Is Airport Express Moody ?? Can't figure out.
SETUP
For about a 2 months now, I am having problems with my internet connection via Airport Express. I have an ADSL2 4mps connection from my ISP which is then connected to my 1st iMac via ethernet cable and the 2nd iMac and Mac Book Pro via airport express wifi.
PROBLEM
Some sites seems to work fine and some don't. Like Facebook and Google always seem to work. When I search something I will have the complete search results, but when I will try and click on any link - it gives me the time out error, as if the site I was visiting was offline. Other times even google and FB load after a delay. The same happens on all other macs that I use wifi on.
*WHAT I HAVE ALREADY DONE*
Since the connection seemed intermittent I lodged a complaint with my ISP and they got some wiring changed from out the house. But the problem does not seems to go away. The internet connection would seem to be live when I am accessing it via an application, however, if I try and go to a page there are long pauses before the page downloads or just times out. On my ethernet connected iMac I have DNS setup as 4.2.2.2 - as some IT guru once told me to. I still cannot get my head around this problem. ISP has ruled out their modem as a problem and have changed some wires from their end of the pole.

Please describe in more detail your network connection scheme. What is the brand and model number of your DSL modem? Does it have router functionality, such as more than one LAN port? What other networking gear do you have? (You posted your message in a section for Apple's AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi router, but then you mention an AirPort Express, which is another Apple router.) What device is creating your Wi-Fi network?

On my ethernet connected iMac I have DNS setup as 4.2.2.2
In general, you should depend on the DNS servers recommended automatically by your ISP via DHCP. Hard-coded DNS server values can be unstable.

You will need to map the "Expression Pedal" to the Waa pedal. There are several ways you could do it, here's one:
In Layout Mode, add a Pedal Screen control, and Assign it to the in-coming MIDI from the GiO.
In Edit mode, select the Screen Control, and click the "Map Parameter" button. While this is active click on the Wah pedal in the PedalBoard plugin. Turn off 'Map Parameter".

Yes, you can.
This is a special feature of the AirPort Express 802.11n. You will have to set it up "manually" to "enable Ethernet clients".
If your "main" AirPort Express is an 802.11n version, it is also possible to setup the second Express to "extend a wireless network" to provide additional wireless coverage in addtion to enabling the Ethernet port.
If you need the steps, post back to let us know what operating system you are using on the Mac or PC that will be used for the setup of the new AirPort Express. -

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I am connecting my new iMac to my Buffalo router. I forgot my router password so I pushed the reset button and my computer was able to connect. The problem is, I can't figure out how to set my new password and lock the router. I went to the Buffalo website and downloaded the CD, as I can't find that either. I can't open any of it because it says it is Windows and can't open it. I am new to Apple!

I can't figure out what's wrong with this code
First i want this program to allow me to enter a number with the EasyReader class and depending on the number entered it will show that specific line of this peom:

Back to My Mac - can't figure out NAT stuff
So I'm far from technical...I just can't figure out how to get Back To My Mac (BTMM) to work. I am setting this up from home now...
I have walked through the BTMM manual:
I start in AirPort Utility and select my Base Station.
To be able to see the "Internet" button at the top (and AirPort, Printers, Disks and Advanced), I need to first select "Manual Setup".
I click "Internet" as it says to do in the BTMM manual. Then there is only an "Internet Connection" tab. So to get DHCP and NAT to appear, I need to change the Connection Sharing drop-down from "Off (Bridge Mode)" to "Share a public IP address". Once I do that, the NAT tab appears.
So I click NAT and then make sure 'Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol' is checked (it is already).
Then I click the Update button in the lower right.
What I get then is a notice:
'Correct the 4 problems below before updating this base station.
Problem:
DHCP Beginning Address
DHCP Ending Address
Allow SNMP over WAN
Allow configuration over Ethernet WAN port'
Then when I select any of those 4 problems, different notices appear at the bottom. Thing is, I have no idea how to fix any of them, and the BTMM manual gives no clues how to fix this.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks!I have the same problem. From as far as I can see, there isn't any reason to have the SNMP over WAN option checked. The DHCP beginning and ending addresses have something to do with how the airport assigns IP addresses to the computers on the network. I have a theory, but I need some backup. I think if I disable the DHCP on my modem and use the Airport as my DHCP server and enable NAT, it should work. Can anyone help out with this?!

Apex bug? Items being cleared in session state - can't figure out why
I have an item that is being submitted with a value but is then being overwritten and set to null. I can't see any reason why the submitted value is being overwritten with null.
I have been debugging this problem for most of the day and can't figure out what is happening and was hoping someone in the forum might be able to shed some light.
Some details:
The item is on Page 0, has source type of "PL/SQL Expression or Function", a source expression of "V('REQUEST')", and Source Used = "Always".
I viewed the HTML source of the rendered page and can see the following HTML, so I know the item has a value when the page is rendered:

I have used Firebug to view the HTTP POST body and can see that p_t08 is being correctly submitted with a value of "EDIT" in the post body.
When I run the page in debug mode and then view the debug log, I see that Apex is indeed setting this item to null:

I can't figure out why the item is being set to null.
This problem also does not occur on every page. The pages in question are a multi-step "wizard" that allows the user to navigate between steps with "Next" and "Previous" buttons. Since this is a page 0 item, it appears on every page in the wizard so I'd expect it to behave the same. When you open the wizard at step 1 and press next to go to step 2, the item (RENDER_REQUEST) is set correctly on step 2 of the wizard, BUT when you then click Next to go to step 3, RENDER_REQUEST is null on step 3. If you open the wizard at step 2 and press Next, RENDER_REQUEST is null on step 3.
I did find a work around, but it doesn't make any sense why it would work: if I move the RENDER_REQUEST item from the "Footer Items" region to a page level item (by using Edit All and setting its region to blank), then the problem goes away. If I move it back to the "Footer Items" region the problem reoccurs.
I am working on Application Express 4.0.2.00.07 on Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this on apex.oracle.com due because the app requires PL/SQL packages to be installed in several schemas, including some that require system grants (I gave a presentation at Oracle Open World a couple of years ago on some of the techniques I used in building this application that you attended; I think the session was called "Building Large Commercial Applications with Oracle Database 11g and Oracle Application Express").
Is there another way we can work together to debug this without reproducing it apex.oracle.com? For example, if you could send me an instrumented version of the APEX_040000.F procedure (or whatever procedure is clearing the session state) that has some additional APEX_APPLICATION.DEBUG calls, I could install it on my server, reproduce the error and send you the output.

What is your overall network configuration with the AirPort Express? That is, is the Express configured to join a wireless network provided by another router or is it your main router? If it is joining another router, what is the make & model of this router? Which model of the Express do you have? Finally, if you have another router, where is the Express located related to this router? Same room, different room, different floor?

Can't figure out how to use home sharing
Since the latest couple iTunes updates, my family and I can not figure out how to use home sharing. Everyone in our household has their own iTunes, and for a long time we would just share our music through home sharing. But with the updates, so much has changed that we can no longer figure out how to use it.
I have a lot of purchased albums on another laptop in the house, that im trying to move it all over to my own iTunes, and I have spent a long time searching the internet, and everything. And I just can't figure out how to do it. So.... how does it work now? I would really like to get these albums from my moms iTunes, onto mine. I would hate to have to buy them all over again.

Thanks!The problem im having is that after I am in another library through home sharing, I can't figure out how to select an album and import it to my library. They used to have it set up so that you just highlight all of the songs you want, and then all you had to do was click import. Now I don't even see an import button, or anything else like it. So im lost... I don't know if it's something im doing wrong, or if our home sharing system just isn't working properly.

Something was hidden in a download and now these double green underlined hyperlinks show up everywhere, and pop ups too whenever I click on ANYTHING. I can't figure out how to find it and get rid of it.
You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.

If I record select column and then copy it. Script is recorded until selection . It ignores copy (i tried use mouse right click and copy AND manual alt+F12 and then copy from context menu)
When I export recorder does open export window but does not writes the line relevant to clicking save.

I keep multiple photos in a desktop folder to be quickly accessed by using Preview. But when I try to open ONE photo, it opens multiple photos. Can't figure out how to display just the single one that I select. OS 10.7.2
This is the resume feature of Lion. The last state of the application is saved when quitting (i.e last pictures viewed in Preview, last videos viewed in Quicktime etc).
You can switch it off for Preview by copy and pasting the following in to the terminal application
defaults write com.apple.Preview NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
