It looks like the system is corrupted. How i can start Ironport for "factory settings"... as same that it was when i bougt it.
Thanks for help

Had a few customers that have had this same problem. Something to do with the database/config getting corrupted because the unit was power cycled before the update was complete.
The way we fixed it was to get Ironport engineers to log in via a tunnel and revert the system to the previous image.
System came back up; got the customer to upgrade the unit via the CLI so they could check the status of the upgrade and give it plenty of time to reboot and come back up.

  • File system corrupted *after* it was unmounted

    Hi all,
I'd be interested in any opinions on this problem.
I recently bought a 1TB Samsung Story Station 3 usb hard drive for use with Time Machine.
This model of drive has a power switch on the front. Most of the time I don't need hourly backups so my plan is to leave the drive turned off most of the time and only turn it on when I feel the need for automatic hourly backups.
A beautiful setup... except... The file system keeps getting corrupted and it is not always repairable.
    What is happening?
My procedure is to eject the disk then switch off the drive.
About half the time an immediate disk verify will report that the disk requires repair.
I have tried variations of this with very similar results. Here is a typical failure scenario:-
1 - Start Time Machine "Back Up Now"
2 - Let it copy some data then stop the backup (if necessary)
    3 - Eject the disk
4 - Switch off the drive
5 - Switch on the drive
    6 - Verify
    Variations on the theme...
I have tried the drive with and without a bootable image restored to it and therefore with and without journalling on the file system (I believe).
1, 2 - I have tried copying data using finder instead of using time machine.
3 - I have tried umount -f and diskutil unmount
Note that umount without -f reports the drive is busy but other ejection/unmount mechanisms work.
    Is this related?
The only thing that may have made a difference is that powering down the mac, instead of just the drive, after ejection has not yet resulted in a damaged file system.
The obvious conclusion to draw is that a buffer somewhere is not being flushed before I turn off the drive, but is this buffer in OS X or in the drive itself?
In either case I assume other people are having the same problem.
For now I will just leave the drive turned on all the time. Maybe this is what everyone else does so nobody else has sees the problem.

I need help with my MP3 Player. This is the second one I have bought and it keeps going to 'File System Corrupted'. Its an RCA MP3 Player. Holds 5GB's. My first one lasted about 6 months and this one only 3 months. I don't drop it. Like maybe once, but on a soft floor and its never been thrown or beaten on. No marks on it from being dropped or hit on anything. Also I can't get it to respond to my computer. I plug it in and says, 'File System Corrupted'. There needs to be like a way to fix it. Other wise the people who built it are getting money easily with a device that works only a short limited amount of time. I've pressed my power button and held it for 0 seconds. Nothing happens. I'm really annoyed with this device. I've waited much money on it. Is there at all a way to fix it. ~Dark Warrior~

  • CC configuration causes freezing and file system corruption

I have received no response for:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/6074118
It is a major issue, can I file an issue/fix request somehow?
Basically it appears that the default configuration when installing the complete product suite causes the OS (OSX Mavericks) to freeze unpredictably and render the system unusable unless shut down and rebooted. This may result in file system corruption and data loss requiring complete reinstall of OS and all products.
Some have mentioned 'drive' is causing this, but I am not familiar with that component and do not see any options to remove or disable such a product in CC.
I do not want any non-essential add-ons (like Bridge?) - just a reliable production configuration so I can get work done.
The risk of having the system 'locked up' or file system corrupted is unacceptable.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Ironport c150 and c170

    Hello All,
i have IronPort c150. I wanted to load configuration from C150 to C170 but it shows me an error
The reason i guess is from different AsyncOs versions:
    C150 - 7.6.3; C170 - 8.0.1.
When i check for upgrade on C150 there is none.
My question is can i downgrade C170 or upgrade C150 so versions to match? Or maybe some other workaround to load the configuration. It is too complicated to do configuration manually.

    Vasil -
The appliance must have matching AsyncOS revisions in order to migrate the C150 to the C170.
If your C170 is already running 8.0.1 - you can run 'revert' to get it back to the previous OS revision.  The C150 is EOL, and is not elgible for 8.x.  So - you'll need to get matching 7.6.3 revisions, most likely.
But - both have to be running similar ---> C150/7.6.3-019 vs. C170/7.6.3-019
If you need full/further assistance - please open a support/TAC case - and we'll be able to advise the full paths, best practices.
    Hope this helps!

  • Re: Nokia 9300 System Corrupted message

I am receiving a system corrupted message from my Nokia 9300 phone. I have backed up the device . How can I delete the entire phone contents and reinstall.

Unfortunately this is something you cannot do on your own, you will need to take the device into a Nokia Repair Centre to hav them re-flash the phone and reload it with the latest software.
Be sure that your backed up contents were not the cause of the problem as if they were when you restore them your phone will be back to square one.

  • 9300 System Corrupted (Message)

Just taken delivery of a new 9300, everything working fine except when I try to use Messaging/Web or Calender. All i'm getting is the message "System Corrupted". Tried the re-formatting procedure but still the same fault. Any other ideas on solving this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried calling the Nokia support team they are usualy very helpful when you have got through to the Tec support.

  • 9300 - "System Corrupted"

Last week, I got myself a 9300 Communicator. However, I have failed to access Messaging, Web & Calendar. I keep on getting the message "Note System: Corrupted"
What should I do??? Please help!

Have you tried calling the Nokia support team they are usualy very helpful when you have got through to the Tec support.

  • System corrupted 9300

just upgraded to 9300 and when i press the calender, web or messaging key all i get is NOTE: System corrupted.
If the system is corrupted how can i reset to factory defaults.
    Can anybody out there help
    Cheers

You would have to format the handset.
Take the battery out and put it back in then before the NOKIA logo is displayed pres these buttons CNTRL + SHIFT + CHR + F simultaneously, keep holding till a black screen with format on the right handside appears then select Format.
PS- U will loose all data so best sync your calendar and contacts and copy other data via File manager. Doing a backup and rstoring it might repeat the same corrupt system.

  • Operating system corrupted, wont boot. Any way to get admin rights in cmd prompt?

My operating system has gotten totally corrupted and no longer boots. I get a recovery screen that tells me my registry is corrupted. File: \Windows\system32\config\system, Error code 0xc000014c. I have no recovery media (my computer, a refurb, did not com with any) I want to wipe the hard drive totally clean and do a fresh clean install. I can get to the command prompt through the system recovery by hitting esc at boot up but it wont allow me to reformat the hard drive because of write protections. I tried turning off the write protections at the cmd prompt level but it fails because I cant access it with admin rights. The only way I have found to turn on admin rights for the cmd prompt in online searches is to do it from inside the win8 operating system. Obviously I cannot do that as the OS is too corrupted to be run. Is there any command I can use at the dos prompt that will turn on admin rights? Or better yet just some way to force a total reformat?
    Thanks!

Are you following this? No need for command prompt. Just choose Recovery Manager.

  • HELP!! File system corrupted

    Hi,
I got the filesystem on my LaCie Biggest Quadra 4 Tb external RAID disk suddenly corrupted and the system doesn't recognize the disk anymore, but the RAID controller does not complain about disk errors. Shortly, what happened:
    - the disk is my Time Maschine disk
    - I had a simulation code running over night writing output on that disk, too
    - the disk was nearly full (2 Gb free)
    - I found my code hanging and access to that disk rather slow, but I continued working without using that disk much
    - I did the 10.5.3 update and rebooted the machine
    - after boot the machine complained that the external disk is not recognized
(BTW: I don't think the upgrade was the problem. I cannot see the disk even from my laptop which I didn't upgrade yet!)
Disk utility does see the disk as a general volume, the original volume is not recognized. With disk utility I could only initialize the disk, so no chance to repair. "Data rescue" sees the volume with it's name, I haven't tried yet to see if it would recover files from that. So, now my question for the gurus over the net:
    - is there any other option to repair the filesystem, I don't think I have an issue with the disk itself, as the RAID controller should complain about that.
    - if the only option is to recover the files to a different disk, does it make a sense to recover the time machine file structure? That structure is overfilled with hard links that I don't believe will get recovered correctly. Is there a chance to make recovered or copied time machine backups work again on a different disk?
    - how could it come that the fs got corrupted such that the disk isn't recognized anymore as a HFS+ volume?
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Thomas

Just in case someone else gets to this topic:
I found out that the partition table got corrupted. No plan how that happened, the RAID seems ok. I was able to adjust that problem with a free program called testdisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk). After that the volume mounted again. Disk utility found problems on the filesystem which I repaired. I have a 50 Gbyte image of my powerbook disk on that filesystem which mounts if I skip verification, but fails verification. So, the filesystem got really corrupted, but at least I could mount it again and save the possible.

  • Oracle vm 3.1.1 server pool file system corruption

    Hi
I have a small lab environment composed by 2 Oracle VM Servers and SAN access.
This morning somehow the OCFS2 Server Pool File System (the 12GB one) corrupted and the Server Pool seems dead. How can I recover from this error? I looked in the documentation and MOS but found nothing
    Thank you

I know it would be a lot of work in such a scenerio. I don't know what you're using for storage but you could snapshot or replicate the pool storage to create a backup that can be restored.
I do wish they would let you select more than one VM guest in the VM Manager. Would be really nice to have such. Seems like it would be a rather easy feature to implement.

  • Cisco Ironport ESA System setup wizard

    Hi all,
i'm installing a Cisco ESA. I configured IP of Data1 and Management and Hostname with temporary data to enable feature keys.
Now i have to migrate those parameter to final configuration except management. IF i run again the system setup wizard does it blow up
    the features installed and activated?
    Thanks
    smaikol

If you re-run systemsetup again from the CLI - it will reset the IP and listeners you have configured, along with the network information associated.  You are presented the warning message from the CLI:
WARNING: The system setup wizard will completely delete any existing 'listeners' and all associated settings including the 'Host Access Table'
    - mail operations may be interrupted.
    </warning>
The features themselves are still present and licensed, and should not change.  During the setup wizard prompts - you are asked if you want to use and enable the features - such as Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus:
Do you want to use Anti-Spam scanning in the default Incoming Mail policy? [Y]>
Would you like to enable the Spam Quarantine? [Y]>
    1. IronPort Anti-Spam
    2. Intelligent Multi-Scan
    3. Cloudmark Service Provider Edition
Enter the number of the Anti-Spam engine you would like to use on the default Incoming Mail policy.
    []> 1
    IronPort selected for DEFAULT policy
Do you want to use Anti-Virus scanning in the default Incoming and Outgoing Mail policies? [Y]>
    1. McAfee Anti-Virus
    2. Sophos Anti-Virus
Enter the number of the Anti-Virus engine you would like to use on the default Incoming and Outgoing Mail policies.
    []> 2
    Sophos selected for DEFAULT policy
Do you want to use Anti-Malware scanning in the default Incoming Mail policies? [Y]>
Advanced Malware Protection selected for DEFAULT policy
Do you want to enable Outbreak Filters? [Y]>
    Outbreak Filters enabled.
Allow the sharing of limited data with SenderBase? [Y]>
You have successfully configured Outbreak Filters and SenderBase.
    </setup>
Usually, it is just simpler if you are re-IPing the ESA from a temporary IP to permanent IP to just change the information associated via ifconfig and modify the interface as needed, or on the GUI use Network > IP Interfaces.

  • Help - odd file system corruption.

I have something very worrying going on on my system. The contents of an important folder is being listed differently in 3rd party applications vs the Finder. Apps which use a non-OS file browser cannot see the up to date contents (its an important project I'm currently working on), instead they only list folders from months ago which are now long gone and don't show the current true contents at all. Eg Cinema 4D's Content Browser can't see the current files correctly, but it can just fine via the OS Open/Save dialog.
Even worse is that Chrono Sync has exactly the same problem. When it syncs it correctly lists some of the current files that I'm working on, but in the Anylise section, manually drilling down to my working project folder again shows the incorrect contents!
I have copied the directories to a new HD but even THEY show the same errors when not viewing the contents directly with Lion file browsers***
I can remember once when I first saw this in Cinema 4D I immediately checked in the Finder - and the Finder showed the wrong contents too !- I refreshed the Finder window by clicking a different folder and back to the working directory which then updated before my eyes to the correct contents.
How can I fix this? It seems like there is an immenent serious corruption about to happen to my files and/or disk. Disk Utility shows no errors, nothing to repair. Can/should I use Diskwarrior or some other repair app. Help!
(***I just remembered that I used CCC in block level copy mode so this might account for why the corruption has been transferred to the new drive. I am copying the working directory to the new disk using drag nd drop in the Finder to see if that helps. However I still need the underlying corruption in my User folder repaired)

Yes, I have quite a comprehensive backup strategy in place (involving a Drobo for nightly CCC backups, a CCC nightly bootable disk clone and TM for hourly backups). The Block Copy is for the bootable disk. The nightly Drobo backups are done with vanila CCC file copying,
Disk Util does not find any problems, neither did Disk Warrior. SMART is all OK.
However as I said, the problem is present on one of the backups as well which has put the integrity of the rest of my backups in doubt. also I have tried a direct Finder copy to a new drive (instead of CCC block copy) but the problem persisted.
I have however come up with a temporary fix: I moved the current folder to the trash, navigated to the parent directory using Cinema 4D's Content Browser wherein it 'saw' the ancient folder once again. This errant folder was now also visible in the Finder since the original folder (which has the same name) was now in the trash. I renamed it and moved it to the trash too. Then put the original folder from the trash back into its parent directory and emptied the trash removing the errent folder for good. It seems that did the trick of updating whatever caches or databases were broken and all my apps can correctly see the correct folder and its contents again.
This 'historical' version of the folder was being linked to by 3rd party file browsers I think because in the past it had the same name in the same location as the current folder. Where and how the OS got confused is still a mystery. Does it keep different file system records for the finder vs other apps?
I am not 100% convinced this is a true solution though as there may well be a deeper problem afoot.
I would like to see some kind of error/fixed message from Disk Util just so I know the OS is on top of this problem. As it stands my Mac thinks everythin is A-OK.

  • Ironport C150 Mystery Shutdown

    Hi,
Our C150 running 6.4.0-273 switched off on its own today, and we have no idea why. When we switched it back on again, it worked fine and so far no problems. It's been running perfectly normal for a long time (many months) and we've never had this problem before.
Is there a logfile we can check somewhere that could indicate the cause of the shutdown?
    Thanks.

Might this be caused by an incidenticaly pressing of the power button on the appliance?
    Customer support said that:
After looking through your support request and looking through the system via remote access, the only thing we found was a process that locked up and caused the reboot. This should not happen often at all. Please keep an eye on the system and let us know if it reboots unexpectedly again.
I emailed them back saying that whatever did it caused a shutdown and not a reboot, and asking if that is normal.
