Hi, i am having an issue with a basic motion scroll effect.
I already watched and read every tutorial out there regarding this topic and even tried the adobe chat support, but the guy on the other end of the line disconnected me…, probably he didn't understand what i wanted from him because english is not my native language, so a will try to be very, very clear about this one..
please note, that i am new to muse, this is my first project ever.
    my idea is as following:
when the customer comes to our companies site, he just sees our logo on a white Background. the logo consists of, say, four elements. when the customer scrolls down, the logo starts to disassamble: first the first part of the logo flies out the left side of the site, then the second part of the logo vanishes down, then the third part of the logo flies to the right, then the fourth part of the logo flies to the top and out of the customers view. given what i have seen, it is possible to do that….
    so…..
now i have the four parts of my logo imported as png files into muse and assembled them in design view to build our companies logo. I select every one of the four parts and go into the scroll effects tab left beside the layers tab. first i enter the same values for every one of the four parts: initial motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right motion; key position ( t-handle) : 0px; final motion: 0x and 0x again for the left and right value.
now i hit "preview".: the logo is "pinned" at the correct position, i can scroll but the logo stays where it is. so far so good….
now i select all the four elements again and go to the scroll effecs tab. at "final motion", i click the down arrows and enter 1x. I hit Preview…
when i am scrolling down the WHOLE logo goes down…. so far so good.
NOW i want the first part of the logo to go down, THEN the second part to go left, THEN the third part to go up, THEN the fourth part to go right.
so i select ONLY the first part, go to the scroll motion tab, at "final motion" i click the left arrows, then i enter 1x.( the up-down value, i set to 0 again).. i hit Preview…
the first part of the logo goes left as soon as i start scrolling, the other three parts still go down at the same time…
NOW i want the second part of the logo to start moving, when the first part has left the scene, not at the same time as the first part.
SO I SELECT THE SECOND PART AND DRAG ITS T-HANDLE (KEY POSITION) DOWN TO, LETS SAY, 200PX. SO IT STARTS MOVING ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAS REACHED THAT POINT, RIGHT?
BUT WHEN I PREVIEW THAT ****, THE LOGO IS NOT TOGETHER ANYMORE, THE SECOND PART IS FLOATING ANYWHERE ELSE BUT WHERE IT SHOULD BE…..WTFF????
short: when i move the t handle, the initial position of the object changes. thats what i said to the adobe employee, but he said, that thats the expected behavior….
but if thats so, how can i have my four parts correctly together, so they form my logo, but with different t handles, so that they all start to move at different times??
Pleeease help me, i am dying of frustration here…..:( that behavior cant be right, right?
Thanks so much to everyone who actually reads this post and tries to help…….
    All the best,
    Niki Lapan

Thank you so much for helping,
But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
Anyway thank you very much for your time and effort!!!!

  • Any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the Maverick system?

Has anyone had any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the new Maverick OS? I don't want to install if there are issues. Thanks!

First thing I would suggest is to upgrade your server OS to a newer version if possible. Secondly try removing the apps out of the allowable apps list and instead change it so that you allow the apps that are within the specific application folder, ex: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5
I had similar problems with CS5 apps and by adding the apps by allowable folder instead it corrected my problem. Granted, if you have savvy users, there is the potential to open a can of worms here but it was the only way I could get it to work for "standard" non-admin user types.

  • Does my version of Adobe CS5 Support the Canon 5d Mark II?

    Hello,
I recently viewed a PeachPit video series that had screen shots and workflows for and from the Canon 5d Mark II HDSLR camera.
I've been having a few problems and issues getting started and wonder if perhaps I need to update my version of CS5.
Here is a screen shot that leads me to believe this.  I distinctly recall on the PeachPit instructional videos are 5d appearing in this drop down menu.
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Matt,
The screenshot you posted is for control and capture from DV and HDV devices; the 5D doesn't fit into this category. Since it is technically a "tapeless" camcorder, you are able to simply import the MOV files after you've copied them from your CF card to your hard drive. Technically, you could edit off the CF card, but you don't want to.
Just use the OS to copy the files to a hard drive (preferably one separate from the system drive), and then import the files into Premiere; there are many ways to do this, including from the PPro menu, by double-clicking the Project Panel, by dragging from a file browser window, or by using the Media Browser in Premiere. Moments after dragging them into the software, you'll be ready to begin editing.

  • Is Adobe AIR supported under Mountain Lion?

I see several problems referenced with Adobe AIR and Mountain Lion support. My application crashes on load as well. Is there a fix in the works for Adobe AIR?

Thanks for opening the bug report.  We're a bit behind right now but I've asked the team to take a look.  I'd like to recommend anyone else experiencing this bug to take a minute and vote/comment in the bug report.

  • Can't install Adobe CS5.5 via the Adobe download assistant.

I've updated Java but once the adobe assistant has installed it just disappears and nothing else happens. Please help, this is my first Mac (Macbook Pro 17 2.2 quad core running lion 10.7.2) and I need it for my work. I also tried to install Adobe Air but the exact same thing happens.
    Many thanks

I've managed to solve this issue and thought I would post the answer in case anyone else faces the same problem. You need to go to system preferences, then energy saving, then switch off the graphics saver mode, then reboot and try the download again.
It worked perfectly for me once I'd done this, not sure if it's adobe assuming you do not have the required hardware.

  • So why did you guys delete my post about Adobe Flash support for the Pixi?

Explain to me why my post was deleted please?

I don't see it in the Deleted section, so I have no idea.
If your post was not a pointless rant, then feel free to post again.

  • Software/hardware integration: Adobe CS5 & Brother MFC-J825 DW

    Hi
I think this may well be my first ever post to these forums... so be nice!
I work as an illustrator, and have used Photoshop in combination with scanners for years, no problems. Fairly recently - actually this all coincided with a hiatus in my illustration work, which has meant that 'fairly recently' is a little while ago now - I moved on to Adobe CS5, and around the same time changed from an Epson multi-function scanner/printer to a Brother one (MFC-J825DW).
My old style workflow was this: draw pics, scan them, work on them in either (or both) Photoshop and Illustrator. With my Epson printer I was able to launch Photoshop and scan directly. I liked the simplicity of that one-step processs immensely.
Since upgrading to CS5 and getting the Brother printer I can no longer do this. It introduces a new step, which is the Brother 'Control Center' software. I REALLY dislike this. I much prefer to open Photoshop and do all the scanning related work in a single step within the software in which I'll subsequently be editing the images.
Although I've read a number of threads relating to this topic - e.g. this one:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/849413 - none have actually resolved it so far.
I've downloaded a TWAIN driver from Brother, and placed it in the appropriate folder, but I still don't have any way to scan from Photoshop. It used to be that within Photoshop I would go:
File > Import > Epson TWAIN
... but despite downloading the Brother TWAIN driver and installing it (well, actually I found it was already there, but I re-installed it anyway), nothing shows relating to scanners under File > Import >
Having spent just under four hours trawling the web, inc. various forums, and calling Brother, Adobe, and even the shop where I brought the device, I have still got nowhere. So any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Seb

  • When Will Adobe Discontinue Support to All Pre-Cloud Software Suites?

    Hello,
I work in a high-security US military installation.  My team used the CS4 Creative Suite until the summer of 2013 when Adobe support ceased (updates; patches), and according to US Army policy we immediately had to stop using the software and upgrade to the next available, which was CS6 at the time. Now that the Cloud is in use, we need to know the date that CS6 support will discontinue so we can plan for the switch over to Creative Cloud.
    Thank you.

As far as I know (I do not work for Adobe) direct support for the 3+ year old CS6 has already stopped, in that there are no more updates/patches
All updates start here and select product, read to check dates for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

  • Why does Adobe tech support fail ?

I have been on four support conversations to Adobe technical support in the last two days, if thats what you can classify typing to an anonymous operator on chat software. I checked prior to purchase that I could upgrade from Freehand MX to Illustrator 5.1 using the illustrator upgrade disk and was assured it was possible. Now that I have made the purchase and tried to install the software, only to have it fail on me, Adobe are consistantly refusing to support the problem, to the point where I am cut off as soon as they get me case details. I have transcripts of the conversations, as soon as I mention that I have the transcript where they assured me it was possible, they cut me off. The website is a nightmare to navigate, I always end up back at the header page. I am a web designer and know how to build navigation that goes to a page, and not in a big circle. The engineers cannot type English good or give clear instruction, and when questioned, also cut you off. Adobe make good software but cannot support it at all. If there was an alternative I would use it, but they have absorbed all the competition.

I have been hung up on four times by your technical support, you can start
there. If they cant answer a question, have them apologise gracefully or
refer it to someone who can apologise, not just hang up.
I have managed to get the software working without any help from you, I
think I shall leave it at that. If there is an alternative to Adobe
products in the future, I shall be using it.
Thank you for your interest, but the company you work for is not worth
    putting the effort into.

  • Adobe Cust Support Meltdown

I have a horror story about Adobe customer support. I am not alone. There are many horror stories about Adobe Customer Support on the Internet.
Adobe, you are too big. You have become so big that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.
Your customer support people are put into terrible positions of being the bad guys because your databases are not big enough or flexible enough to keep up with demand. Plus they get yelled at if they have accents different from the customer's accent. This make it hard for them and for customers.
I think those support people must be the most patient people on earth. I would not want their job.
You also have too many products for one generic support line.
You need to split off into different divisions for each product.
Then you need to reorganize your databases so each division has it's own database for it's own sales and products.
Both my boss and I had our order histories lost by Adobe. And we live 2000 miles apart from each other. We have separate accounts with Adobe.
Yet Adobe lost my order history twice. And his once.
If I hadn't ordered back up discs of Web Premium 5.0 there would have been no proof I paid $800 for it!
I had to give Adobe the order number of the vendor in Salt Lake City who shipped me the discs.
Only then did Adobe give me my serial numbers, which had disappeared off the website.
    It shouldn't be this way.
I dread calling Adobe to pay for upgrades because I always know it's going to be an ordeal just to get my account verified and pay for the software. And it's pretty bad when people dread buying something from you.

I have no problem with you posting here. You might get a better response by posting here:

You will bet the best response by posting here:

A real letter from a real customer can get results. One of the best parts of your post was that it wasn't an angry vicious post. Just one that really expressed your feelings and frustration with a company you obviously once thought highly of. I really do recommend sending a letter to the office of the President and CEO.
