Is A Jewish Calendar  available for iCal

terpliss,
Thanks!  Will I need to resubscribe to this in 2016 (the end of the time frame)?
My guess is yes.
I downloaded the 2 different Jewish calendars on my phone directly (not on ical and transfer them) and now I can't delete them.  Any ideas how?
Is your calendar synced with any calendar program? If so, you may have to go to that program on your computer to delete the old subscriptions. If not, you may just have to live with them, since I am not conversant with removing them from the iPhone without a computer interface.

    Susy,
Pick/Click the appropriate iCal link from Jewish Holiday downloads for desktop, mobile and web calendars | Hebcal Jewish Calendar.

  • Why, when MobileMe was shuttered, does Apple NOT support calendar subscriptions for iCal (Calendar)?  I upgraded to Mountain Lion and cannot migrate my Dutch, U.K., Islamic, or Catholic holiday subscriptions.

Why, when MobileMe was shuttered, does Apple NOT support calendar subscriptions for iCal (Calendar)?
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and cannot migrate my Dutch, U.K., Islamic, or Catholic holiday subscriptions.  I had a heck of a time getting my Detroit Tigers Baseball team schedules migrated (but Major League Baseball supported the subscriptions, so it occurred).  As I work internationally, having these calendar subscriptions on the new Calendar would be very useful.
If one goes to the Apple site, and seeks calendars [http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/index1.html], they are shunted to MobileMe [https://www.icloud.com/mobileme/not_found/], with the note "MobileMe is closed. Go to iCloud."  But, I do not see how to get subscriptions from iCloud.
    Thanks.

The problem is that many of these calendars were hosted on MobileMe. I actually tried about 20 at random, and only two worked! Not all of the failures were ex-MobileMe, some were on other servers but produced 'File Not Found'.
Strangely, this one worked despite its URL:
    http://ical.mac.com/ical/UK32Holidays.ics
Until the people who publish these calendars (it's not Apple, they are third-party) wake up and find alternative servers these calendars are not available.
There may be other sources which work - try Googling.

  • MSS Team Calendar available for Employees

    Hello Colleagues,
We have a requirement to make the "Team Calendar" available to employees view own team data.
Is that possible using just customization and/or iview changes? Or it requires development?
Another solution we've been thinking is creating a "Team User" and assign it to the MSS role in the Portal, and put it in the same hierarchical level as the Team Manager is, and give this user access to the team, in order to make the employees able to see the team calendar whenever they need by logging in as "Team User".
Any comment or suggestion is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Marco

Team calendar is available as standard for al the employees in his leave request service!

it uses standard evalaution path like Orgass in ESS to show all his team members in his org unit
You can change this as well
    check table v_ptreq_team
No development is needed for this only mere customisation

  • Where can I find Catholic and Jewish holiday schedules for iCal?

When I go to Find Subscriptions in iCal, I can get every kind of schedule except for Chrisitian and Jewish Holidays.  Why is this?  Where can I find them?

    Here's one.

  • Is there a way to turn off calendar notifications for ical and outlook when the program is not active?

Hi - i'm finding these to be a little bit annoying, anyone know how to do this?  The Outlook ones bug me more than the iCal ones.  Also, i'm wondering if that is hurting battery life to have that running the background.

I'd install Better Touch Tool (free). Add two gestures for Finder ONLY that have "No action" associated with them. This disbales pinch/zoom on the desktop AND in any Finder window, but not in any other application.
If you'd like to occasionally use pinch to zoom in the Finder (to zoom into a photo thumbnail for example), then add two more gestures, again for Finder ONLY - but this time also selecting one of the modifier keys (e.g. "Option" key). For these gestures set as "Use Apple Default or do nothing".
Together, this enables disabling of the zoom feature (to prevent accidental zooming of the desktop icons for example). But whenever you'd like to zoom into a document or photo etc in a Finder Window (which are also now disabled), you can now simply hold down "Option" key and the Pinch functions work again.
This solution works for me on 10.6.8

  • Calendar plugin for Mail?

Has anyone seen any plugins for Apple Mail that add a panel to the UI that shows a calendar and upcoming appointments?
I'd love to have an immediate view of my calendar while working in Mail, much like Outlook has (where the mailboxes are on the left, than the email and preview panels, and then a right-hand panel that shows the calendar.)
    Dan

No answers, so no solution. The only solution I came up with is to use Microcrap Outlook through Fusion, and keep it all synched with OS X. Not a good solution, but it seems there's no UI-integration available for iCal, Mail and Address Book. That's the one thing I guess Outlook does well.

  • How to publish a calendar to webdav (ical) server

I have a Xserve running ical server, but when a user tries to publish a personal calendar on their desktop to the webdav service on the Xserve, it's prompting for a directory path.
What directory we put there? Everything we've tried doesn't work.

There is a difference between sharing and publishing. The latter means getting your calendar to display as an ordinary web page: firstly this cannot be done with a calendar listed under iCloud (this was also true with MobileMe) but only if it's listed under 'On My Mac'. The facility is still available in iCal for such calendars, but the problem is that it has to be published to a CalDav server because MobileMe, which used to take the published files and turn it into a web page, is not longer available. It's assumed in the Help that you are going to be running such a server yourself, which obviously requires a fair standard of technical knowledge. It's been claimed that Box.net can do this but I've seen complaints that it doesn't work.
Sharing, which you can do with iCloud calendars, makes the calendars available for others to subscribe to in a CalDAV client - iCal itself is such a client, and you can also do this with Google calendar - this does require the recipient to have a Google account. The process with iCloud is described in this page and the pages following:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a8694
BusyCal has various sharing options and there is a full user guide available here:

  • Can't stop the Jewish calendar

I had enabled the Jewish calendar in my iCal on my laptop so I could see when Passover was. I had synced my iPhone while the Jewish calendar was enabled. I have since disabled the calendar (it lists every obscure Jewish day possible - one almost every day, some days two!!!)
But I am unable to get it off my iPhone - when I sync the calendar, even though the Jewish calendar on my iCal on my laptop is disabled, it still remains on my iPhone calendar. I cannot find anything in preferences or iTunes that will correct this.
    Can anyone help me please????

    Hi eileent,
If the calendars are correct in iCal you can click the iPhone(on the left side of iTunes under devices)> click the Info tab> check the advanced option to replace calendars on the iPhone.
If you don't want to wipe calendar events on the iPhone and replace them with events from iCal, try the general tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2481

Search the net for Jewish calendars. Won't take long to find one. Send it to your email, open it and it will be added to your calendar.

  • Where are my iCal subscriptions "Christian Holidays"& "Jewish Calendar"?

I have been using iCal ever since my first MacBook G3.  I find it very useful to keep track of dates and appointments for my business, my family and my daughter.  I have appreciated the subscriptions as well, especially those for holidays.  Unfortunately, the subscriptions for CHRISTIAN HOLIDAYS and JEWISH HOLIDAYS have somehow expired, and they are NOWHERE to be found in the list of Downloads for iCal Calendars.  WHERE ARE THEY & HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD THEM??

Many of the calendars which were originally listed on that page were hosted on ical.me.com, which has disappeared with the termination of MobileMe: they won't be available until the authors sort out a new server.
In the meantime you can get a Jewish Holidays calendar at http://www.hebcal.com/

  • Custom column added is not available for Calendar list view in SharePoint 2010

I created a custome column "Breakline" in a custom content type 'SM event", and applied the content type to a Calendar.
The column is listed under the content type "SM event" but it is not listed when I tried to modify the view using the "Breakline" column.
    Does anyone know why?

I set "Breakline" hidden because I don't want to show this in create new item form.
I realized that may be the reason. So changed the column to Optional in CT and created a new calendar using that CT. then at list level CT I changed it to Hidden.  That works.   The column is available for use when modifying view.
    Thanks

  • Calendar published with iCal not available in .Mac?

    Hi!
I have published a calendar with iCal successfully and without any issues - this is a home calendar and so has a limited amount of dates, events etc. However I recently imported my work calendar (which has large amounts of data) and I also published it to my .Mac account.
Other users can subscribe successfully to my published work calendar - however noone (including myself!) can view it online. Clicking on the link throws up teh following error:
. MAC - We're having trouble fulfilling your last request. Please return to the .Mac home page
Is there any solution for this? perhaps .Mac/iCal doesn't like 'private events' (from Outlook) for example?
Many thanks in advance for your time and help,
    KJQ.

I have sometimes had issues like that when I used to
publish calendars on .Mac. When I would publish the
calendar on .Mac, iCal would give me a link like
    this:
    http://ical.mac.com/sack_sama/mycalendar
When you go to that page, the link in the your
    browser's location bar becomes this:
    http://ical.mac.com/WebObjects/iCal.woa/wa/default?u=s
    ack_sama&n=mycalendar.ics
    Hi Dr. Zoidberg,
Yes the link is of the format of the first link that you provided (above). I have tried renaming the calendar and republishing same but this does not help either.
    Thanks for your help,
    KJQ.
