  • Jolt - supported platforms.

    Hi
My JSL starts on the SUN Sparc SunOs 5.7 but will not start on SunOs 5.8. ( I
    have Jolt 1.2 & Tuxedo 6.5).
    How does 5.7 & 5.8 match the supported platforms 2.5.1 / 2.6 /
    2.7 ?
Do I have to upgrade to run on my SUnOs 5.8 ?
    Regards
    Jorgen

You will need a certain patch level for Tuxedo 6.5 to work on Solaris 2.8. Which
patch level you are running with?

  • Cannot acess to Support Platform

Documetation describes tha user must belong to Administrators group. There is no such group only role. But user J2EE_ADMIN cannot access the URL http://server/sp
Which roles and groups user must belong to?

    Hi Denis,
As i understand you are using a java-add in engine. In this indeed there is no group Administrators, however for some reason the support platform is checking if the user belong to administrators group. Easiest way out is probably creating the group Administrators through Visual Admin -> Security Provider service, then adding the J2EE_ADMIN user to it.
    I hope this is helpful

  • Doubts about Supported Platform Sheets between Tuxedo 12c and OTMQ

    Tuxedo team, hi!
I was looking at the supported platform sheets on both Tuxedo and OTMQ and I'm having a doubt regarding one point. In the Tuxedo 12 platform sheets, it says that RH Enterprise Linux is supported until the 6.3 version, as noted on the link below:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35855_01/tuxedo/docs12c/install/inspds.html#wp1476309
As for the OTMQ, I was hoping for the same platforms supported, but found out that it only supports RH Linux to 5.6, as noted on the link below:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35855_01/otmq/docs12c/install/inspds.html
Is this right? What are the limitations of the OTMQ on a RH 6.x ?
    Thanks,
    Brunno Attorre

    Hi,
Can anyone help me on this point? Just wanted to make sure that the RH platform from 5.6 onward is not compatible with OTMQ.
    Thanks,
    Brunno Attorre

  • Supported platform for EHP6 installation

Hi guys - Can anyone answer this question. I can not find this info on PAM or SDN. Please help.
We are installing ERP 6.0 EHP6. We know that Oracle supports EHP6 on Linuux REDHAT 6.0 only for development.
We do not want to take a chance just in case there is a delay in support on REDHAT 6.0. Therefore we are planning to install the system on REDHAT 5.7.
Can anyone let me know if ERP6 EHP6 installation is certified on REDHAT 5.7?
    Thank you in advance.

Thx guys - after months of communication with SAP, I thought to share my findings with whom might have the same issue.
Although you donot see RHEL5.7 on PAM, it dosen't mean they donot support it. They want to walk away from supporting RHEL 5.7 on 7.20 kernel. Therefore they recommend to go with RHEL 6.0 and 720 ECT kernel. However there is a SAP note that is not released to public and I can not share the note, it states that by replacing few components of 720 EXT kernel with 720 Kernel, you can implemnt the EHP6 on RHEL 5.7.
Therefore, If you are a ramp-up client for this product and you do not see the supported platform on PAM, I recommend that your coach to contact SAP development team for clarification.

  • BEA - PLEASE UPDATE SUPPORTED PLATFORMS PAGE / JDK1.3

I've seen numerous posts in the newsgroups about OutOfMemory errors (unrelated
to the Java Heap) and the JVM crashing with JDK1.3 on Solaris. I have told these
people to use -XX:MaxPermSize=128m and many have told me that this fixes the problem.
There is currently an open bug on Sun's bug parade that describes this problem.
Many of the people posting to this bug refer to WebLogic
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4390238.html
Can someone at BEA please update the supported platform web page?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Marian,
Neither Golive 8 or 9 is particularly buggy - not more than any other existing application anyway (there is no such thing as a bugfree application). Some people have crashing problems in GoLive, personally, I've never really had those problems and I've used GoLive since version 1 long before Adobe time. My GoLive 8.01 (and 9) works just fine in OS X 10.5.6 Leopard and hardly ever crashes. DW is no more stable than any other app either.
As for Emirs request, there are not and will not be any further updates either for GoLive 8.01 or 9 as GoLive is discontinued and no longer supported by Adobe or sold. As long as it works you can keep on using it, but be prepared for crashes where it is not compatible with todays OS-versions.

  • AIA FP 3.1 supported platforms

Does anyone know what will be the supported platforms for AIA FP 3.1?

    Hi Virac,
    Thanks for the information.
Yeah I got the Installation Guide for Unix and the release notes, but what I was really after was the Supported Platforms document as it is a requirement that we follow that document if we want out deployment to be supported if we get into issues in the future.
We can look at the above two documents now and if we get into issues later down the track and if our deployment is on correct as per the Supported Platforms document we will not get bug fixes.....
Could someone from PG or Support please answer this question or raise it so that the document gets posted into the SAP Portal.....
    Cheers
    Hai.

    Hi Kiran,
    There are two ways:
    enter the following URL http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsupportplatformwd/SP
    login with the super-admin user
You will see the UI of the support platform then click on Restart support platform.
The second way is using telnet
    1) telnet <server> <port+8> i.e.: <b>telnet localhost 50008</b>
    2) jump 0 (move from the dispatcher to the server)
    3) add deploy
    4) start_app sap.com/com.sapportals.supportplatform
    5) start_app sap.com/tcsupportplatformwd

  • NetWeaver Support Platform Classloading

    Hi,
I'm attempting to write a simple plug in for the Netweaver Support Platform but need to find out what classes are available to the application at runtime?  For example, I'd like to access the Keystore service which I can look up with JNDI but need access to (I think):
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore.KeystoreManager
I've added the keystore_api library to the project but obviously if those classes aren't already referenced by the Support Platform Engine app then they won't be around at runtime.
I'm trying to get a list of certificates to do some SSO sanity checks.  I'll also need to get access to some UME properties too.
It looks like there is a long list of references in the supportplatform.ear's application-j2ee-engine.xml so maybe I'm attempting to access the wrong class as I think there are some keystore related classes in com.sap.engine.client.lib which is referenced.
Any pointers to what I'm doing wrong would be greatfully received.
    Thank you,
    Simon.

  • Know more detail about the Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One ?

SAP Business One 9.1 is about to release this year and we can see in the feature enhancements that a significant update is planned in the Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One, more commonly known as RSP. Let’s have a quick look what update is planned for RSP in version 9.1:
Enhancements planned in Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One 9.1
RSP is planned to support both SAP Business One on Microsoft SQL Server as well as SAP Business One on HANA Database
RSP Processes and Reports adapted to SAP HANA Database
With this plan RSP will help in the areas of Download, Installation, Go-Live Check, Monitoring, Upgrade and Support for SAP Business One both   on SQL Server and HANA.
But like me (non-SAP B1 Consultant) many of you have the question what is RSP and how it helps in support? Here I have tried to gather all information.
What is Remote Support Platform for SAP Business One?
The remote support platform for SAP Business One is designed to protect a SAP Business One installation by providing automated and remote support in a high-volume business.
The platform monitors the entire SAP Business One environment. By significantly reducing the time between the appearance, identification, and resolution of issues, the remote support platform for SAP Business One minimizes the impact on customer databases and processes.
Some Key Features of Remote Support Platform:
Showing alerts to SAP B1 Admin about the events which require their attention, such as low disk space, database backups, etc.
Incident Reports against the issues identified which require attention of SAP Support
Company Database Backup and Restore options
Regular fixes of Company Database inconsistencies
Check, Download and Install regular updates in SAP Business One
Upload Logs and required files to SAP Support or to Partner Support on regular basis
Some details about RSP Backup Management
Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly backups
Perform differential and full database backups
    Back up transaction logs
Back up files to shared folders on a network
    System Status Report through RSP
From June 1st 2013, it will be mandatory to install, configure and upload the System Status Report (SSR) from Remote Support Platform (RSP) for SAP Business One in order to receive support for messages of a technical nature (upgrades, performance & crashes, etc).
    Database uploads only via RSP
From June 1st 2013 SAP Business One Support will only accept database uploads to SAP via remote support platform for SAP Business One. In certain exceptional circumstances STFP may be used but this will constitute a minority of cases.
    Microsoft Windows PowerShell Scripting
In the remote support platform studio, you can create tasks using Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting. PowerShell enables you to perform remote administrative tasks on customers’ Microsoft Windows operating systems, by providing full access to Component Object Model (COM) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).Some Network Prerequisite for RSP
To achieve the internet connection test, you must allow port 80 for the RSP external communication
Disabling antivirus firewall or add the RSP to the trusted zone of the antivirus
    Set the correct proxy
Disabling Windows firewall in the TP_link Wireless Configuration Utility
