Is 320 kbps mp3 that 'bad' for the battery?

I just found this page - http://forums.ilounge.com/digital-audio-formats/45277-128kbps-aac-question.html and got a bit worried since kind of all my mp3 files is in 320 kbps... Is it really true that the battery will drain power dramatically fast??? compare to lets say 192 kbps or 128 kbps ACC
What would the difference be in battery time??
Any opinions?
Thanks

Hello
I am asking this question in this forum since this forum is meant (from what I have understood) to support those customers that already bought an Apple product. Why I believe this, is because I needed to add my ipod nano ID number, I guess to ensure I really own an legit Apple product.
Thanks for your reply anyway.

True. However, you want answers that is beyond what is already published in the link you posted.
Does 24 hours 'include' all music formats AND bitrates that you can possibly play on the ipod nano?
All the music formats _that are listed in the spec link._ Anything beyond that, ask a Genius specialist. iPod Nano is not even a year old yet. There has not been any additional music format added yet.
Registering your product has nothing to do w/the questions you are asking. If your serial # takes, then you know you have a legit Apple product. If not, return it.

No, it's actually what you're supposed to do. To prolong the battery life, try to keep its level high or full as much as you can.
I don't know for sure, but I think the iPod does not draw current from the charging battery but from the charger itself.

It does no harm. It won't over charge.

  • Is continuous charging bad for the battery?

Will it harm or decrease the battery life of my iPod if I leave it on charge continuously? I normally have my iPod connected to my home stereo via a dock. It is convenient to leave the iPod in the dock, which means that it always has power supplied. I think it stops charging when it is fully charged, but will leaving it connected in any way damage the battery? Thank you.

No, this shouldn't harm the battery. You are right, the iPod battery does stop charging when it's full.

  • Is charging in dock every night bad for the battery?

I am getting an iPhone 4 in a few days and was planning on getting an iHome dock to use as an alarm clock for college and work and things. If i plug it into the dock every night to use as alarm clock will it lessen the battery life?

No. When in a dock it is running on the charger and does not use the battery. See:

  • How to find BADI for the enterprise service?

    Hi Experts,
We are enhancing an enterprise service for Businesspartner  creation by adding an additional field in the structure. But we are not able to find out the correct BADI for the enterprise service.  We are using the following enterprise service - 'BusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In' . I could not find any BADI in ES workplace also .How to search for a BADI for this ES.
Any help on this will be well appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Sanu.
Not all the services is an BAPI or BAPI, maybe this is an interface.
To see the related object go to esworkplace and find the service.
You will find in the page the label "Related Web Service Definition".
Copy the related value(in your case ECC_BusinessPartnerCrtRC) it and go to SAP GUI. In transaction SE84, go to enterprise service and choice service definition.
Paste the value copied in esworkplace in field Service Definition, then F8.
In the next screen double click in the returned value.
In the next screen you will see a Reference Object field. Double click in the value and you will see the related object.
In this case is an interface. You can see in Provider Class.
    Hope that's help you.

  • Is Firefox working on the OS BADA for the Samsung Wave II GT- S8530?

I posted this 3 months ago in your Mobile forum: Hoping for a feedback from someone at Firefox. So far nothing. Can someone respond? Is Firefox working on the OS BADA for the Samsung Wave II GT- S8530? Any guess if there is something in the works for completion? Thanks
I recently purchased a Samsung Wave II GT-S8530 mobile phone while I was in Thailand. It is a great phone and I would like to use Firefox on it. I was just asking if there was anybody working on this new OS called BADA? If so, I would really like to find out if it will be available soon? Thanks for your help and you guys have a wonderful product. I put it on everyone of my friends PC as it is soooo much better than explorer.
I really would appreciate if someone from the Tech/engineering/or anyone in the know, side of Firefox that would respond to me on this issue. BADA OS is a growing platform serving more and more mobile styles. This OS could really use a Firefox browser.
    Thank you for your time!
    Wader

Sorry, we don't have support for BADA. There are no plans to support it at this time.

  • Is 'never sleep' bad for the computer?

I would like to allow remote access at any time; however, I cannot do this on wireless without leaving my computer in 'Never Sleep' mode.  Is leaving the computer in this 'Never Sleep' mode bad for the computer?

Never sleeping depends on the room temperature, which will affect how hot the hardware will get. If it's really hot, you will want to let it sleep to cool down. Also, running 24/7 means the fans or fan will never stop. This will mean introducing more dust into the computer, as well as possibly burning up the fan motors sooner than would be the case otherwise.
Another aspect of this is if you don't have "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" in Sys Prefs>Energy Saver, that will mean the drive will be running 24/7. I don't have that checked because I think it puts more stress on the drive to have it cycling off and on constantly. However, I do sleep the computer when not in use. Therefore, my drive, although it isn't sleeping when the computer is being used, isn't running 24/7. Some people think it's good or at least OK to run the drive 24/7, but there is no evidence it is, and although I can't support this with anything more than personal preference, I think running the drive 24/7 can't be too great for it.
A lot of this is just guesswork and personal experience and preferences.

  • Is it bad for the MacBook Pro to play World of Warcraft?

Is it bad for the MacBook Pro to play World of Warcraft?

There will just be a little more wear and tear than "normal" use, because the heat goes way up and the fans max out while playing, as with most gaming. I guess that affects the overall lifespan of the laptop.
I played all the time on my MBP early 2008, and still play on my 2011 MBP. The '08's fans had to be replaced but still works fine.

  • Is it bad for the computer to save thousands of emails?

    Hi,
I have been told that it is bad for the computer to save thousands of emails... unless I somehow turn them into documents.
Is this true? And if so, how would you go about doing this? I find it very useful to go back and look through emails for certain things...
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi there,
It is my understanding that problems may arise if you store a large amount of e-mail messages in the Inbox (and maybe also in the Sent box). I like to keep a large amount of e-mail also and what's been recommended is to create new mailboxes and drag the messages you wish to store into these. You may name them with descriptive names that will help you with categorization. To create the boxes, go down to that little "+" sign at the bottom lefthand corner of the Mail window. There is supposedly some max size your Inbox needs to stay beneath for Mail to function correctly, but you can let the size of these extra boxes get very large without problem.
There are also ways to archive e-mail completely outside of Mail, but I've never done this myself. A search of discussions will probably yield more information on that technique. But a good thing to do right now is to create additional mailboxes as I've outlined above.
    Post back. Good luck.
    Steve M.
