Business class email ! NOT

As a business owner having access to my email when I'm out of the office is vital. I recently moved from an iPhone 3G to the Bold 9700, for some time I've been under the impression that BB are the number one for business handsets. However having now owned one for a few months I must say I am completely disappointed with it's email abilities, the read/not read issue is absolutely shocking, I receive a high number of emails every day and read most of them on a computer, I then have to wade through all those emails again on the BB so I can see what's been read from what hasn't.
I believe there is a workaround that lets you not receive emails that you've read on another device, this is no good for me, I need to have access to all of my emails. This brings me onto anther shockingly bad issue, BB will not allow you to view emails that were sent to you before you set-up the email on the handset. The whole point of using IMAP is that the emails stay on the server and your email client gives you a view of the emails on said server (ALL OF THEM).
As stated previously, I need access to all my emails and can do so on every other device I use. My old iPhone and android handsets have no problem in either of the two areas I have raised here. How can anyone claim that BB have the best business/email handsets when there are such massive holes in the technology they supply. From the conversations I've had with my provider and the comments I've read on the web, it seems that there is no plan to fix either of these two major flaws which leaves me with no other option, but to look for a handset that provides proper business class email. It's a shame because I really like the BB 9700 as a handset, I hate wasting money and that's exactly how I feel about my BB purchase.

Business class email client for mac ?

Does anyone know a good email application to handle a very head load of email (400+ messages a day).
Mail.app is nice and does most things ok, but is very limiting when it comes to rules, filtering etc.

Your definition of "business class" is a bit vague. What exactly are you looking for in Mail that other mail clients have? Since Mail is based on NeXTSTEP Mail, it's a very good email client and was used back in those days at various corporations and universities with far heavier email volume than what you've described you need.

I use email on my phone om a daily basis.
The Major problem with the webos is that while its email works well to read emails. I have to wait until i get back to the office to do nearly 90% of my work.
When I fwd an email i cannot answer inline the questions posed.
and hitting reply and changing email address drops any attachments so that does not work either.
for a true business class email on a phone i need functionality that will let me fully edit body of the email not just header info.
No reason to keep users hands tied with a sub standard email client.
Please update ASAP.

In addition to these issues, another huge bug is that the font size on emails sent from the phone through EAS is 12pt verdana, which looks really unprofessional. And the formatting for replies and forwards isn't the same. I don't understand why they can't add a feature to either let the user specify a default font and size, or at least set it to something commonly used in the business world (say 10pt arial). I end up using the pre to read e-mails and then waiting until I'm in front of a computer to respond, which is kind of a productivity problem (I'm falling behind on emails, etc.) Kind of defeats the purpose of having a "business smartphone". I've left feedback and complained about this in other threads... I use the phone about 90% for business and at this point I'm frustrated enough that I'm ready to dump the Pre if this doesn't get fixed in the next release.

Why do Mac users have to pay for iCloud's photostream yet windows users get it free?

Hi. I have an iPhone 4S as well as a MacBook pro upgraded to Lion, yet my iPhoto still runs from iLife 09. Windows users can use the photo stream feature for free by downloading the iCloud control panel, and yet I have to pay to upgrade my iPhoto to the latest version just to use photo stream despite the fact I already payed for a £600 phone, a £1000 2010 MacBook pro and a further £20 for Lion? I'm not having that. Especially when windows users get it free anyway. How can I get the iCloud windows toolbar/panel on my mac? Or how do I get photo stream without upgrading to the new iPhoto?

cost of iphoto upgrade is a lot less than the cost of windows vista or windows 7 operating systems.
but if you had to have it without upgrading lion or iphoto, get windows on your mac's bootcamp and then you can get the control panel for free.
but all else aside, offering apple content on windows is a means to entice users to purchase other mac products. Don't forget apple is a business designed to sell products. Do you get mad at burger king when you purchase a burger and they expect you to pay extra money for fries and a drink?

I have found that both Linux and Mac (unix) are capable of reading "deep" folders while win 32 will have issues, your it people are clearly wrong. I run a network with both win/mac. And as long as the win servers/pc's that have shares are set to allow apple file sharing in their folder properties. And the macs are set to allow smb there should absolutely no trouble with you accessing anything across the platforms, heck, from a Mac to a win pc on some occasions you don't even need to include a "domain" name to log on to, and you can create aliases and make your own shortcuts etc... So you don't have to manually connect each time you boot up etc... But that's all personal preferences I suppose.
All I can tell you is that, I do it on a daily basis managing a small business. So your answer is yes you can.

So, you’ve purchased your Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) membership and now you think you should get some coupons as well? Well fortunately, you are absolutely correct that you should and I’m sorry to hear that you don’t have them.
Generally you should receive an email with Welcome Packet coupons about 3-5 business days from when you activated your membership. It looks like that was on 3/14/15, so you should have them by now. Are you saying you got a Welcome Packet, but there was no coupon for the Buy 2, get 1 free on used games? Or did you not get a Welcome Packet at all?
If you did not get a Welcome Packet, please make sure to check your Spam/Junk mail folder along with any Promotions folder (like Gmail uses) to see if the email was forwarded there first. If you are still not seeing it, please post here to let me know and we can see what options are available to help you out.

Buy one get one free

Hi there,
With business catalyst's ecommerce, how would I go about offering a buy one get one free deal?
Basically, when a customer buys any product from our store, we want them to receive another of this same item free. This will apply to every product in the store.
Ideally we would like this to show on the invoice and on the checkout, and anywhere else appropriate.

There might be a better way but one suggetsion you could add the second free product as an attribute to the first, it wouldn't show up as a separate line item in the order but the information would be there with the first item and on the invoice as an attribute. You would hardcode the attribute selection in your HTML or with javascript so that it automatically selected the "free option attribute" when you added to your cart so you wouldn't have to get the user to select the option.

First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.

IPod Touch 64GB activated October 2013 - how do I get the free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps?

I purchased (from an authorised seller - Dixons Duty Free, Heathrow) and activated an iPod Touch 64GB on 18th October 2013 (prior to the announcement of free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps but after the 1st Sepember 2013 date in their conditions). It had iOS6 preinstalled. I've updated to iOS7. How do I get the free iLife, iPhoto and iMovie apps? The App Store is trying to charge me for theese.

If your iOS device was activated for the first time after September 1, go to the App Storeon your iPod which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.

How to set up 'buy one get one free' modifier in Advanced Pricing?

I am able to setup a promotional goods modifier and give the quantity of the promotional item as 1 and discount as 100%, but this works only of the quantity ordered for the primary item is 1. If the ordered quantity is 'n' (say 10), then the discount becomes 'buy n (10) get one free'.
Does anyone know a solution to this?

Photos and/or videos in your iPhone's Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer. If you aren't doing this and don't do this with your iPhone 4 that is being exchanged and you set up your replacement iPhone 4 as a new iPhone, your contacts will be lost.
With Windows, this can be with Outlook 2003 0r 2007 along with syncing calendar events, or with the address book application used by Outlook Express with XP, or with Windows Mail under Vista and Windows 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
If you don't use Windows Contacts for storing contacts on your computer - the address book is empty, before the first sync for this data enter one contact in Windows Contacts. Make this contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. Do this with your existing iPhone 4.
When you first connect your replacement iPhone 4 to iTunes and select set up as a new iPhone, select sync contacts with Windows Contacts under the Info tab for the iPhone sync preferences. With the first sync, all contacts in Windows Contacts will be transferred to your iPhone and will be kept synced with Windows Contacts with future syncs.
