Is any one using Bootcamp and JAWS (screen reader)

I gave my roommate my MacMini Solo. We've installed Windows Home on it and JAWS 10 (Latest version. I don't know the version number other then it's 10.)
He is having some problems with JAWS. JAWS isn't always reading the full screen to him, or it will not let normal functions for him to work (alt-E for example).
Is anyone out there using Bootcamp with JAWS that can help? I am wondering that JAWS doesn't work right under the Intel video drivers.

I personally don't use JAWS, but according to this thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2332504&tstart=60 at least on other person uses it successfully on a Mac Mini.
Are you using a USB-wired keyboard or a wireless on on the Mini ?
When opening the Device Manager in Windows (Control Panel - System - Hardware tab) are there any devices with a yellow exclamation mark shown ?
Did you used the OSX install DVD to install Apple BootCamp Drivers and did you update them afterwards with the avaiable Driver Updates from Apples website ?

Just to make certain, you inserted the original installation disk and started the MBP holding down the C key? Did the Optical drive reject the disk or did it just spin? If the former, the lens in the drive may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. If the latter, you will have to take it to an Apple repair facility.

Hi Karen,
It seems to me that because the decision point happens before the tabular form is rendered (via the tree right?) you don't really need a "On Change" DA.
I think you either need find the hms field c030, which could be hidden or visible, as depending on that value go hide or show the hms_info field.
You'll want to do this either on Page Load or After Refresh or both, it depends on how the tabular form gets refreshed.
Your DA On Load would be
Event: Page Load
Action: Javscript Code
The code:

This code will find ALL your hms fields. if the field has a N then we go up to the TR, find the hms_info and hide it.
If your page refreshes on every row and the Y/N values don't change after the page loads then you're done!

After installing Lion my time machine using a Time capsule backups take a very long time, particularly indexing the back up, does any one know why and a fix?

I have installed Lion over Snow Leopard and noticed a marked increase in the time it takes my time capsule/time machine to back up. It seems to spend a very long time indexing the back up. Does any one know why and more importantly is there a "fix"?

The first index with Lion takes a very long time. Could take over 10 hours. You just have to wait. You can see the progress by opening Console and entering backupd in the search box

JAWS Screen Reader and Chat Window in AdobeConnect

Hello, I recently hosted a webinar for a group of people with disabilities from around the world. I noticed that the blind and low vision participants were not participating in the chat window and followed up with one of them afterwards. A participant from India who uses JAWS screen reading technology said:
"I didn’t face much of accessibility issues, but somehow I couldn’t use the Chat Window. As you had made me aware, I understand, that it should have been accessible with JAWS, but somehow, I couldn’t use it. May be, it is accessible with an upgraded version of JAWS."
Is there a certain version of JAWS that users must have in order to be compatible with the Chat window feature? Or might it have been user error? Let me know if there are any tips that we can give to future webinar attendees, as we often have participants with various disabilities. Thank you!

It really isn't a well thought out 'gesture' when a normal scroll action can result in an unwanted zoom but disabling SmartZoom wasn't an option for me—one of those with eyes that tire easily when reading very small text on a 27" display.
For a while I used command-+ and command-'-' to read small text but that isn't supported in some apps and for Safari it often leaves the browser in an less than perfect state when moving to the next page. I also tried option scroll to zoom the whole display but that was not desirable, either.
I finally settled on leaving SmartZoom enabled and remembering to double tap with one finger whenever the undesired zoom happens. It happens so often that the double tap is almost a reflex action for me.

Should one use MPIO and/or CSV in a Windows 2012 R2 guest cluster using VMware ESXi 5.5 presented Fiber LUN RDMs.
If MPIO were implemented is there a preference for HW manufacturer DISM vs. MS DISM in a guest cluster?
What partition size/offset is recommended for the MSR partition (currently set to 1000 MB) - unfortunately seeing storage validation error with failing block write at block 2048 (which in return may be related to VMware ESXi 5.5. disk partition layout)
The current setup works without using MPIO (question is would it help overcome the current failing persistent SCSI-3 reservation warning.)
What were the benefit of using CSV if any in a guest cluster? The Luns in scope would eventually hold SQL data and log files.

Regardless of what type of the shared storage is failover cluster have to use the shared storage, the shared storage can redirect the failed node data to others node, accordingly
the failover cluster can get the high availability.
From you descripted error there must you choose the VMware® unsupported storage with failover cluster, please refer the following VMware® official KB then reconfirm your topology
design is supported.

Can't see the link but if you mean their leather-ette patch that covers the wrist rest then yes (and the microfibre cloth).
I have a white Macbook and it has kept it clean, means that the little lip between the top of the case and the sides does not irritate me and is nice and comfortable.

Not too common with G4 PowerBooks as they have an internal modem. I can't find Apple's sepcs but a third-party ad shows it minimally needs 10.4.3 or higher and a G-series processor. That should work.
However, the Apple version is expensive used. I googled Apple MA034 external modem and found an Amazon page that showed other compatible modems that were much cheaper.

OK, thanks to Peter Hanusiak, and Oracle Consulting consultant in Slovakia, I have resolved my issue and I'm hoping that the same solution may apply for you. See below for the instructions from Peter that helped me out. Note that since our applications are different, the specific libraries and locations that you need to confirm compatibility for may be different.

I had similar problem. And in my case it was caused by different ADF from JDev and SOA Suite and SOA order booking demo.
Because I can't test it now, I'll tell just what I remember.
In SOADEMO is somewhere folder SOADEMO-CLIENT\UserInterface\public_html\WEB-INF\lib
where you can find
adf-faces-impl.jar
jsf-impl.jar
Try to find exactly the same libs in Jdev and copy&paste from Jdev to SOADEMO folder. then find the libs in SOASuite, and copy&paste from Jdev to SOA Suite those libs. Restart SOA Suite. Deploy Soademo-Client. And hopefully it will work.
