IRep EDI Interfaces and ISG

Hi,
I understand with the version 12 of E-Business Suite ISG and IRep are included with it. With respect to that, it will be great if someone in the B2B space can confirm if:
1. The following interaces are avaliable in iRep and ISG to be service enabled? What product/component dependency do they have?
- Purchasing Headers Open Interface ECERRQI
- OUT: Purchase Order (850/ORDERS) ECEPOO
- OUT: Application Advice (824/APERAK) ECEADVO
- IN: Ship Notice/Manifest (856/DESADV) ECASNI
- IN: Invoice (810/INVOIC) ECEINI
- OUT: Purchase Order Change (860/ORDCHG) ECEPOCO
2. Will the above Open Interfaces load/produce the respective UN/EDIFACT documents mentioned OOTB? Or Is there a seperate EDI translator required?
Appreciate any additional information/document/links on transacting EDIFACT documents with E-business suite.
Thanks in advance.

  • Sender / Receiver ID mapping for EDI interfaces and Type of seeburger adapt

We need to set up a interface using Seeburger adapter for Purchase order IDOC to 850 EDI mapping.. After reading from SDN,
    1) We can use the standard mapping in BIC MD to do E2X and X2E mapping..
    2) We can use any of the AS2, EDI generic adapter, Seeburger FTP adapter or Seeburger SFTP adapter...
How do we decide which adapters should be chosen? I can see that it makes sense to use SFTP adapter or AS2 adapter for security...
Also how do we map Sender and Receiver IDs on the EDI message.. Should this be hardcoded as part of mapping or is there any facility in seeburger adapter to do this? I saw some references to Party Identifiers and not sure how it is used in setting up Sender/ Receiver ID
Also the graphical mapping to convert IDOC XML to EDI XML, Do we have standard mapping defined or do we need to create our own graphical mapping.

    Hi Kris,
I had worked in the somehow same scenario, It was IDOC to EDIFACT file.
I can give you few clues which might be helpful
In BIC MD you have to create your own mapping if the standard mapping is not available (First check all the standard mappings in BIC). For your reference you need X2E mapping, as your scenario is IDOC to 850 EDI.
"the graphical mapping to convert IDOC XML to EDI XML, Do we have standard mapping defined or do we need to create our own graphical mapping."
In graphical mapping i created my own mapping, Seeburger has given some sample mappings you can check those for your reference (SEEBURGER_GENERIC_EDI software component). Mostly you have to create your own. You need a document from your functional consultant so that you are able to map correct fields and constants.
"how do we map Sender and Receiver IDs on the EDI message.. Should this be hardcoded as part of mapping or is there any facility in seeburger adapter to do this? I saw some references to Party Identifiers and not sure how it is used in setting up Sender/ Receiver ID"
This has been generally hardcoded in message mapping (In my case i hardcoded). If any of ur IDOC field contains that data you can map that field. But better Idea is ask your functional expert.
"How do we decide which adapters should be chosen? I can see that it makes sense to use SFTP adapter or AS2 adapter for security... "
You can choose adapter according to your requirement. In my case i used File adapter as i have to create file in PI server only. My suggestion you can use SFTP for seeburger
Hope these points are helpfu for u

  • Designing EDI Interfaces for Advance Shipment Notification and POD

Our client does not engage in manufacturing and distribution of its products and components. They have developed partnerships with companies who provide distribution, manufacturing, shipping and movement services. They have authorized Forwarding Agents to transport the shipment. However, our client monitors and controls the business operations and remains the final authority in decision making.
The distribution company does the actual delivery and sends our client shipment confirmation (EDI-856). A single IDOC (SHPCON) comes in and performs the following functions
Update the delivery document (set picking value based on what shipped)
Generate a shipment document (with Handling Unit Information)
        Post Goods Issue
We are facing performance issue with this kind of setup and the remedy suggested is to have multiple IDOC types to come in and create the shipment document and do the PGI separately.
I would like to hear experiences from practitioners on how they designed this requirement with other clients

    Hi Prabhahar,
    Try in this transaction NACE.
Select V2 for Shipping.  And click output types.
Select LALE (Shipping Notification to Sold-to-party) or LAVA (Outgoing Shipping Notification) and use the Program RSNASTED for EDI processing and customize with the help of ABAPer.
    Hope this helps.

  • EDI interface with MM

    Hi Gurus,
I want to have detailed information on EDI interfaces with MM. A detailed explanation will be highly appreciated.
    thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi
EDI interface with MM can be anything that may be required as per the scenario needed. Any interface to SAP from legacy using EDI application. The most imagined interface can be Say there is a third party system in which Purchase orders or Req are entered by different Buyers and those need to be interfaced to SAP for creating the orders in SAP.
Similarly another thing that can be imagined is Material movements posting from a third party warehouse system
Please let me know if you have any specific question on this.

    Hi All,
Pls let me blog/steps for scenario for Supplier Invoice and Dispatch Advice using Seeburger.
For Supplier Invoice I assume R/3 will send data to Vendor (810).
    1. Pls let me know for R/3 to XI will we use INVOCE IDOC?
    2. Pls let me know for R/3 to XI Communication do we will use same Distributiion Model setup?
    3. Pls let me know what Seeburger BIC modules I need to use in Seeburger AS2/File Receiver Adapter
    4. Which Interface and Adapter  I need to use for 810 and which Interface and Adapter  I need to use for 997.
Pls send its setup with its Mappings defined in Modules.
    5. What is Disptach Advice?  Is it also same like Supplier Invoice ? Does it also have EDI Number and if yes then what?
Pls send me blogs for the above Supplier Invoice and Dispatch Advice settings.

YOu have to login to the Physical box in which XI is installed (Take Basis Help.
In one of the drives, you will find a folder called seeburger.
Inside that folder, you can browse to find the XSD structure for your 810 .
YOu will find different XSDs for different versions of 810.
Suppose your EDI 810 version is 4010, then you have to use the XSD for 810 4010 version (There will be separate folders for each transaction set/version combination.
It will be there also in the software CD that seeburger provides when you buy it.

No need of split 997 in outbound case. In this case, you will send the 810 and the partner will send the 997.
So, to receive that 997 file, you need another scenario. You need the split 997 communication channel only in inbound case like in 850, but not in outbound case.

like I said earlier, it is an outbound document if your company is the vendor.
It will be inbound if your company is the Customer to some other company.
The IDOC that is used usually will be DESADV idoc.

  • Customize EDI interface

    Hi -
I am required to customize an EDI interface, here's what I need to do..
While triggering DELVRY03 Idoc from delivery doc, I need to go to couple of z-tables(X-references) and pick required data (corresponding values) and insert it in Idoc by overwriting on the data populated in few of the Idoc segments.
Can you please advice how can I do this?
    Thank you,
    Sruthi

    Hi Aparna,
I don't have to extend the Idoc, I just have to change the value in the fields of the Idoc by looking at some X-ref tables.
Ex. If E1EDK01-BELNR == 'ABC', then I have to go to a X-ref table and pick a value corresponding to 'ABC' and populate that in BELNR instead of 'ABC'.
Can you please suggest how this can be done?
    Thank you,
    Sruthi.

  • EDI 821 and EDI 823 field mapping file and basic IDOC type and message type

    Hi All,
We are facing some issues regarding EDI 821 and EDI 823 file mappings.
We are mapping EDI 821 and EDI 823 transactions into SAP using IDOCs. Currently we are using the below entries
    EDI 823 - Lock Box
    Basic IDOC type - FINSTA01
    Message type - FINSTA
    Process Code  - FINS
The problem is we are able to get the IDOC into SAP with status red and the various errors were due to not able to create the lockbox entry in SAP and once we got yellow status also but the lock box entry was not created and the errors are like No Conversions,no header etc.
    EDI 821 -
    Basic IDOC type - PEXR2002
Message type - PAYEXT OR REMADV
Process Code  - PEXC OR REMA
We are facing the same problem here also and the internal payment order is not creating in SAP and IDOC was generated with yellow status and red status.
We are trying different combinations but nothing is working so far.
I need the following things to proceed furthur.
1)Are the IDOC , Message and process codes are correct that I am using now for both EDI 821 and EDI 823
2)If those are not correct, can you please let me know the correct entries
    3) Please provide me the field mapping if any one of you have worked earlier for both the above IDOC and message type or new ones and we have one field mapping now but if you can send it to me then  I can re check it.
    4) Do we have to create any configuraion or customizing in SAP to create the IDOC in green status and if so please let me know the customizing steps and procedures for both EDI 821 and EDI 823.
thanks in advance for all your help.
Please let me know if my question is not clear.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh,
I believe you are using those interfaces with the business partner type as Bank, Whatever idoc type, message type and process code you have used are perfectly correct.
First of all did you enable your bank for EDI, the house bank has to be EDI enabled first then only your idoc's can be processed, talk to your fi functional consultant and he might help you.
Are you can give me the exact error and i can help you as well.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh.

  • How to add new payment methods to an existing EDI interface to bank

    Hello:
<b>Requirment:</b> Need to add  two new payment methods to an existing EDI interface to bank. As of now only USD EFT's are sent. With the new set up we need to be able to send CAD and USD checks and CAD EFT's to that particualr bank.
<b>Scenario:</b> The payment methods are all set up in the payment program. I need two separate variants on the program RFF0EDI1 thats triggers the EDI file. The trigger of the EDI after the payment run should have a different variant... but the message type ought to be the same.
Can some one please exlpain how I should go about setting this up. Thank you.

I figured out the way to do it myself, after poking around the system for hours together.
All I need to do was to make config changes in FI12- define the posting rules and the bank accounts the checks needs to be drawn against. Also adding the payment method "C" in the DME section of the FI12. Next check and see if the Idoc message types have been set to what was required by clicking on "EDI partner  profile in the DME section.  Also to have different varaints for the program RFF0EDI1  , I just had to goto SE38 select the program and create the new variant. For enabling EDI I had to do some config changes in FBZP- MAINTAIN PAYMENT PROGRAM CONFIGURATION: PAYMENT METHODS in country, Delete the entry made in the "Name of print data set" in the form print section and enter "RFF0EDI" under "Name of the print program" in the form data section. If anybody needs any other information , please let me know. Thanks everyone.

  • The difference between IEEE802.1Q Native VLAN sub-interface and Physical interface?

    Hello
I think the following topologies are supported for Cisco Routers
And the Physical interface also can be using as Native VLAN interface right?
    Topology 1.
     R1 Gi0.1 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling  L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0.1
     encapsulation dot1Q 1 native
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    Topology 2.
    R1 Gi0 ------ IEEE802.1Q Tunneling L2SW ------ Gi0 R2
    interface GigabitEthernet0
    ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
And is it ok to use the physical interface and sub-interface with dynamic routing such as EIGRP or OSPF etc?
    R1 Gi 0 ---- Point to Multipoint EIGRP or OSPF ---- Gi0 R2 / R3
Gi 0.20--- Point to Point EIGRP or OSPF --- Gi0.10 R4  (same VLAN-ID)
    R1 - configuration
    interface GigabitEthernet0
     ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
    interface GigabitEthernet8.20
     encapsulation dot1Q 20
     ip address 20.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
Any information is very appreciated. but if there is any CCO document please let me know.
Thank you very much and regards,
    Masanobu Hiyoshi

    Hello,
    The diagram is helpful.
If I am getting you correctly, you have three routers interconnected by a switch, and you want them to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion even though the switch is capable of allowing direct communication between any of these routers.
Your first scenario is concerned with all three routers being in the same VLAN, and by using neighbor commands, you force these routers to establish targeted EIGRP adjacencies R1-R2 and R1-R3, with R1 being the hub.
Your second scenario is concerned with creating one VLAN per spoke, having subinterfaces for each spoke VLAN created on R1 as the router, and putting each spoke just in its own VLAN.
Your scenarios are not really concerned with the concept of native VLAN or the way it is configured, to be honest. Whether you use a native VLAN in either of your scenarios, or whether you configure the native VLAN on a subinterface or on the physical interface makes no difference. There is simply no difference to using or not using a native VLAN in any of your scenarios, and there is no difference to the native VLAN configuration being placed on a physical interface or a subinterface. It's as plain as that. Both your scenarios will work.
My personal opinion, though, is that forcing routers on a broadcast multi-access segment such as Ethernet to operate in a hub-and-spoke fashion is somewhat artificial. Why would you want to do this? Both scenarios have drawbacks: in the first scenario, you need to add a neighbor statement for each spoke to the hub, limiting the scalability. In the second scenario, you waste VLANs and IP subnets if there are many spokes. The primary question is, though: why would you want an Ethernet segment to operate as a hub-and-spoke network? Sure, these things are done but they are motivated by specific needs so I would like to know if you have any.
Even if you needed your network to operate in a hub-and-spoke mode, there are more efficient means of achieving that: Cisco switches support so-called protected ports that are prevented from talking to each other. By configuring the switch ports to spokes as protected, you will prevent the spokes from seeing each other. You would not need, then, to configure static neighbors in EIGRP, or to waste VLANs for individual spokes. What you would need to do would be deactivating the split horizon on R1's interface, and using the ip next-hop-self eigrp command on R1 to tweak the next hop information to point to R1 so that the spokes do not attempt to route packets to each other directly but rather route them over R1.
I do not believe I have seen any special CCO documents regarding the use of physical interfaces or subinterfaces for native VLAN or for your scenarios.
    Best regards,
    Peter

thnxClasses and interfaces are not identified by just their "name", like Runnable. The actual "name" the compiler uses is java.lang.Runnable. So even if you duplicate the Runnable interface in your own package, it's not the same as far as the compiler is concerned, because it's in a different package.
    Try importing both java.util.* and java.awt.* (which both have a class or interface named List), and then try to compile List myList = new ArrayList();

    Events :
    Technically speaking :
" Events are notifications an object receives from, or transmits to, other objects or applications. Events allow objects to perform actions whenever a specific occurrence takes place. Microsoft Windows is an event-driven operating system, events can come from other objects, applications, or user input such as mouse clicks or key presses. "
Lets say you have an ALV - An editable one ...
Lats say - Once you press some button  you want some kind of validation to be done.
    How to do this ?
Raise an Event - Which is handled by a method and write the validation code.
Now you might argue, that I can do it in this way : Capture the function code - and call the validate method.
Yes, in this case it can be done.. But lets say .. you change a field in the ALV and you want the validation to be done as soon as he is done with typing.
Where is the function code here ? No function code... But there is an event here - The data changed event.
So you can raise a data changed event that can be handled and will do the validation.
It is not user friendly that you ask the user to press a button (to get the function code) for validation each time he enters a data.
The events can be raised by a system, or by a program also. So in this case the data changed event is raised by a system that you can handle.
Also, Lets say on a particular action you want some code to trigger. (You can take the same example of validation code). In this case the code to trigger is in a separate class. The object of which is not available here at this moment. (This case happens very frequently).
Advantage with events : Event handlers can be in a separate class also.
e.g : In the middle of some business logic .. you encounter a error. You want to send this information to the UI (to user - in form of a pop up) and then continue with some processing.
In many cases - A direct method call to trigger the pop up is not done. Because (in ideal cases) the engine must not interact with UI directly - Because the UI could be some other application - like a windows UI but the error comes from some SAP program.
So - A event is raised from the engine that is handled in the UI and a pop up is triggered.
Here -- I would have different classes (lets say for different Operating Systems). And all these classes must register to the event ERROR raised in application.
And these different classes for different Operation systems will have different code to raise a pop-up.
Now you can imagine : If you coded a pop-up for Windows (in your application logic) .. it will not work for Mac or Linux. But of you raise a event.. that is handled separately by a different UI classes for Win, Linux or Mac  they will catch this event and process accordingly.
May be I complicated this explanation .... but I couldn't think of a simpler and concrete example.
    Cheers.
    Varun.
