Hello!
We need to generate user logins different then e-mails.
Please advise of the Self-Service Account registration UIs details (code name, where, ets) or direct technical documentation.
Is that the workflow UMX Registration Workflow (UMXREGWF)?

You should be able to do this via the API. Your best bet is to repeat the question on the Oracle9iAS Portal Security and Login Server forum.

Double check that the objectSid, accountname and domain is populated for the users in the FIM portal, and each user is connected to their AD counterparts

Good Model for Web Self-service User registration ?

Trying to build a web self-service user registration module.
9iAS documentation says 9iAS uses JAZNUserManager that uses jazn-data.xml.
I like jazn-data.xml because the password is encrypted and works with j_security_check with minimal coding, just need to make entries in web.xml.
Is this a good model, ie storing web users in jazn-data.xml ?

You should have a kind of auto-enrollment feature on Sharepoint side where, based on a menu selection, the user will be able to enroll himself and his account will be moved to an OU or added to groups based on the provided details. The problem with this
is that this is usually the source of duplicated user accounts in AD and it is not easy to apply a kind of control on how users should enroll themselves only one time and also hard to manage and cleanup later.

Self Service, User registration

Hi
Although having crawled through many sources so far I couldn't find an answer for the following:
I need to architect a Sharepoint solution, allowing users to self register with Active Directory. I played around with FIM, looking at Adaxes and PWM.
Nothing seemed to either provide an "out of the box" solution or is way too complex for the request I have.
Is there a simple (.asp based ?, other) solution out there, which will help me with this requirement ?
Any ideas ?

IRecruitment - Sort Location List alphabetically on external visitor page

Hi gurus,
We are using iRecruitment and were disappointed to discover that the location list on the external site sorts in the order the locations were added instead of alphabetically. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it sort alphabetically other than to reload all of our locations?
This field is a MessageChoiceLOV. Is there a way to change the type of field through personalizations? Should we add another field? Is there a different kind of field that would automatically sort or that would enable us to go directly to the search page, which is alphabetized?

Please enter field in iRec external Site visitor

Hi all,
In Oracle iRecruitment external Visitor page when applicant registers his details, the Address Line 1 field is mandatory. But it has a default value <Please Enter>. Client wants to remove that value from the field and it should be blank. Can anyone please tell me from where it is fetching?

The trend for customer who want a nicer front end to their external iRec site is to put in place their own web front end and communicate to iRec using BPEL.

Purchase Order Information in Self Service Pages in HRMS

Our system is on 12.1.3. We have a requirement such that a OAF page needs to be built and put after Location Changes (Self Service) which would give the Accounting segments and some other details as in Personal Info --> Assignemnts --> Purchase Order Info (D2K Forms of HRMS). User woudl select the values and then proceed to the review page.
1. How the data which the users would enter will be saved in the Transaction_API tables?
2. will that Automatically populate the review page with the old and new valuues.
if any one has worked on this please share the approach.

As far as my understanding and experience goes, page build is very complex using SSHR architecture as you will need to inherit SSHR AMs and Controller modules in your pages and also understand the code and supply of parameters etc to the pages. This will need a lot of research and though I want to help, It will be difficult to put it in a forum post in sufficient detail.
I can assure you the work involved will be in weeks than in days. Also, there is no way to display the review page based on a new region without custom build to do it.
However, a possible workaround which you could do is to use DFF or EIT to capture this information and then transfer it to the "Correct Home" of the data offline through a CP or via another node in the workflow.
Sorry to be pessimistic. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Is multi-factor auth required for self-service password reset and portal registration?

Hi, hoping someone can give some clarity on this. I'm dealing with strictly online accounts, no AD sync to local servers. I have enabled and configured self-service password reset in AzureAD. In that config I have required users to register
their alt contact info when logging into the portal. While testing this, I don't get prompted to register unless I've enabled multi-factor auth for the test user account. I need users to register in case they need to use SSPR, but I don't want
to force them into MFA. I've gone over the following article and it says nothing about requiring MFA for SSPR or forced portal registration to work.

I know there is a separate link for the registration portal that will guide users through the process, but that's a separate link. Maybe they'll set it up, maybe they won't. I'd like for the first sign-on to be a smooth process that gets them

I work on the password reset engineering team. Right now, you are correct, you cannot enforce registration for password reset during first sign in. This is a feature that we are working on right now, which will be available very soon for sign
ins to Azure, your connected apps, and the access panel, and will come a bit later for Office 365 sign ins, as well.
In the interim, you can configure SSPR to require users to register when they access the access panel at myapps.microsoft.com by following the instructions here: http://aka.ms/customizesspr (search for "Require users to register when signing in to the

How to enable fnd log in self service page

Hello,
In professional forms, we can enable fnd log using the profile options "FND: Debug Log Enabled" to Yes and "FND: Debug Log Level" to different levels.
Similarly, can we do the same with Self Service page? how and where can i see the log results? Also when i'm running the selfservice page from jDeveloper, is there any possibility to see the entire log?
I need to track why i'm unable to run a page from jdeveloper and i need to track the log.

Hi,
To Enable to Log for a self service page click on 'Diagnostics' link avaible at the Upper Right corner of the page. Now from the Diagnostic poplist select the 'Show Log On Screen' then select the log level and save.
Now you perform your fucntional steps all the log messages you will be able to see at the bottam of the page.

Default Value in a DFF is not getting populated in Self Service Page

I had an issue in Self Service Page.
In the SS page there is hidden mandatory field in DFF segment,which should get populated with a default select statement.
But this field is not getting populated with the default values.
But this is working fine in Forms , i.e the default value is populated in forms.
Why the default value is not populated in Self Service Pages?
For Eg: If there is a DFF "SAMPLE_DFF" which has some context with segment
Context Code : GB_CODE
Segment : "Enter the Group"
and this segment is made required and defaulted with a select stmt (select stmt returns 'XXXXX')
In forms if am not entering any value, then its defaulted to 'XXXXX'.
But in Self Service this is not happening.
Can anybody help me out...

Actually, I have narrowed down the problem. It is not quite the same.
DFF is Receivables, Address Information (Release 12). We have 2 attributes defined and we want the default value of the 2nd to be dependent on what the user selects in the 1st.
So the default value of the 2nd is defined as a SQL Statement, select :$FLEX$.INDUSTRY_CODE from dual (where INDUSTRY_CODE is the value set name from the 1st).
We know the syntax is correct because if we actually hardcode a default value in the 1st attribute (select 'BLAH' from dual), then we do see that the default value for the 2nd attribute fills in with BLAH as well. However, we do not want that. We want the user to choose a value for the 1st attribute from the LOV, and then have the 2nd attribute default to that same value. This is the part that does not seem to work in OAF, but definitely used to work in Forms.
Any thoughts?

How to remove Layout page when submitting reports in self service?

Hi, when submitting a report or request thru self service, there are 7 steps or pages to go thru. We would like to hide some of these pages and we learned that this could be done thru the Web HTML Call tab when creating the function for the report (System Administrator->Application->Function). For example if you want to hide the Schedule page, just add &scheduleRegion=Hide in the Web HTML Call. We wanted to hide the Layout page and we added layoutRegion=Hide but it's still not hiding it. The other pages we could hide but for some reason the layout page won't. Anybody knows how to do this? Did we get the correct region name for the Layout page (i.e layoutRegion)?

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.
