Iron Browser: login works but resets and fails...

I wonder if anyone else is having this issue in Iron browser.  I log into the wiki/forum/etc and the redirect takes me back to the page I was at without logging me in... the redirect page says login successful, but when the page finishes loading, the login option is still at the top and options like replying to posts or adding an AUR package are not there because the page basically didn't register that you logged in.
Looking back over this, my words do seem slightly confusing, but basically put, Iron won't let me log in... and I'm not sure what's up.  If at least one other person could recreate the issue, I wouldn't feel so bad.  So far it does this on my laptop and Desktop... both of which are running Arch64.

Also, the spin up/spin down frequency seems to have increased dramatically recently. This concerns me, as high spin up cycles can cause them to have a shortened life span. It used to only spin up when Time Machine was going to do a backup. But now it is spinning up on the order of once every five to ten minutes, then spinning down after about two minutes on.

  • Saved logins work, but don't show - window blank and can't show passwords

    This has been happening for quite some time now, but I need to resolve it before it can't be. My saved logins work, but when I try to display them I get an empty display. The 'Show Passwords' button is grayed out so no love there.
    The dates on my pertinent files:
    signons.sqlite 7/23/2010 (looks like it's frozen in time)
    signons.sqlite-journal 3/28/2011 (today)
    key3.db 3/14/2011
    I've tried password exporter add-on and password editor add-on and nothing seems to be able to disply/export my logins and/or passwords. There has to be a trick to get this thing working again. I remember trying to find a fix earlier and it was talking about UTF8 or something on the older signons.txt file.
    How do I get my Tools->Options->Security->Saved Passwords
    to display my (probably hundreds of) logins and passwords so I can export them for backup ?
    TIA, Bill
    PS: I do have problems with logins saved since last July that I try to change. It's like it reverts back to the old ones that were saved prior to the FF bug that caused them not to be visible rather than the new ones that I try to save now. Not sure if new logins work right or not, I'm not sure which ones to try that were saved after July (to make a test).

    To check whether it's the database being corrupted, I would try deleting the entries that you think are corrupt (after backing up the file of course) to see whether it then shows up in the password manager.
    FYI, entries not looking like others doesn't necessarily mean they're corrupt. There are different types of entries, which use different sets of fields. A web form entry uses hostname, formSubmitURL, username, password, usernameField, and passwordField; whereas an HTTP authentication entry uses hostname, httpRealm, username, and password (although in the table username and password become encryptedUsername and encryptedPassword); for other protocols, generally only the hostname, username, and password fields are used.
    I hope you can recover your database one way or another. Because of the encryption and the paucity of documentation, it's not easy to retrieve passwords other than through the Password Manager, though I'm sure it's possible. I don't know of any other software that decrypts the database even without a Master Password set, except probably that written for the purpose of stealing passwords, which should never be trusted. If you do find such software and you know it to be trustworthy, let us all know.

  • Java works, but jar and javac don't

    java at the command line works, but jar and javac don't
    could it be the CLASSPATH
    I'm running Windows if that helps. If you need more info ask away
    Thanks

    Definitely sounds like the classpath problem. From the sounds of the error message, you are using win95/98/ME, and so the best way to get around this is to set the classpath in your autoexec.bat file. I think the problem is because you have to set 2 variables in your path, one for the running of the java (JRE) and one for the tools to process the uncompiled files (SDK);
    rightclick on your autoexec.bat and select Edit
    here is my path, change yours accordingly so the paths lead to your windows, command and bin directories accordingly.
    PATH=D:\WINDOWS;D:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;D:\PROGRAM FILES\JAVASOFT\J2SDK1.4\BIN
    SET CLASSPATH=.;D:\PROGRAM FILES\JAVASOFT\J2SDK1.4\BIN\TOOLS.JAR
    Theres a section on setting classpath in This site at :
    java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/win32/classpath.html
    and if that doesn't work, then i recommend you download and IDE which sorts ou most of these problems for you, and makes programming much easier also :)

    My touch is frozen on a black screen with the apple logo and a load bar, nothing works, tried resetting and everything, any suggestions?

    In that case....if you have Apple Care, give support a call - otherwise, walk it into the nearest Apple Store.
    Good luck.

  • Purchased used 4th g it has a lot of glitches sound is not working at all, shutting it off it automaticlly turns back on in 1 min, camera works but camcorder doesn't, all game apps work fine, did freeze when on app store but reset and it seemed to work.

    my ipod touch 4th g is running ios 6.0.1 but is very glitchy.  there is no sound and if I plug in earphones it freezes up.  camera does work but freezes when i try to use Camcorder.  App store was acting up but after reseting it multiple times it is working again.  When I turn it off with the slidder it reboots after one minute.  It is also hard to put into dfu mode and take back out holding consecutive buttons doesn't work....Was stuck in recovery mode for quite awhile till I used a program to kick it out.  I did find youtube vidio that showed how to restore audio by deleating a file but of course this takes a little work and don't know if it would work with this ios. Was just wondering what I can try now.  Would realy like sound.  not so worried about camcorder.  Did check settings and no apps are blocked.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    iOS: How to back up your data and set up as a new device
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • JMS send seems to work, but receive and browse not

    Hi,
    I use an Oracle9i database, registered it to OID and also registered a QueueConnectionFactory using Oracle sample code with slight changes as you can see below.
    I then wrote a little AQ-JMS test programm to test sending and receiving messages also using Oracle's sample code with slight changes.
    Registration works (as much as I can tell - at least I can see an entry in the OracleDBConnections in OID). Sending passes without any error messages and retrieval as well as browsing crashes with a null pointer exception of the style:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
         at oracle.jms.AQjmsConsumer.<init>(AQjmsConsumer.java:222)
         at oracle.jms.AQjmsQueueBrowser.<init>(AQjmsQueueBrowser.java:99)

         at TestRegisteredAQQCF.browse(TestRegisteredAQQCF.java:73)
         at TestRegisteredAQQCF.main(TestRegisteredAQQCF.java:26)
    I will mark the lines, where this exceptions occur with //EXCEPTION
    Oracle's Enterprise Manager Console says, there were no waiting, ready or expired messages in the queue.
    Actually I simply want to use AQ as resource provider for OAS Dev Preview, but I could not find detailed documentation on that (in oc4j_j2ee_svcguide_r2.pdf I cannot find, what I have to put into jms.xml in case of AQ as resource provider) so I tried to test, whether I can send and receive at all. Maybe someone of you knows, what is wrong.

    I'm not sure at this point why you see NullPointerException,
    I suspect something with the Queue. You code is running in my
    environment.
    If you could, please provide info on how the queue
    carnotaq.carnotqueue was created (pl/sql, java api calls, etc.).
    Make sure that carnotaq.carnotqueue is a type that can contain
    object message payloads.
    Here is the PL/SQL code I used to create the queue. You may want
    to try this to see if error remains.
    ---- start pl/sql script ----
    -- drop queue
    CONNECT carnotaq/carnotaq;
    execute dbms_aqadm.drop_queue_table( queue_table => 'CARNOTQUEUE', force => true
    -- create queue
    execute dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table( queue_table => 'CARNOTQUEUE', queue_paylo
    ad_type => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_OBJECT_MESSAGE', comment => 'single-consumer, default so
    rt ordering, Obj Message', compatible => '8.1.0' );

  • Manual Sync is working, but automatic and login & logout not working.

    I'm having a problem in that I can do a manual sync with the "Sync Home Now".
    However, whenever trying to have an automatic sync happen on it's own or the syncing to happen at login and logout. Syncing doesn't work.
    After turning on more version loggin from MirrorAgent I think I've narrowed down the problem.
    At login I see this:
    MHD: =============================================================================== =====================
    MHD: **** MirrorAgent-99.9.3 (8L2127) (pid 512) starting Sun Oct 22 13:54:51 2006
    MHD: Log verbosity level = 2.
    MHD: UID = 1027, EUID = 1027
    MHD: Empty thread
    MHD: Command thread starting.
    MHD: unpackhome: home->xmlSpec = "afp://192.168.102.3/Users"
    MHD: unpackhome: home->mhdPath = "ramos-m"
    However, "afp://192.168.102.3" is not where my home directory resides.
    Also at automatic time a similar message:
    Sun Oct 22 14:01:04.180 2006 * Syncing "HomeSync_Mirror"
    Trying to mount remote home server "afp://192.168.102.3/Users"
    Again wrong IP address. I've double and triple check the OD server and it's serving the correct info:
    HomeDirectory: <homedir><url>afp://172.16.1.101/Users</url><path>ramos-m</path></homedir>
    NFSHomeDirectory: /Network/Servers/BigMac.local/Users/ramos-m
    I've rebooted the client so many time I've lost count. I also continously get the message at login time "Your network home has changed since your last synchronization. Please select the location of your latest files."
    I've tried selecting both Network Home as well as Local Home many times yet I still have that old stuck IP address. How do I get the client to get unstuck with the old IP address and get the new one?

    I've found more info. I think I've found the file that has that string in it. There's a file called:
    /Users/ramos-m/Library/Mirrors/0016cb8b9896/mirrors.plist
    Which seems to have the string:
    <key>home_xmlSpec</key>
    <string>afp://192.168.102.3/Users</string>
    Which is the incorrect home. Why is this here and how do I fix it? Do I just put the right one in there? Somehow that feels wrong in that it's only a band-aid. Why isn't this file getting updated? What is it?
    Thanks,
    Rich

  • 9630 Keyboard/Buttons not working; hard resets and multiple reloads of OS did not correct

    My BlackBerry 9630 Tour is a little more than a year old. Yesterday the keyboard, trackball, and all buttons stopped working while I was typing out an email. I could not power off the Blackberry without removing the battery for a hard reset. Unfortunately, even after many hard resets, the problem persisted, so I went to the forums for help and tried everything that seemed relevant (multiple times) with no success.
    After reviewing a number of tech support posts, this problem does not appear to be unique to any given model of BB and contact with liquids is cited as a common but not the only cause for this condition.
    I was outside on a very hot and humid day when the malfunction occurred so it is possible some perspiration may have come into contact with the keypad, convenience buttons, or trackball and caused the lockup.
    I'm looking for someone with more smarts than me to help me troubleshoot, identify the actual problem, and identify the proper corrective actions. See below for a synopsis of my actions taken, with the exception of taking it to the shop for repair/replacement.
    The corrective actions listed on the forums and blogs are varied but essentially fall into two primary solutions:
    1. If moisture is suspected to be the issue, let the BB dry out overnight
        a. Pull the battery, naturally air dry or use a blow dryer, let it sit unplugged with no battery for at least 12 hours
        b. If this doesn't immediately work, try a clean install of the OS (see below)
        c. If this doesn't work, take to the shop and they'll either replace the keyboard and/or trackball or replace entire unit
    2. If moisture is not suspected to be a factor then perform a backup followed by a clean install of OS
         a. Backup your files using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore
         b. Do a clean reinstall OS using Desktop Manager Application Loader
             i. The OS installation process is dicey  and takes a little patience and focus-- you have to wait for the Desktop Manager to properly recognize the device before it can proceed on some of the steps and it may take several iterations to get completely through the process and get the "successful installation" message.
             ii. Further, you may need to keep the battery removed during the initial steps in the process and only insert it when the process gets to the point of actually trying to copy files into the BB memory
                * The BB LCD will display an icon that looks like a battery with a slash through it letting you know the process cannot proceed until a battery is inserted and the Desktop Manager Application Loader will also give you an error indicating it cannot find the device.
                * After inserting the battery, it will take a few seconds or more for the computer to recognize the USB device and for Desktop Manager to respond with the BB password pop-up window.
                * After typing in your BB password, the installation should continue.
        c. If you can get the OS successfully reloaded and your keyboard/trackball/buttons work -- great -- now restore your files and settings using Desktop Manager Backup and Restore and get on with your life.
        d. If this does NOT work after multiple successful clean OS installations apparently you are completely hosed; the only other option is to get it to the shop for repair or replacement.
    1.. Does anyone have a troubleshooting procedures that will identify whether moisture is the root cause or not?
    2. Is there another corrective procedure that's been missed?

    Took  BB to Sprint Store and technician took it apart, saw no evidence of moisture or any other damage, and concluded that the keyboard had failed. Not an uncommon occurance.
    Also, he told me you cannot simply replace the keyboard, it is integral to the systemboard, so you need to replace the entire device.
    He did commend the troubleshooting approach used prior to going to the store -- most folks won't take the time to do even basic troubleshooting (like taking out the battery), they just go to the store and say "fix it please". He confirmed that the steps outlined in the initial post were correct and did not have any other solutions.
    Take away:
    If you want to do some troubleshooting yourself to check for moisture, the process was pretty straightforward. After watching the technician, most folks with a little technical or mechanical aptitude should be able to manage the dismantling process. You just need a small phillips head screwdriver and a little patience. Good lighting and a magnifying glass or reading glasses also help!

  • Sending email with Entourage worked, but Apple Mail fails

    I want to migrate from Entourage to Apple Mail. However sending emails using the smtp of my hosted website, fails every time.
    I use the same SMTP settings as configured in Entourage, but the connection manager cannot connect to these smtp servers.
    When I setup a gmail account, these smtp settings do work, so this is a strange problem.
    In the SMTP configuration I have indicated that no SSL must be used and authentication is by Username/Password. Also the default port must be used, so this should be easy.
    Does anyone recognise this problem and help me out?
    Thanks in advance.

    23circles:
    I would like to find a way to only have the gmail inbox but still send from any three of her accounts.
    You can do it this way:
    Set up only one account. The one from which you want to receive mail.
    In Mail > Preferences > Accounts > +gmail acct+ > Email Address insert the other email addresses, separating each with a comma and single space.
    Only the GMail account will receive incoming Mail. However, when you want to send from another address, in the From dropdown menu toggle the address from which you wish to send mail.
    You will, of course, delete the other accounts you have created to avoid getting incoming messages.
