Is 10.2.0.3 is certified with oracle apps 11.5.10.2

Hi,
Is 10.2.0.3 is certified with 11.5.10.2....
One more thing...
During upgrade of 11.5.10.2 Database to 10g R2...
Do we require 10g Release 2 Companion CD, if it is why it is required...with out this..cant we upgrade....
Please give advice
following are the components from Oracle Companion CD...
======================================================
we are not going to implement these
JPublisher
Oracle Database Examples (formerly Oracle Demos)
Oracle JVM
Oracle interMedia
Oracle Text Supplied Knowledge Bases
Oracle Ultra Search
Oracle HTTP Server
Oracle HTML DB
Oracle Workflow server and middle-tier components
==================================
Is the above things compulsory required to upgrade to 10g..

Yes 10.2.0.3 is certified for 11.5.10.2
Follow the latest 10gR2/11i Interoperability Notes (362203.1)
Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2.0)
http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/showdoc?db=NOT&id=362203.1
You need to install the companion CD. 8i/9i delivered Intermedia and the JVM by default, and in 10g those products are contained on the companion CD. Your upgrade will fail if those components are not installed in the 10gR2 Oracle Home. You do not need to install the Oracle HTTP Server or HTML DB.

I do see Oracle Application Server Single Signon 10.1.4.3.0 listed on the certification matrix for R12.1.3 , however when I click on the OAS, it does not list SLES 11 , it only lists SLES10

  • Integrating mod_plsql reports with Oracle Apps. A maddening dilemma.

I'm hoping there is some guru out there that has the perfect solution to this maddening dilemma I'm facing.
The crux of the issue is this.
I've created mod_plsql reports that can accept a session_id with which they can set a user context based on global application contexts set in Oracle applications by users as they log in.
At this juncture, I have not figured out a way to call those mod_plsql reports from Oracle apps using a variable session_id as defined for the user when they logged into apps.
My client want to be able to log into Oracle apps and then go to the mod_plsql reports from the Oracle Apps menu and maintain the user session, so that the mod_plsql reports are run using VPD to constrain access to the data they are displaying to that specific user.
The client does not have Single Sign On installed nor OID.
I had hoped to pass a variable parameter session_id from the defined menu function that would call the mod_plsql url, but I don't see any way to pass a variable there and am becoming convinced that doing so is not an option. Can anyone confirm this?
An alternate option I'm considering that seems like it would work is to create a JSP page that gets called from a menu function. In that JSP page, I would retrieve the session_id set in apps based on the context for the user_id that I could retrieve from fnd_global.user_id and assemble a URL with the session_id that the page would then re-route to the mod_plsql page.
Unfortunately, I'm not versed in JSP.
How hard would it be to create the sort of page that I'm talking about?
Would the JSP need to part of OAF?
Can anyone think of any other options that would take care of the issue I'm dealing with?
    Thanks.
    Kurt

  • Oracle iPortal Integration with Oracle Apps 11i via SSO

How can we integrate Oracle iPortal with Oracle Apps 11i via SSO?
Is there any documentation on this topic that anybody could share ([email protected])? I have already searched the Portal Studio and the Metalink without much success.
Any suggestions and possible recommendations/solutions are highly appreciated! Thank you for answering this post!
    Best regards,
    Lina Danchenko
P.S. I am unable to view the note 146469.1 Configuring Oracle Applications with Oracle Portal on the Metalink. Any idea where I can find it? Thanks in advance!

In a future release, Oracle Apps will be integrated with SSO out of the box.
Currently there is a pilot program which several companies are participating in to beta-test this
integration, but this program is not open to additional customers.
Please speak with your Oracle sales representative to get a better idea of current options
    and general availability dates.
You do have the option now of just configuring Oracle Apps as an External Application.

  • BI with Oracle Apps, SET OF BOOKS

I am new to BI with Oracle Apps.
3 different companies are using same Oracle Apps system.
In BI workbooks how do I make sure correct SET OF BOOKS is selected for all the workbooks.
Currently Receipts Analysis workbook allows users to select organizations from all 3 companies.
Looks like I have missed some big configuration / security setting.
    Thanks in advance help

    Hi,
I don't think the Receipts Analysis workbook has any set of books security built in as standard. What folder/view is the workbook using?
If you are using a GL responsibility you can include selection of your set of books by importing the gl_security_pkg.login_sob_id function in the the Discoverer EUL and then adding a condition that selects the sob id using the sob id returned by the function.
    Hope that helps,
    Rod West
