Is Adobe CS3 compatible with Mavericks

I just installed OS X version 10.9.2. Since installation my CS3 InDesign crashes when I attempt to print to my Epson WF 7510. I can print from PDF files. Is CS3 not comparable with Mavericks?

As far as i know the updater for photoshop cs3 doesn't work anymore anyway to actually download and install the updates, so you probably should just find them
and download the updates from here:

  • Is Adobe CS3 compatible with Mac OS X v.10.7?

I am thinking of purchasing a DTP program but don't need the $699 CS5 version. So will CS3 work with my Mac, running on OS X v.10.7 (Mountain Lion)?

CS3 software (InDesign and/or any other components of the Creative Suite 3) is no longer available from Adobe or any authorized resellers. If you are attempting to buy a copy of CS3 off of eBay, Craig's List, or other such marketplaces, buyer beware. Much of that stuff is pirated or is not eligible for activation. A buyer should require that the seller guarantee that the serial number is valid and capable of being transfered to and re-registered your name. (For that matter, CS5 isn't still available, either!)
In terms of compatibility with MacOS 10.7, CS3 came out long before MacOS 10.7. Adobe does not officially support this configuration with CS3 and you should expect some incompatibilities.

  • Is Adobe CS3 compatible with windows 7 / 64 bit?

I need a new pc for working with CS3 - does it work with uptodate technology such as windows 7 / 64 bit?
What are ideal system requirements for CS3?

Nobody can tell you if it will actually work on your PC. Officially it's not tested on Win 7 and not compatible and while users have gotten working setups, nobody can give you any guarantees. Even if it installs and all the apps work, certain specific features may not. Ideal setup? Given the previous point, that would be a Win XP computer from 8 years ago... Sorry, but you're asking the impossible. Simply try, employing all the tricks like compatibility modes and so on where appropriate and then come back when you actualyl have problems.

  • Is CS3 compatible with Mavericks?

Presently I use CS3 in Mountain Lion. If I upgrade to Mavericks will CS3 be compatible?

I have CS3 at home, but I haven't done any real heavy-lifting on my home system for a little while, and that was before I had Mavericks. All I can tell you is that I can run the program and it will do the very easy things that I have needed it to do. As Steve points out, others have had less success, and I imagine they have done actual production work, where I've only messed around.

  • Is CT CS3 compatible with Mavericks?

CT ran in 10.8.x, but won't in 10.9.2.
The error is "no document types have been found, CT will exit now".
    What's the fix?

Yeah I haven't been following the Mac side of things much but do remember it mentioned that 6.5 wasn't compatible (at least when it came out). I think it's a pretty small team that works on Contribute so I would doubt it ever will be compatible.
If it's only a limited amount of people working on the sites, I would consider Dreamweaver. I would assume somebody already uses it for your site?

  • Is Adobe CS4 compatible with Mac OSX Maverick?

    Hello,
Is Adobe CS4 compatible with Mac OSX Maverick?
    Thk

I just upgraded my OS to Mavericks X, and my previously installed Photoshop CS4 failed to run when I tried to launch it.
I even downloaded a brand new version from a link here that was in a "Mavericks X" column, giving me SOME confidence that it might just function on the new OS.
So far, I've been down 3 days since upgrading my OS. I cannot get Photoshop CS4 to run, no matter what I've tried!
Yes, I've uninstalled the prior version before installing the new one. I entered all of my serial number and registration information, and still NOTHING! Bridge appears to work fine, but Photoshop CS4 is just one big crater right now!
I'd like to just talk with a human at Adobe on the phone for a few minutes, which should be all that's needed to get it resolved, but they do NOT offer phone support for Photoshop products!!! And, I'm unable to locate how to even become a "Premium Member" (paid) that will allegedly provide phone support!
    HELP!

  • Is CS3 compatible with Mac OS Yosemite?

CS3 compatible with Mac OS Yosemite?

Photoshop and Indesign worked directly after the upgrade. I had some trouble getting Illustrator to work:
I had problems with Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Yosemite. After the upgrade I installed Java for OS X 2014-001, as suggested by others. This seemed to work (sometimes) but when I opened Illustrator for the 2nd time it failed to open. Illustrator opened without crashing, but it did not show any menus, if I opened an .ai file the file did load and show on the screen, but I could not click on the window (unresponsive). Essentially this made Illustrator useless. I tried the following:
    Re-installation
Install Java for OS X 2014-001
    Cleaning font cache
    Checking permissions
Installing other versions of Java (both JRE and JDK)
Nothing seemed to help. Until finally 15 minutes ago I found the solution by accident:
    Open System Preferences > Java
Wait for the Java Control Panel to load
Open Adobe Illustrator (while keeping the Java Control Panel window open)
Hope this will also help others!

  • Just found out that I can't run microsoft word or adobe photo shop with Mavericks, any way to solve this?

Just found out that I can't run microsoft word or adobe photo shop with Mavericks, is there a way to make this work?

You must be using very old versions (Office 2004 or older, Photoshop CS2 or older).
Upgrade to newer, or current versions.

Of course, iPod Nano 6th Gen is compatible with Mavericks.

  • Disk utility 12 not compatible with Mavericks

I upgraded my late 2008 Mac Book Pro to Mavericks several months ago and just tried to open Disk Utility and get a message that the version I have is not compatible with Mavericks.  Mine is Disk Utility 12, is there an upgrade available?  I looked on the Apple site and couldn't find one.  Thanks!

Well, I'm not on my Mavericks machine at the moment, but my Mountain Lion machine has Disk Utility 13, so Mav must have at least that or higher.
Since Disk Utility is not a stand alone application, but an integral part of the OS, I'd suggest you use your recovery partition - hit Command + R keys during restart/boot up and choose to reinstall the OS. That should bring everything up to date.

  • Is Adobe XI compatible with Windows 8 RT on a Windows Surface 2?

Is Adobe XI compatible with Windows 8 RT on a Windows Surface 2?

    Hi Alfred ,
I would like to know do you have a Surface Pro (running Windows 8) or Surface RT (running Windows RT).  There is no such thing called "Windows 8 RT".
It is not compatible with the Windows RT operating system.  So if you have a Surface RT, you would not be able to install and run the desktop app.
Adobe Reader Touch is a Windows Store app with "Modern" UI.  It is compatible with both Windows 8 and Windows RT operating systems.

  • Does anyone know if Photoshop Elements 9 for the Mac is compatible with Mavericks?

Does anyone know if Photoshop Elements 9 for the Mac is compatible with Mavericks?

Yes, but it is absolutely critical to delete all existing preferences after upgrading to 10.9.
I'm running PSE 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 in 10.9. PSE 11 has a slight problem (with a couple of filters) but otherwise it all works.
