IRecruitment: New users cannot see jobs as candidates

Hi
I´m experiencing a problem with iRecruitment. All the people in my company have an Oracle user associated to their corresponding person. The ones created long before (i don´t know exactly when, maybe when iRecruitment was implemented), can connect using the employee candidate resp. and search for jobs without problem. The new created users also connect with the same responsibility, but they cannot see any job. I´ve run the following programs with no success:
- Synchronize WF LOCAL tables with the following values for the “Orig System” parameter:
1. PER_ROLE
2. FND_RESP
3. FND_USR
- Sync responsibility role data into the WF table
- Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation
Any idea?
Thank you in advance

Thanks guys. I finally solved it. We have a security policy activated to prevent users to see certain info (such as salaries) thru the app or database. One of the tables was per_all_vacancies. So we granted the profile value associated to that policy to these users and now they are able to search for vacancies. Thank you all of you for your help and effort. I´ve noted down all your suggestions so i can solve future problems regarding irec.

  • New Jabber user cannot see (only) one of the added buddies

Running ichat server, just a handful of OD users. OD is on the same machine as Ichat server. Nothing is limiting the use of Ichat by any of the OD users. Server G5 10.4.9, Clients managed Intel Imacs 10.4.9
    Added a new user.
New user can add buddies in the Jabber List.
New user can see all but 1 of them in the List.
One of the buddies, lets say UserX, can see the new user in her Jabber List.
No matter what we have tried from within Ichat the new user cannot see UserX.
Both users are members of the same groups and have matching access abilities.
Any suggestions. Thanks for looking at this.

New user can see all but 1 of them in the List.
If I understand it this correctly, 'new user' can see all other buddies except one. And all the other users can see this buddy.
Lets call the new user "userX" and the one they cannot see "userY" and lets call your ichat server "jabber.myserver.com"
The configuration files for users buddylist is stored in the spool di rectorywhich you can find at /var/jabber/spool/. In there you will find a directory the matches the name of your ichat server. For me that is jabber.clayford.com. In this directory you will find one xml file for eash user of ichat server. Their file name is the OD logon name for the server.
Stop the ichat server service and make back up of any files you edit before you start.
Open the file for "userX.xml" In this file you will see some xml code that starts <item jid='[email protected]' subscription='xxxxxx'>. there will be a number of them, one for each buddy.
Mke sure the xxxxxx is the word 'both' [with the quotes] and if the text ask='subscribe' exists in that line before the >,remove it. So that definition should now be: <item jid='[email protected]' subscription='both'>.
Save the file and now open the file userY.xml and check that the item <item jid='[email protected]' subscription='both'> exists.
Restart the ichat server and the problem should be fixed...

OK i am a step forward.
i checked help.sap.com and find a hint to the Security Zones.
    Defining Permissions for Security Zones
           1.      Navigate to Security Zones ® com.sap.nw.wpc ® wpc.
           2.      In the context menu of the following folders, choose Open Permissions and define the permissions specified.
    Permissions for Security Zones
    Folders
    Roles/Groups
    Permissions
    medium_safety
Site owners, editors, and authors (for example, the wpc_editor_role role)
    Select the End User checkbox.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
    no_safety
Visitors (for example, the everyone group)
    Select the End User checkbox.
You can leave the default entry for the Administrator column as None.
    I changed the no_safety (i added Group - Everyone)
Now i can see the Page.. but i also see at the top right of the page: EDIT PAGE
And a Standart EndUser should not see: Edit Page
    What can i do here?

  • Lion-Windows users cannot see attachments

I just upgraded to Lion, and now some Windows users cannot see/find attachments. I did all that was advised (clicking on the "Windows user friendly" list), but to no avail. I sent to several Windows users and no one can see attachments with the new Mail program. Also, one of the most important icons in the Mail toolbar ("Add Attachment") seems to be missing. This sometimes helped in previous Mail versions when sending to PCs, but I cannot locate it in Lion. Looks like I will have to use Microsoft Office Outlook for email. This is too bad, as I like the other features the new Apple Mail program has, but must use a trustworhty email program.

    Scott,
The issue is one I am chasing, and is due to Lion's change to not send Plain Text (apparently).  Although changed in the Compose window, when reviewed, it will have been sent with HTML, anyway.
While the actual problem is with MS and Outlook or Outlook Express, the work around once was to use the command to Make Plain Text before sending.

  • How do I allow new users to see Past instances of Publications.

I need to allow new users to see past instances of Publications, i.e. instances they weren't subscribed to. The only way I seem to be able to do it is to make them Administrators. There are Publication Rights called "View objects" and "View document instances" but they don't seem to do what I need. "Full Control" doesn't work either.
I guess the key question is, what right do administrators have that allows them to see all instances of a publication and how do I give that right to ordinary users?

    Hi Robert,
have you tried to give your users also the "View document" and "View document instances" rights on the original documents (reports) which are contained in the publication?

  • One user cannot see Inactive Addresses in Account Overview

One user cannot see Inactive Addresses in Account Overview in the CRM 7.0 IC.
This user has the same roles and authorizations as all the other users.
We have also performed a user comparison in CRM and ERP and have also reset the user buffers in both systems.
If I copy the user to another user in CRM and ERP the copied user can see the Inactive addresses. A user comparison shows that the user and copied user are identical.
    Any ideas?

  • Why is it when I convert a Keynote show into HTML, PC users cannot see it properly? Using latest OS and Keynote versions.

Why is it when I convert a keynote show into HTML, PC users cannot see it properly on their computers?

    JohnRobertBrown wrote:
It looks perfect using Google Chrome on my Mac. But doesn't work well on Explorer on a PC.  It seems to be way off center.
There is never any guarantee that automatically generated html will look right on every browser, especially Explorer.  For max compatibility with MS stuff it's best to use Office to start with instead of iWorks.
I don't know whether you could manually edit the Keynote html to make it work better with Explorer.  It would be interesting to know whether it looks right in Windows Safari, Chrome, or FireFox so you could know whether only IE does it wrong.

  • I have a application installed in my apps folder but others users cannot see them

I installed an app on my imac using OSX Lion. The app is in the application folder of the admin account. The other standard users cannot see the app. Is there a way that they can use the app and see it in the application folder when they log in?

Then move it into their application folders as well.

  • My users cannot see my java applets

I have a few java applets on my web page, but most of the users cannot see them.
I have changed my html's with the HTML Converter, hoping to overcome the problem, and got the following codes in my html's:
    In the <OBJECT> tag:
    http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-windows-i586.cab#Version=1,4,0,0
    In the <EMBED> tag:
    http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/index.html#download
    Questions:
    1. Will these URL's in the html automatically download, or tell the user about the java installations he needs?
    2. Is it the Java-Plugin or the Java Virtual Machine users have to download to view java programs?
Even if you don't have the answer I would be grateful if you can tell me if you are able see my java applet. If you can, you should see a flashing text reading "Mixed" in the middle of this page:
    http://medlem.spray.se/kungsgarden/mixed_e.htm
    Best regards,
    Mona

    Questions:
    1. Will these URL's in the html automatically
download, or tell the user about the java
installations he needs?Yes, on most browsers, the URLs and html you have written will automatically download the plugin or tell them where to go to get it. As a rule of thumb, if your users are on IE the plugin will automaitcally be downloaded. If your users are on Netscape they will be directed to the url in the embed tag. Your page looks right. It could be the code has an error in it and it is not the html. See my previous reply. Looks for errors and post them for me to see.
    2. Is it the Java-Plugin or the Java Virtual Machine
users have to download to view java programs? The Java plugin run the Java Virtual Machine. So, they have to download both to view applets, but they come together since the Java Virtual Machine is inside the Java Plugin.

  • New LoginManager cannot see all users

    Hi all,
Just trying to get to grips with users and roles in Azure, and I've hit a couple of questions.
Here's the process I've been through.
    I created a new server
I exported a database from an existing SQL Server as a bacpac file, and successfully imported it into Azure (this step I'm hazy on the details, because I only did it the once, and it was a while back now!)
I connected an existing MS Access front end to the Azure SQL Database successfully.
This database is for a client with half a dozen staff. All works well.
Going through the database in more detail today, I noticed that the database in question has users for the staff at my client, but not a user called Andrew - which I've always logged in as. Looking more closely, I see that the Login of Andrew, which I understand
was created as part of the provisioning process when I set up Azure SQL Database, is mapped to dbo within the database.
In order to keep things simple, I decided today to create a new user "Andrew" on the database, which would map to the Server login of Andrew. To do so, I used this statement:
    CREATE USER andrew
    FOR LOGIN Andrew
However, the following message was returned:
'Andrew' is not a valid login or you do not have permission.
This confuses me, as I can see that the login Andrew does exist, both when I look at the Security > Logins object within SSMS, and if I issue the statement
    SELECT * FROM sys.sql_logins
So, I thought that maybe the solution would be to create a new Login, called AndrewR, and then create a new User on the database (and on the master database), also called AndrewR. This I did, and then I used the following two statements (while logged in
to the Master database as the original Andrew account):
    exec sp_addrolemember 'loginmanager' , 'AndrewR'
    exec sp_addrolemember 'dbmanager' , 'AndrewR'
Now, all seems good, in that the login is created successfully, as is the user. However, I now have the following problems:
When I log in to master as AndrewR (the new user) I can see all the databases. But I can't see any user except AndrewR, dbo, guest, sys and INFORMATION_SCHEMA. When I log in as the original login (Andrew) I can see all the users on all the databases.
Despite having granted loginmanager role to AndrewR, when logged in as AndrewR if I try to create a new user, I get a strange error:
Password validation failed. The password does not meet policy requirements because it is not complex enough.
This would make sense except that the password I've tried to assign is 'drtrtDSP()*)_IPOJTh1s_FREDpw1!' which is about as complex as I can come up with!
None of this solves my original issue of trying to create a user called Andrew to match the original Login of Andrew.
I'm sorry to post several questions in one post, but they seem to me to be all part of this same issue.
Can anyone help or provide guidance?
Incidentally, I've read (several times!) the information at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee336235.aspx - this is where I've gained what little knowledge I have!
    Many thanks
    Andrew

    Hello
    Andrew,<o:p></o:p>
    Thank you
for the explanation. Is there is a specific reason why you want to create a
user 'Andrew' for the Server-level principal login 'Andrew'. Cause - <o:p></o:p>
    1. The
database user in the master database corresponding to the server-level
principal login cannot be altered or dropped.
    2. Although the server-level principal login is not a member of the two
database roles dbmanager and loginmanager in the master database, it has all
permissions granted to these two roles.<o:p></o:p>
Please refer msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/ff394108.aspx#logins and msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee336235.aspx#DatabasePerms for details.
    Also, I
believe only the creator of the database(and the server-level principal login)
can create users in that database. For ex - <o:p></o:p>
    After you
created user AndrewR and granted it the dbmanager and loginmanager roles.<o:p></o:p>
    1. Connect to the database server(master database) as AndrewR.<o:p></o:p>
    2. Create a new database AndrewDB and a new login AndrewR1, like below - <o:p></o:p>
    create database AndrewDB<o:p></o:p>
    create login AndrewR1<o:p></o:p>
    exec sp_addrolemember 'loginmanager' , 'AndrewR1'<o:p></o:p>
    exec sp_addrolemember 'dbmanager' , 'AndrewR1'<o:p></o:p>
    3. Connect to the database AndrewDB as AndrewR<o:p></o:p>
    Create user AndrewR1 for login
    AndrewR1
    -------à this works.<o:p></o:p>
    I hope this
    helps. <o:p></o:p>

  • Project Lite user cannot see tasks assigned ...

    Hi
I have assigned tasks to a user Project 2013 and linked the project to Project Online.
As the administrator, I see all my tasks in the Timesheet view in PWA but the users that use Project Lite canot view their tasks and cannot see them in their Timesheet.
I am quessing it is a permissions issue but cannot find where to set the right permissions.
    Any solutions out there?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Have you correctly published the assignment of the user from the project (either PWA or MS Project Pro)?
Is the user looking at the right period?
    Is the publish job successful?
Is the booking type committed and not proposed?
Is the resource the assignment owner of the assignment?
Have you assigned an enterprise resource and not a local resource? When you go to the resource center, select the resource, can you see the assignment?
    Hope this helps,

  • Other Mac users cannot see my shared public folder

Other users on my network cannot see my Public shared folder. I can see their public folders no problem. I can connect to my computer from another Mac and "connect as" myself and see folders.
I have File Sharing turned on. Permissions look copacetic. It says I'm the owner of the shared folder.
IT's has a profile on this same machine – its Public folder shows up for other users. When I set up a new account profile, its shared folder shows up no problem.
It may, just may, have to do with me changing my short login name after migrating to this machine. Problem is, I have no idea how to confirm that. Finder shows proper ownership and permissions in the info windows. I think there's something deeper down in the account system level that is wrong, but I don't know where to look.

If you have admin rights, you can create a new account in System Preferences and see if that shared folder shows up on the network. If it does, then it could be related to changing short name (which I have heard you aren't suppose to do). If not, it may be something in the system. Give that a try and post back what happens.

  • Exchange 2013 EAC Service Pack 1 New mailbox cannot see all OUs when selecting Browse with "Exchange Organization Management " permissions

Single forest 2 Domains. When I go to create a new mailbox in the Exchange Admin  Centre and "Browse" the Organizational Unit. I can only see a few OU in the Parent Domain and most in the Child Domain. I have tried "expand All" and
cannot see anywhere in the EAC to set a "Recipient Scope". The account I am using has "Exchange Organization Management " rights and is a Domain Admin as well.
The Exchange servers are members of the Root Domain.
In the "Select an Organizational Unit" menu there is a message "There are more results available than are currently displayed". I have tried searching as well and cannot find OUs that I should be able to.
All the servers have had Exchange 2013 Service pack 1 installed.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    John

Changing that setting resulted in the ECP site being inaccessible. So I changed it back
I have copied the user accounts to test with.
    Originals:
User1: can see OU's when making a new user through the ECP (access: domain, exchange recipient admin)
User2: cannot. (Enterprise, domain, exchange, schema admin)
    Test users:
test user1: copied from user 1, cannot see any OU's when creating a new user.
test user2: copied from user 2, can see all OU's when creating a new user.

    Dear all,
I recently migrate the Exchange server from Exchange 2007 on Windows Server 2003 to Exchange 2013 on Windows 2012 R2. I can open the mailbox moved from Exchange 2007 without any problem. However when I created a new user in Exchange 2013, the user cannot

Thank for your reply. Below is the result, please note there has four exchange servers, HKAD and HKEX are the existing Exchange 2007 server. HKCAS1 and HKCAS2 are the new Exchange Server 2013 - both of xchange server 2013 are using owa.ksi.com.hk
