IRONPORT ALIAS .TXT FILE NOT IN BOTH CLUSTERS

I have a .txt for email redirection (alias - import/export) which appear only within one cluster, the other cluster is without alias .txt at all.  Is it neccesary for the alias to be contained within both.  Could someone provide answer or direct me to website which contains the info.

To apply an Exported Alias file to another ESA (or a cluster of ESAs), you must Import that data to the other ESA or Cluster.  First you must upload the file to the ESA that will be Importing the data.  The upload is done via SCP (preferred for security) or FTP and the file must exist in the directory called 'configuration'.
Once the file is uploaded, you can do the Import from the CLI using these steps:
x1070r01.csw> aliasconfig
No aliases in table.
Choose the operation you want to perform:
- NEW - Create a new entry.
- IMPORT - Import aliases from a file.
[]> import
Enter the name of the file on machine "x1070r01.csw" to import:
[]> exported_file.txt
Once all the data is Imported, it will take effect upon 'commit'.

  • Why is a .txt file not visible on iPod Classic in its entirety once the iPod is disconnected from the desktop?

    I have enabled my iPod Classic for disc use; and previously successfully transferred .txt files.  The latest .txt file is fully visible on the iPod while the iPod is connected to the desktop, but once the iPod is disconnected only about 20% is visible.  It is as though the wheel will rotate no further to reveal the rest.  There is masses of free space on the iPod.

    Only the first 4000 characters of a longer note will appear from the device itself.

  • Photo attachment is .txt file not .jpg

    When I send a photo from iphone to yahoo or gmail address, the photo is imbedded in the email but the attachment is not a jpg file, it is a 3kb .txt file when opened says "sent from my iphone". When I right click on the imbedded photo, I cannot save this as a jpg file. This is happening recently, it never happened before. I asked Yahoo and they said it was something to do with Apple, not Yahoo. So frustrating, can someone please help me??????

    Photo Stream only uses the file name, not the title. The title only exist in iPhoto.  To get the title to be used in Photo Stream once must export the file out of iPhoto via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu with the option File Name - User Title option.  Then import the new photos and add them to the Photo Stream.

  • Marker txt file not imported

    According to Apple Pro Trainings Series Book on DVDSP4, pages 80-81, I tried to import a list of chapter markers in a txt file (made in BBEdit, utf-8, tabs between timecode and chapter name):
    00:00:00:00 Chapter 1
    00:10:00:00 Chapter 2
    00:20:00:00 Chapter 3
    02:50:00:00 Chapter 18
    Importing this in DVDSP gives the error message:
    0 markers imported.
    18 markers omitted. Tracks can have only 99 chapter markers and 255 total markers.
    What I am doing wrong here? I really thought I am adhering to the recipe in the book.

    Some further research reveals the problem is related to the timecode base of the video track. If the time codes in the chapter list are higher in value than the start of the track, they can be imported.
    Another strange thing however seems to happen: I have a problem relating the time codes in DVDPS to that of the original video track. For example, the video stream in the original Transport Stream (from which the m2v video track was demuxed) has as first time code 21:52:29:20 whereas DVDPS starts it at 20:16:51:17. What happens here? I would be pleased if I could derive the time codes for a series of chapter marks directly from the extraction of the subtitles from the transport stream.

  • Notes & .txt files

    I have an annoying issue with both Pages and Textedit. Both applications don't have an option to save a file as a simple text file or .txt. The best Textedit can do is rtf and if I just change the suffix I get all the rich text information that I don't want and my Nano can't read.
    the 5th gen. nano manual states .txt files when none of my text applications can save in that format. Thus anything I put in my notes folder is terribly confusing with all that nonsense useless information that the iPod can't use. Any ideas or workarounds would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the response. I looked at it and it was useful where they suggest to make plain text in Textedit, but I have already found another solution myself. You do what you need in Pages then export as a text file and this works too. Now I am trying to find out what is the largest font size I can use in these notes. That latter piece of information still eludes me.

  • Clustered.txt file is found in Master instead of Slave

    Hello,
    I have clustered my both author instances installed on different machines with shared nothing and I see that in the OSGi console under jmx, its showing as expected the MasterID and the members perfectly. But I see the clustered.txt file in the Master machine rather than in the slave machine. To, confirm on this i again reinstalled and did cluster configuration taking the earlier Master as slave and slave as master. But still the same behaviour, the Master machine got the clustered.txt.
    Anyone has any idea on this??

    Hello,
    this is the expected behaviour (see http://dev.day.com/docs/en/crx/current/administering/cluster.html#Automatic%20Out-Of-Sync% 20Prevention). The "clustered.txt" will be created on the master, as soon as the first slave joins the cluster. It will be automatically deleted, when the last slave leaves the cluster. If you have a "clustered.txt" in the master's repository while no slave is active, then it points to a problem (usually with the slave instances). But in your case everything seems to work as it should.

    I have a VI and an attched .txt data file. Now I want to read the data from the .txt file and display it as an array in the front panel. But the result is not right. Any help?
    Attachments:
    try2.txt ‏2 KB
    read_array.vi ‏21 KB

    The problem is in the delimiters in your text file. By default, Read From Spreadsheet File.vi expects a tab delimited file. You can specify a delimiter (like a space), but Read From Spreadsheet File.vi has a problem with repeated delimiters: if you specify a single space as a delimiter and Read From Spreadsheet File.vi finds two spaces back-to-back, it stops reading that line. Your file (as I got it from your earlier post) is delimited by 4 spaces.
    Here are some of your choices to fix your problem.
    1. Change the source file to a tab delimited file. Your VI will then run as is.
    2. Change the source file to be delimited by a single space (rather than 4), then wire a string constant containing one space to the delimiter input of Read From Spreadsheet File.vi.
    3. Wire a string constant containing 4 spaces to the delimiter input of Read From Spreadsheet File.vi. Then your text file will run as is.
    Depending on where your text file comes from (see more comments below), I'd vote for choice 1: a tab delimited text file. It's the most common text output of spreadsheet programs.
    Comments for choices 1 and 2: Where does the text file come from? Is it automatically generated or manually generated? Will it be generated multiple times or just once? If it's manually generated or generated just once, you can use any text editor to change 4 spaces to a tab or to a single space. Note: if you want to change it to a tab delimited file, you can't enter a tab directly into a box in the search & replace dialog of many programs like notepad, but you can do a cut and paste. Before you start your search and replace (just in the text window of the editor), press tab. A tab character will be entered. Press Shift-LeftArrow (not Backspace) to highlight the tab character. Press Ctrl-X to cut the tab character. Start your search and replace (Ctrl-H in notepad in Windows 2000). Click into the Find What box. Enter four spaces. Click into the Replace With box. Press Ctrl-V to paste the tab character. And another thing: older versions of notepad don't have search and replace. Use any editor or word processor that does.

  • Reading .txt file into char array, file not found error. (Basic IO)

    Iv been having some trouble with reading characters from a text file into a char array. I havnt been learning io for very long but i think im getting the hang of it. Reading and writing raw bytes
    and things like that. But i wanted to try using java.io.FileReader to read characters for a change and im having problems with file not found errors. here is the code.
    try
    File theFile = new File("Mr.DocumentReadMe.txt");
    String path = theFile.getCanonicalPath();
    FileReader readMe = new FileReader(path);
    char buffer[] = new char[(int)theFile.length()];
    int readData = 0;
    while(readData != -1)
    readData = readMe.read(buffer);
    jEditorPane1.setText(String.valueOf(buffer));
    catch(Exception e)
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, e,
    "Error!", JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
    The error is: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Kaylan\Documents\NetBeansProjects\Mr.Document\dist\Mr.DocumentReadMe.txt (The system cannot find the file specified)
    The text file is saved in the projects dist folder. I have tried saving it elsewhere and get the same error with a different pathname.
    I can use JFileChooser to get a file and read it into a char array with no problem, why doesnt it work when i specify the path manually in the code?

    Well the file clearly isn't there. Maybe it has a .txt.txt extensionthat Windows is kindly hiding from you - check its Properties.
    But:
    String path = theFile.getCanonicalPath();
    FileReader readMe = new FileReader(path);You don't need all that. Just:
    FileReader readMe = new FileReader(theFile);And:
    char buffer[] = new char[(int)theFile.length()];You don't need a buffer the size of the file, this is bad practice. Use 8192 or whatever.
    while(readData != -1)
    readData = readMe.read(buffer);
    }That doesn't make sense. Read the data into the buffer and repeat until you get EOF? and do nothing with the contents of the buffer? The canonical read loop in Java goes like this:
    while ((count = in.read(buffer)) > 0)
      out.write(buffer, 0, count); // or do something else with buffer[0..count-1].
    jEditorPane1.setText(String.valueOf(buffer));Bzzt. That won't give you the content of 'buffer'. Use new String(buffer, 0, count) at least.

  • When I try to run a FindChangeByList.jsx in InDesignCS4, it will not let me select a txt file

    Hi all,
    I have a 100 page document that uses two javascript FindChange queries to cleanup an imported XML file. I've been using the same cleanup files for years and they have worked just fine. (I still only open it in CS4 because I've had some issues when trying to use this XML/Find-Change combo in CS5 and 6.) The only difference is my computer has been upgraded, the apps reinstalled, and I am now running 10.9.5
    I can import the XML just fine into my template, but when I double click on FindChangeByList.jsx, select Document, hit OK, nothing happens. I do not get a second dialog box asking me to choose my txt cleanup file.
    I only run this job once a year, so it's possible I am doing something wrong. I've place copies of my txt files in as many scripts folders as I can find on my computer, but they are greyed out in the FIndChange Support folder within InDesign.
    Please help, this is the only way to fix this XML!

    Hi,
    2 things:
    1. Assuming your script is original - it is not asking for a TXT file till it is found in expected location. You can choose between 2 solutions:
         to remove FindChangeList.txt from FindChangeSupport folder ==> script will ask for another file
         to override this file by your query ==> script will not ask but execute your query
    2. You can see greyed TXT files in Script Panel since this panel shows executable files (script's formats)
