Any body has the same problem with youtube ?

I'm having issues with the video playback on YouTube... it load OK then as I'm watching it the video part freezes as the audio continue. I have a brand new MacBook Pro 13" with 4 GB ram and Core i5 running at 2.5Ghz so there should be no problem with it...
My old PC laptop although slow was playing videos almost perfectly with 3GB of ram and Core 2 processor running at 2 Ghz. On both machines I'm accessing YouTube via Safari as I was running it on the PC as well.

To answer a response that I got yes Flash player is the latest version. I just purchased the laptop few days ago and the first time I went on to the YouTube site it promted to install Flash Player in order to watch any video there on the site...
I have just installed few extensions to Safari from Apple and one of them is called "
ClickToFlash "
And that seems ok now... That might have fix the problem who knows... Will find out won't we.
I've also installed another called "
clea.nr Videos for YouTube™ "
I like the way it displays the videos without all the clutter around on the page. So I keep my fingers crossed for things to go smothly.

Mac OS X 10.6.8 experiencing problems with Safari

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 snow leopard and Safari version 5.1.10 which claims to be up to date. On sights such as Folksy I'm getting error messages when I try to upload photos, saying that my browser isn't up to date. I have had problems with Facebook and the blue navigation bar appearing only intermittently. Can anyone suggest what I should do to fix these issues?

Of course you may be able to upgrade to a higher OS version but that depends on your iMac variant. Some can run no higher than OS 10.6 and other are constrained to running no higher than 10.7. To see what is possible from OS 10.6, click on your Apple menu (left end of menubar) and, while the pulldown options are visible, press the OPTION key. The first item, normally "About this Mac," will change to "System Profiler." Launch it.
The opening Profiler screen will show your Hardware Overview. In the image below, I have indicated with the red arrow a model code that will precisely identify your iMac variant:
Also note the amount of "Memory" installed (the ninth line) and tell us what that is. Some older Macs did not ship with enough RAM for newer OS versions and more may need to be added.

More and more I'm experiencing problems with safari . . . I think. I got to a website, and click on something and that little rainbow wheel emerges, spinning, and doesn't stop for a few minutes or never.

First, I'm assuming when the rainbow wheel appears, the computer is processing. Second, I'm seeing that almost anytime I click on one website, click on a tab in the website, or try to get out of safari. I don't know if seeing that more means my computer is not functioning properly, or that it's been on too long and needs to shut down, or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the Tab key to select a search engine on the bottom bar and press Enter to use the search engine to do the search.

In the current Firefox 34 release there is a new "one-off" search bar.
This search bar doesn't show the name of the search engine and a logo.
You can type one letter to make a drop-down list appear where you can see suggestions and see the used search engine and that also has bar at the bottom where you can select other search engines that are enabled via the Search tab in Options/Preferences.
You can use the Tab key to select one of the other available search engines and press the Enter key to search with the selected search engine.
Click the search engine icon and click "Change Search Settings" to open the Search tab in Options/Preferences (positioned between Tabs and Content) to select the default search engine and select which search engines to show in the search bar drop-down list that opens when you start typing search terms.

D800 file compatibility: Has anyone experienced problems with loading D800 files onto the iPad using the camer connector kit? I have tried both RAW and JPEG using SDHC and CF cards and the iPad(3) doesnt recognise any of the files.

Has anyone experienced problems with downloading Nikon D800 files to the iPad3 using the camer connector kit? I have tried .RAW and JPEG (of various sizes) on both SD and CF cards, but the iPad doesn't recognise the files.
I have seen various forums discussing Lightroom and PSE updates that are required to process .NEF files but I can't find anything on the iPad/camera connector issue.
I dont have any problem if I put the SD card straight into the SD slot in my iMac and Aperture will process the files fine, but I would really like to be able to download and view files on the move on the iPad.
Any advice appreciated?
PS - saw something that suggested the iPad had a maximum file size of 16mb for photos, not sure if this is correct, but I have tried smaller JPEG files and they still aren't recognised.

If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, it may be necessary to use both modes to import all media content.
If some files do not import as expected using one mode, try switching to the other mode and importing again.
Note: Some cameras may refer to PTP as Pictbridge or PTP/Pictbridge.

Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
          8.8.8.8
          8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
          Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist.

The app has been deleted from everywhere !

If the app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You don't have a copy of it in your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads/library so that you can sync it back to your phone ?

Experiencing problems with workflow- validate step

I am experiencing problems with workflow->validate step in Hyperion FDM.
I am not able to export unmapped dimension members to Excel.
Earlier everything worked fine.
But now all of a sudden it has become a serious problem.
when I click Export to Excel,processing starts and it's never coming to an end.
Every thing is getting stuck up.
Could any one suggest solution to this as it is delaying my deliverable.

Try opening excel first, then doing the export from FDM.

OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

Do Not post stuff about how Airplay doesnt work, because i dont have Apple TV and dont need to hear about it.

If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

Anyone experiencing problems with USB2.0 accessories failing to be compatible with mini's USB3 connections.

I am being informed by the manufacturer's Customer Support Technician in reference to where their USB2.0 device is being referred to as a possible cause of incompatability with my mini's USB3 connection, and I quote: "They are supposed to be "backwards compatible" but some users devices are working fine with those ports for periods of time (months, weeks, days) and then just mysteriously not working one day, so be cautious of trusting Apple's marketing." and he further suggests using a USB2 hub to be compatible. Because of this incompatability this device ( $200 plus tax,) is being rendered inoperable for the the main facility for which I purchased it.
I'd be pleased to hear reactions from others on the validity of this claim and whether it is or should be incumbent on manufacturers of devices that are produced solely for use with Apple products that they should at least be compatible ( USB3 ) with those products and especially if it is known that the use of USB2 can create problems. I had no sooner posted, and I had second thoughts about third party "routers". I happen to be using the Bell Fibe TV system and their receivers, I have three, operate similar to routers in that they operate in conjunction with each other. If you set up a recording on one that recording will also appear on the other two. And it so happens that the device I am experiencing problems with happens to be attached to one of those receivers and it happens to prevent that receiver from making a recording that is separate from the recordings made by the PVR in that receiver.

I had been having a similar problem on Lion with Safari pdf files despite downloading the latest Adobe Reader XI.
I would constantly get the same messages - There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. And I would get a blank page when I tried to print the pdf if I tried printing from the Safari web page using File - Print from the top toolbar on my laptop.
Then I came across the grey Safari lozenge with action icons.
This allowed me, without downloading the pdf, to print the pdf file direct from the Safari page by using the Print icon on the grey lozenge that appears centrally three quarters down the screen.
Then I discovered that if I save the pdf using the Save icon from this same grey lozenge on the Safari page I can open and print this pdf version from my desktop.
I've tested it with a couple of different pdf files and these methods work using the grey lozenge icons but the same pdfs files don't work using File - Save As on the Tool Bar.
