect! Resetting PRAM, done!
The iMac usually freezes when i switch windows, resizing windows, expose, and even activating Dashboard.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard won't help at all, by the way I installed all software updates available since Leopard. Anyone have the solutions to this?

    Hello,
*"Upgrading to Snow Leopard won't help at all,"*
According to your profile, you are already running Snow Leopard 10.6.1
*"i get the better solutions; repartition the backup harddisk, copy the installer into it and try boot from it... i'm doing it now and no error messages on the log file so far.... "*
    Problems aren't new I see.

    Try deleting this file.
    com.apple.finder.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences.
Move that file to the Trash and restart your iMac.
    Repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • BT keyboard and mouse freeze one or two times a day

New iMac, started freezing up about once or twice a day after a couple of weeks. Took a few occurrences to realise it was a KB/mouse problem rather than the computer itself. looking at forum posts it seems to be a common problem, though not often both devices at once. Powering the Mac off and then on again fixes the problem every time. Battery strength is good on both devices.
As suggested in several posts, I've tried removing the BT .plist file and rebooting. Assistant took some time to relocate the KB and mouse but managed eventually. However problem still recurring.
Next time it froze, plugged in a Logitech mouse which worked ok and the BT mouse started working immediately too (why would it do that?), but not the keyboard. BT Preferences say both devices connected, and paired and discoverable. Tried to run Set Up, says 'not found' (for mouse also, even though it's working). Turning the Mac off and on again restored normality.
Hung again twice today already. Following another post advice, I've removed Bluetooth from the Networking list (although it wasn't connected to anything). But it's just hung again while i was typing this (at least powering off then on again doesn't lose any data)
I'm new to Macs, so please excuse my descriptions of the problem being more anecdotal than technical. If anyone can suggest a logical course of action to resolve this problem, I'd be grateful.

I spent some time around to read all posts here and there.
I've got a brand new 20" imac with BT mighty mouse & a wired keyboard
My mouse used to freeze once or twice a day.
I used to type ctrl & space bar to open spotlight, type "bt" to get acces to bt panel in pref system, which was enough to reconnect.
I found two issues when reading things in forums:
Some people are facing a hardware issue with the metallic part behind the mouse cover being too folded to make a proper contact
Some other, like me, are facing a software issue. The problem appeared juste before 10,5,6 release, with an airport package.
I downloaded on apple website an older airport package and installed this:
    airport utility.app 5.3.2 (instead of 5.4.1)
airport base station agent.app 1.5 (instead of 1.5.1)
    com.apple.airportbasestationagent.plist dated 29may2008
These files are to be found there:
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/AirPortUtility_5_3_2_forLeopard
And you'll need "pacifist" shareware to be allowed to install older versions
A bit complicate, but 3 days now and I didn't have any freezing!

  • The third or fourth communication, firefox freezes many times/day, have to close down and restart firefox 5.0

I've upgraded to 5.0 firefox, and it freezes many times a day-have to close firefox and restart firefox - I've written you at least three other times about this and there's not been communication or resolution to this problem. This is really unacceptable - get back to me please.

So you have other postings, and what did you say there and what did you learn. Opening up another question doesn't help us to help you, if we have to start over each time. We want to know what you have done to try to fix the problem as well.

It will take longer to charge the 5G's battery than either the 3G or 4G's battery.

  • 100 times a day, Firefox is getting stucked for 40+ seconds and them freezes completely, while the rest of the PC is in perfect function.

When it freezes, the mouse pointer displays like if it was thinking and I can't simply do anything inside Firefox and the open page, however, the rest of the computer seems completely operational as I can open anything else from the Start Menu or opening any files... Then, 40+ seconds later, it becomes normal again... I don't think it happens on a regular time basis, but it happens many times in the day, some more continuous and it is becoming a real pain! I even re-started the computer a couple of times and nothing!... Honestly, I have been loyal to Firefox and still prefer it, but need a quick solution!... Please HELP!
I tried Chrome -just for proving- and it didn't happened in 2 hours, then went back to Firefox (my fav browser) and keeps freezing with the message: "Mozilla Firefox is not responding" in the upper left corner... HELP PLEASE!!!!

  • I'm getting an error message telling me to shut down my G5 OS X 10.5.8. this happens as much as twice a day. do i have a virus or malware?

i'm getting an error message telling me to shut down my G5 OS X 10.5.8. this happens as much as twice a day. do i have a virus or malware?

Is the screen in multiple languages saying to restart? If so, it's a kernel panic. It's highly unlikely you have a virus or malware.
Kernel panics are usually caused by a hardware problem – frequently RAM, a USB device or a Firewire device. What external devices do you have connected? When trying to troubleshoot problems, disconnect all external devices except your monitor, keyboard and mouse. Do you experience the same problems?
To eliminate RAM being the problem, Look at this link: Testing RAM @ http://guides.macrumors.com/Testing_RAM Then download & use Memtest & Ramber.
Do you have an Apple Hardware Test disc (the AHT is on the Install/Restore DVD that came with your Mac)? Running the Apple Hardware Test in Loop Mode is an excellent troubleshooting step for finding intermittent hardware problems. It is especially useful when troubleshooting intermittent kernel panics. If Loop Mode is supported by the version of the Apple Hardware Test you are using, you run the Extended Test in Loop Mode by pressing Control-L before starting the test. Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button. The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If a problem is found, the test will cease to loop, indicating the problem it found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure. In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.
May be a solution on one of these links.

  • 3.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB 1333MHz DDR3, 2TB FREEZES UP FROM DAY 1

    I have a new imac 3.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB 1333MHz DDR3, 2TB
Its been freezing since the day I've bought it. $2300 dollars down the drain.
I'm trying to edit with FCP but I never get very far. I called Apple support twice. Did the usual Pram, and pull out the plug and hold the button in for 5 seconds, when through the disk repair options, installed the OS. I'm afraid to call again, because i know their going to tell me to erase the disk. I also know thats not the problem, and its going to take a long time to reload everything. I have a MacBook i7, and a PowerMac which I also edit on, and there both solid. I'm an editor by trade.
So I just made a new account, attached a HD with footage on it, (I'm editing the same project on my Macbook, works great). Opened the project started to edit, 5 minutes in. Freeze... and the loud noise.
Been reading other posts... looks like this problem been going on for years.
Has anyone ever fixed this problem?????
Soon I will be boxing up the iMac and sending it back.
I've been editing on Mac's for 20 years.
I've never seen a Mac that really just does not work... this is it.
Its called the iMac. (also my iphone 3s died after a year)
Maybe Apple is getting too big.
Update: Packing it up and taking it back. I believe the Apple RAM is the problem. Lets see if the "Geniuses" can figure it out. I'm not holding my breath. When I brought my dead iphone 3S to the "Geniuses". They ran the same tests i did, had to wait around for a few hours to be told what i already knew. It was a dead. Listen, I Iove Apple, its so depressing, but I believe Apple knows theres a problem with the RAM on these computers. Too many people are having problems. Unlike Toyota, who pays for their faults.... Apple just gets away with it.

Update Just got my iMac back for the second time.
Again Apple has said there's nothing wrong with the computer.
    Apple erased the hard drive.
I just tried to upload Time Machine... it froze.
Tried it again, it worked, got everything back.
    Then wanted to update software.
Downloaded updated software, then when it rebooted and started to install, it froze.
    Did it again.. it froze.
Now just bringing in the updated OS, it worked, rebooted.
    Went to Safari... it froze.
Why doesn't the computer freeze when Apple has it?
    Is Apple lying?

  • When clicking on links that open in a new window, the links don't open and Firefox freezes in a way. I can navigate the page I am on but cannot click to open a new tab or bookmark.

When navigating the internet, if I come across a web page that has a link to open a picture or program in a new window, if I click on it, it does not open. Firefox immediately looses functionality in that I cannot open a new tab with the mouse wheel, right click to open a new tab, or use my bookmarks in either the drop down or toolbar to navigate away. I can usually still navigate the page that I am on, for example, (https://loanconsolidation.ed.gov/AppEntry/apply-online/appindex.jsp), when it freezes I cannot click on any of the content at the center of the page but I can still use the links from the list on the far left. For an example of the pictures, (http://www.insect-sale.com/), if you click on "New Arrivals" at the top of the page it takes you to a list of products that can only be viewed by clicking on them. Usually a picture of the item would open in a small window but it does not and Firefox freezes. This has also happen when I try a view a degree audit on a school's website where a program would usually open in a new window. The only thing I have been able to find that still functions properly when this happens is the home page button. I can click on it or use the wheel to open it in a tab just fine, but if I try and go anywhere else I cannot. The only way I can get Firefox back to normal is to use the Task Manager and end the process. Another thing I have noticed, that may or may not be related; is that my Norton Internet Security toolbar, that should show up below the bookmarks toolbar and above the tabs, only shows up about 1 out of every 10 times I open Firefox. Some days it doesn't show up at all. If it does show up and I log into Identity Safe, the autofill for the programed website works, even if the toolbar doesn't show up the next time I open Firefox.

    Go to Tools->Options->Apps
Here you should see two columns: Content Type on the left, Actions on the right.
Find and select excel spreadsheet or any other content type in the left column. There should be a corresponding action in the right column. What is it? You can use the drop-down list to select the option you want:
Always Ask - Firefox will ask each time: What do you want to do with this file?
Save file - Firefox will save this file to your computer
Use - Firefox will give this file to the program to open it
In case of saving, Firefox will either prompt you every time where you want the file to be saved, or save it to the default location. It depends on the preference in
    Tools->Options->General->Download

  • Purchased a new Apple TV and the remote double clicks each time I press the button. It worked fine during set up and for the first two days.  I have since moved it and this problem started. Restarted, reset, unplugged, change remotes, no change.Help please.

Purchased a new Apple TV and the remote double clicks each time I press the button. It worked fine during set up and for the first two days.  I have since moved it and this problem started. Restarted, reset, unplugged, changed remotes, no change. Latest software update. This is really annoying.  iPhone remote app works just fine.  Any suggestions?

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • Since I updated to iCloud, Mail on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 has been unable to connect to MobileMe more than once or twice per day. Mail on my iPhone 4 has no problems. What's wrong?

Since I updated to iCloud, (which may or may not be related) Mail on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 has been unable to connect to MobileMe more than once or twice per day. Mail on my iPhone 4 and my old iMac has no problems. When there is no service a yellow warning triangle appears adjacent to the Inbox and Connection Doctor reports,"Trying to log into this MobileMe IMAP account failed. Verify that username and password are correct."  Since it does fetch Mail from time to time they cannot be wrong.... can they? Should I update to 10.7 and if so what does that entail?

You have been using MobileMe's email settings, which sometimes continue to work for a time after migration but then get turned off. iCloud's mail server settings are different. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudmail.html
The situation with iCloud and Snow Leopard is described in detail here:
