IS 10.x Flash compatible with beta Firefox 4.x ?

Hello,
Would like to know if current flash engine is good to go with beta 4.x Firefox?  Not running the beta yet, using 3.6.9 and it still has an "
Potentially vulnerable plugins:" message always shows up in the browser for 3.6.9 for the Acrobat plugin no matter how many times I update it.  Figured trying the new browser would change things.  Just wanting to know if there are any issues before I spend the time.
Thank you,
John

Message is on main update for plug-ins results:
"Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape "9.3.3"" > Outdated version > Update
Crazy cause its the most recent rev.  I've done manual installs over current plugin and Adobe Download Manager and same issue.
Thanks,
John

  • Is Adobe Flash compatible with WinXP using `Dual Core CPUs ??

Is Adobe Flash compatible with WinXP using Dual Core CPUs ??
I have this in my current system
    WinXP 32bit SP3
    Asus M2N68-AM Plus motherboard
AMD X2 7850 Black Edition Dual Core CPU
    2GB DDR2
WD Caviar SE16 500GB SATA drive
    Onboard VGA **only**
I keep having consistent problems using this new motherboard with a Dual Core CPU
My new motherboard keeps crashing randomly while watching video online.
I can watch a video for about 2 min or even 20min and then the PC randomly crashes
I get this weird mosaic pattern on the screen whenever it crashes and then I have to press Reset to Reboot
And it **only** crashes after streaming a video on any of the websites, YouTube, CBS.com, NBC.com, Hulu.com etc, etc
My last PC never crashed while watching a video online - it was just slow since Adobe player is a hog -- and it was still a 1.8GHZ CPU !!
My last PC is still using version 10.1 for the Adobe Flash player -- and it ***never*** crashes
The most I ever see happen on that one is that the player might occasionly crash in the video window and the error message says to reload the Flash player.
Then I tried this remedy of disabling the Hardware Acceleration in the Adobe Settings  -- but no luck still.
I even downgraded to 10.1, then 10.0 and it still keeps getting these random crashes while watching video
I'm wondering if WinXP 32bit is really compatible with Adobe Flash when using a Dual Core CPU
Before I plunk down $100 for Win7, I'm thinking about trying Ubuntu and see what luck I have.
I haven't seem anything to the contrary yet.
    thanks,

What browser & version do you use?
How exactly does that "crash" manifest itself?  What exact error message are you getting?
Have you tried to update the device drivers for your graphics/video/display adapter?

pls give me a clue, so I can search the add ons that compatible with my earlier firefox

Correct the spelling of search on your link to
    :https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/advancedsearch
:and it would appear that the search would work, use the little dropdown underneath the big green arrow to actually pull up the advanced search you asked for, and it appears to work, I didn't actually bring up any of the results.

  • How to find out if my add-ons are compatible with new firefox version before i install?

Is there a way to discover whether any of my current add-ons will be disabled/incompatible *Before* I upgrade to a newer version of Firefox?
Whenever I've updated Firefox, I haven't found out until After the new version is installed that my favorite 'must-have' add-on is incompatible and there is no viable/satisfactory alternative to it. The loss of Certain add-ons is, for me, a deal-breaker to upgrading. And it's a royal pain to downgrade to the previous version to retrieve my add-on.
    I don't know if addiction to particular add-on(s) is common - I figure I can't be the only one . . . ?
It would be So helpful if there were a database or list that shows which add-ons are/are not compatible with which versions of Firefox. Is there such a thing? If not, could one be created?
    Thanks for your help!

Firefox 9.0.1 is a real old version and is no longer supported - Firefox 24.0 is the current release version.
Open the Add-0ns manager tab and click on '''More''' for each extension that you have installed. Near the bottom of each "More" there should be a link that will take you to the download page where you can verify compatibility.
Or use this extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/is-it-compatible/ - but I'm not sure how well it will work when you are so many versions 'behind the curve'.

  • Is Extension Builder 2.1 using Flash compatible with Photoshop CC also in the future? (There are speculations, that it will be switched off, what will destroy my investment in that code)

I have codes a lot of stuff using Extension Builder 2.1 using Flash technology to be compatible with Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC.
There are speculations, that the support for this would be removed in Photoshop CC. This would destroy my investment in this code and my customers would not be able to use my products anymore, when they are using Photoshop CC.
Is there any workaround planed for customers using Photoshop CC to be able to run extension build with Extension Builder 2.1 and Flashbuilder 2.6 also in the future?

    Can you supply a link?

  • Is this compatible with Mozilla Firefox

Thinking of purchasing an iPad.  Is it comptatible with Mozilla Firefox?

Mozilla have not made an app version of Firefox, so no. The iPad comes with the Safari browser (though it's not as sophisticated as on a PC or Mac), and there are other browsers available in the iTunes App Store which are more powerful e.g. Atomic Web, iCab mobile, Opera etc

  • Anyone having trouble installing Flash Player with latest Firefox?

I can't get Flash Player to work on Firefox (Windows 8.1).  Works just fine in IE but when I try to add it as an add-on for Firefox it goes to manual install and then fails, with message that it is already running in another application.  I disabled it in IE in case that was the problem, but using the Check function shows it isn't on my computer.  I've tried the things on the Help page but my Firefox (most current version) menu doesn't have any of the options shown such as enable Java.  I have even tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.  I already have Shockwave for Director as an add-on, but even before I put that in it happened.

The ActiveX plugin for IE functions independently of the Firefox plugin.
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Download (Save - DON'T run) that and reboot.
Run it from your Downloads folder.

  • Big lagging when i open a flash game with new firefox 8.0 version

Since i updated my Firefox to 8.0, i am experiencing big lagging when i open a flash game; it takes longer than usual and when i finally get to play the game, within 3-4 minutes it shows error in the flash application and i have to reload my page again. Before this there was no problem. Please advise.

The answer did not resolve my issue. As I said, I am using version8.0.1 and getting the message (''''Some important features may not work in this version of your browser, so you have been redirected to the Basic HTML version. Upgrade to a modern browser, such as Google Chrome. Try standard version anyway'''').
In any case, I re-installed the latest version with no change in the usability or appearance of Gmail. Any other suggestions

  • Is avg 2012 compatible with latest firefox 15.0

pressured to install latest firefox 15.0 but will it disable my avg 2012 security shield can,t get a definite yes or no answer

You should immediately update to Firefox 15, as it contains major security fixes you are currently vulnerable to.
As for your AVG, I'm not sure if the AVG Toolbar is compatible yet, however, that is only a nearly useless add-on AVG injects into Firefox. Your actual Anti-virus is running and will continue to run in the background, no matter if your Firefox add-on is working or not. So the risks are major enough that I would upgrade now, check for any AVG updates today and tomorrow, and wait for them to support Firefox 15 (which should be quick). You will be safe than you are now.

  • Necessary plug ins not compatible with latest Firefox update

I have FF 6 which just automatically updated. Two necessary plugins, Trend Micro which is security and eCopy PDF Pro which is program to read pdf's. Is there a way to roll back to before update? Should I uninstall and then install a previous version? Seems like I should get a warning and a chance to decline update until plugins catch up.

  • Is there a site advisor that is compatible with Firefox 4?

AVG secure search extension not compatible with new firefox 4, is mcafee site advisor or any other compatible?

Yes, I have latest McAfee Site Advisor installed which works fine with Firefox4.
    Download Link:
    www.siteadvisor.com
By default in Firefox4 add-on bar is turned off, if that is the case for you as well then after installation of Site Advisor you need to enable add-on bar manually from Firefox menu by navigating to:
    View->Toolbars-Add-on-bar
