Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
I suspect you have a hardware problem. -
when i play heavy games around 600 MB to 1GB for around 4 to 5 minutes on my iphone 4s,it gets heated....so is it normal or there is some defect??
I play PGA tour 2012 and yeah my iPhone 5 gets hot. I would imagine that unless the device is giving you some kind of alert of the heat, it should be normal because the device is working to render the games graphics at their peak.

Mac Pro (early 2008) shuts off randomly, suspect PSU runs too hot.
I know there have been other posts on this, but it seems no-one mentions how hot things are running or ever provides any details.
History. Mac was brought in during its last week of Applecare for the issue of random power offs. Not errors or kernel panics. Just powers off like you yanked the plug, there is a loud click which sounds like a muffled static shock. Sometimes the issue would repeat time after time unless you let the mac sit. On other days it never happened. The issue can easily be replicated by setting the mac to never sleep, and letting it idle overnight. Invariably when you come back to the mac in the morning it'll be powered off.
The mac was brought in under applecare and repaired for a "faulty video card" that was causing the issue. It took apple a week to repair the mac, during which the Applecare warrenty expired.
Two weeks after the repair the issue happened again. The mac simply shut off on its own, no error or anything in the console logs. Again, like you had pulled the power plug.
I contacted the apple store who did the repair and fought with them to have them look at the mac again. I even gave them specific instructions on how to repair it. Yet I could get nothing from Apple and that upsets me. Apple won't even honor their own work.
****** off I let the mac sit for months. However I had a photoproject I had to do and low and behold the SAME issue is happening still.
So here are the specs, just from the mac sitting idle while I type this post and do some other web browsing. (amazingly enough its been stable today.

Temps are in the 80's to 90's F for CPU, Mem, Hds...etc.
However what seems odd to me and I did note this when I submitted the mac to apple for repair that the PSU seems to be awefully hot compared to the rest of it. The PSU temp sensors report 170* and 150* on average at idle. Often climbing to 200*F plus during consistant heavy loads. The PSU fan at idle reports 750rpm on average as well.
I suspect its a power supply issue for the shear fact that it shuts off so randomly and quickly. If there are any apple technicians who read this I'll gladly send you the case #, but as of this moment I don't think I'll be purchasing another Mac, I don't even know if I want to pay out of my own pocket when I paid Apple for a warranty that they won't even support their own labor and parts on.
If were to walk away from this mac within the next 24hrs it would simply shutoff like it ran out of power on its own despite being set to never sleep, nor having any scheduled shutdowns.
How hot shoud the PSU be idling? It seems that 170* is a tad hot for a PSU at idle. Howe fast should the PSU fan spin on average vs temp?I am having a similar issue with my 2008 model Mac Pro. I believe it is partly an underfed power supply or even loose circuitry in the box. My boyfriend and I brought the CPU from my office to my house this past weekend so we could use my flatscreen TV as the monitor for the unit and both look at our business projects as well as watch movies through the unit. (It takes a lot of effort to move this thing. It is very heavy!) It seemed to work fine for about half an hour, then the Mac Pro shut itself off. When we got it started again, I had to reach behind it to attach the sound line output, but the unit shut off immediately when I bumped the power cord.
Are these two separate problems (i.e. overheating and random shutdown + loose wiring/input mount for power supply) or are they related? From the above post by thirdgen89gta, it looks like the shutdown problem is not isolated.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for how to fix this? -

Have two iPhones with the same id as I got hubbie one in week and when I got it they asked for email address so I gave the one we use, so when my husband started phone up he just put my password in. You'll have to migrate one of the phones to a different account, then delete the other person's data from each account (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't from each account. -
Hi. I am using a time capsule for few PC s. I have made 5 different account to access time capsule. but in windows when I enter account name and password for one account, i cannot access other accounts, because windows saves username. how can i prevent this from happenning. I really need to access all my accounts and dont want it to save automaticlly.
Why have 5 accounts if you need to access all of them.. just have one account?
Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers. -

I have IMac OSX 10.9.4, 4GB,Processor 3.06 with Intell2Duo. I would like to check for Malware. I run a TechTool Pro 6 every month and that comes up great.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory. She is very. very slow in processing. I had 4000
trash to clean out and it took her over an hour to expel. Also for some reason Safari will not allow me to click on a link, in my G-mail, and let it go to the page.
It has a sign saying a pop-up blocker is on and will not let me do it. I must open the stamp to look at my e-mails and if I have redirected link now I can do it.
I have not changed my preferences so where is this pop-up blocker?
I have looked at preferences on Safari and Google, which I do not understand Google, and do not see where this blocker could be.
Malware is something I want to make sure is not on my computer. Tech Tool Pro 6 is all I know of and it does not detect Malware.

I had an iPod about two years ago and ended up getting a different mp3 player. I now have a new 5G iPod and am having the same issue I had 2 years ago for the short time I had my old iPod. Duplicate tracks showing up in my iPod's library. I searched through these forums and found a lot of people having these problems, but none of the suggestions I read in the other threads seemed to do anything.
This seems to be an underlying problem for a lot of people and I don't understand why Apple would make their players this ********. I've had several other mp3 players in the last 2 years and you put in an artists' name and all the songs appear together under one name and are simply organized by Album, genre, year, etc... but, I loaded all my songs onto the iPod and even though tracks all contain the same artist name I get multiple listings for the same artist.
For instance, if I have several albums all of their filenames contain the artists' name, followed by a dash and then the name of the song. The artist name in the iTunes tag all match exactly as well. So why in the **** do names show up multiple times? I had this problem two years ago and it was never resolved, and I checked all over the boards and just couldn't come to a solution. I'll tell you one thing though, I can't believe it's this hard to get all of one artist under one listing on the player. Kinda dumb.
Please forgive me if this topic has been discussed to death. I just couldn't get anything useful out of any previous topics I looked at.Alright I just checked my tracks and settings and what not and added some more music now I get a bunch of extra multiple listings. The first listing gives me almost all his albums just fine. Then for the second listing I get another one of his full albums. And for the last three listings I get a single song in each of them. I mean really, Apple... How does a flaw this stupid rear it's ugly head into so many people's players?! -
My note on my ipad and Iphone have an index of the notes to the left on my copnuter! I wanted to only print the index and the date after the index. The computer would allow me to print the note but not the date it was indexed or the title to the left! of the index date! Has anyone ever had this problem! I am changing laptops and wanted to keep an index printed out for references but delete all the notes from this old notebook!
Please note my Ipad automatically changed to the ios7 update even when the Iphone 5 was with my spouse in Norfolk Va. I had purchased an iphone 5 in feb with 32 gb verses 16 I was happy with it until I thought I was updating itunes to fix bugs and fixes. It updated the ios7 program and the whole look of the iphone five changed and I am over 58 and have trouble keeping up and did not want to update! I callled and had 436 days of insurance left on my phone and I asked them to keep te money for the upgrade and just give me back the 6ios. of course it is know. Apple was trying to helpe get up to speed but the calendar was given me the most difficulty not being able to see appts forward enough to plan very well! My spouse is retiring from the DOD and for the first time in his life can have his on cell so I gave him my 5 and still had my old 4 got my ios6 back and just now the phone is feeling pretty comfortable again for me. The only thing missing is siri i do miss her! I never anticipated that my ipad would change to the ios7 on its on but the applestore in Tampa said that yes that happens oops! I now will try to self educate myself on the ios7. I love my ipad but wish it had not jumped to the 7ios. big problem again is I have is on my 5 it wasa a 32 and I have double or the max of icloud storage but just learned at the apple store that icloud does not store your photos on the cloud. I am a grandmother and the soul pupose of me purchasing so much icloud storage was for my grandkids pics and now I found out you guys don't do this. Where do you store the photos for people? Time is a commodity that is becoming more dear to me every day and it seems I am spending a great deal of it trying to solve a somewhat simple question to the experts no more than a 3 minute conversation could set me on the right track but I can't even buy insurance service for my ipad that just converted to ios 7 on its's own! Does Elements need to have access to ‘My Pictures’ on Windows as when I remove Photos from ‘My Pictures’, Elements later, when backing up, gives a message that it is unable to ‘reconnect’ to the same picture on elements. On other occasions when removing a photo from Elements catalogue I also get a similar message when backing up saying ‘unable to reconnect’. 1. Is there a relationship between Elements and My Pictures and is Elements dependant on the Windows ‘My Pictures’? 2. Why does some photos in Elements in some cases cause them to multiply e.g. double; triple; quadruple; and on occasions even more? Is there something I need to do to stop this or an easy way I can remove the multiples without spending hours doing it manually one by one? Am I doing something wrong? My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and windows Vista on my Laptop. I have been using Elements 5 and have just purchased Photoshop Elements 8.0. (Upgrade) and about to install it. Be grateful for any advice as I do enjoy using the program if only I can resolve this issue. I am not a PC wiz and mainly use Elements to catalogue photos from which I compile collections and from them slide shows with music. The organizer doesn't care where you send your photos when you download them via the downloader or where they happen to be when you first bring them in if you use the Get Photos command, but once your pics are in the Organizer, you *must* move them from within organizer or it can't find them. You don't have to use My Pictures at all if you don't want to, but regardless of the folder where you put your photos, if you want them someplace else, you use organizer to do it.
