Is anybody NOT having a problem with G2 touch's WiFi connection?

I am disappointed that after eagerly anticipating the "Lets Rock" event and the release of a new iPod Touch, with the intention of purchasing one now, it seems that from this and other forums there is a major problem with the WiFi on the Gen 2. There are several threads reporting that the new G2 Touch will not connect to the internet via WiFi using WPA secure networks and this is putting me of buying at the moment which is very frustrating.
However, before I am aware that people often only post here if they are having problems with an Apple product and not if they are not, so before casting judgement and deciding not to buy I would like to know whether this issue is affecting all of the new G2 Touch's.
So...is anyone NOT having any WiFi problems and finding that they are able to connect easily to WPA/2 secured networks and routers?
I hope so as I was so looking forward to getting a Touch, but I won't yet if there is a definite fault with the G2.

have had no repies as yet so i thought of a new approach , thus i also cannot connect to my linksys54gs router (no problem with psp or xbox) and would like some help /advise from those in the know,after tapping blue arrow for wifi and choosing the regognised network my touch asks for ip address

That is incorrect. Either you misread or the newspaper you read was wrong. iOS 6.1.2 fixes a bug that caused excessive activity and log entries with Exchange servers.

Anyone NOT having Keyboard problems with newer MBP!

After reading about all the keyboard problems on the newer MBPs, is there anyone NOT having keyboard lockups or dropping letter problems? Looking to purchase a MBP soon but after reading about the many keyboard problems I will probably postpone or decide to get a different machine.

There might be a couple of things to try. You could borrow an external keyboard to use for a while--or even buy a cheap one used, and see if you still have problems or not. If you don't, there's likely a problem with the MBP keyboard itself.
Also, if you have access to an Apple Store, you might be able to make an appointment with the genius bar and get a definite diagnosis. It may be possible to arrange to get in a replacement keyboard at the Apple Store and have them fix it while you wait. Don't know for sure if that would be possible, but it's worth asking. Same with an Apple authorized repair shop--it might be possible to get it fixed without having to send it off.

Is there anyone who is not having a problem with their Fascinate?

Just ordered the Fascinate for a penny from Amazon. Looks like that's all it's worth! LOL. Is there anyone who has not had problems with this phone! I have not received mine yet, maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones.
Should I do the update or stick with 2.1? Do I have a choice?

2.2.1 is Froyo. The phone originally shipped with 2.1 Eclair. What is your Build number? I'm assuming it is not the ED04 (which you should avoid at all costs) since you were prompted to update.
Edit: Also, I don't know if it works the same way on the Fascinate, but on the Droid X (running unrooted stock software) you could only postpone the update for a certain period of time and then it would force the update without your approval. Broke a lot of people's X's that were previously running fine. Hope that doesn't happen to you but just letting you know it's possible.

I've problem with my Iphone regarding wifi connection.

I've updated my iPhone 4 to 6.0.1. Since then the problems are started:
1. Every time I'm entering the password for my home wifi connection. It is not connecting automatically. I've done network reset and enable the http to "auto" in wifi properties. The problem still the same :-( help me out from this horrible situation. Entering the password every time if I go out n coming back or if I put "off" wifi n then again "on".
2. iPhone is not vibrating :-(. I kept my phone in vibrating mode but it is not vibrating. I don't know what has occurred to iPhone:-(

I had a similar issue with our new iPhone 5's over the weekend. I ended up needing to power cycle my router, as my laptop was having problems connecting also. How it ended up that the router would have issues right when we got these new phones is beyond me, but that's what did it. See if that helps.

HT1541 anybody else having a problem with gifting, ie. receiver not receiving?

I have gifted two tv season packages, (Friends 1-5 and 6-10). The first gift was not received, but Apple support sent the redeem code. The second gift was not received, (yes, I resent, resent to myself . . .), Apple Support basically told me how to redeem the gift, however this cannot be done without a code. Now I am hearing nothing from Apple Support. Am I missing something that is right in front of me or the recipient? Thanks

This is an issue with Yahoo!, not an issue with the iOS Devices, no matter the software version of the device. One way you can confirm if this issue is with Yahoo! is to check your other E-Mail providers. I have done this, my Gmail and Outlook all work fine. Contact Yahoo!, Apple only allows the ability to put the E-Mails on the phone, they are not responsible for the behavior in which Yahoo! operates.

Trouble closing Firefox, not having the problem with my 2 other browsers

For some time, I have trouble closing Firefox. When I try to close it a message appears: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. Not related top your question, but you should reset your user agent string (identifies the version of Firefox). You appear to be using Firefox 3.6.12 but it is identifying itself as Firefox 2.0.0.20. For details of how to do this see [[Websites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser]].

I cannot open messages in Hotmail. I am not having this problem with Safari so it seems like it's Firefox. Also With Firefox I am having no trouble with other email accounts.

I can get into my hotmail account and messages are coming in but I can't open them or delete them.

The first thing to check is to make sure that your iPad is up to date on its software by going to Settings > General > Software Update. If all looks good, then go through the troubleshooting in the article below for more options on resolving the issue. Also ask the person you are trying to reach is up to date on their software as well.

I'm having a problem with device capture

I'm having a problem with device capture. I connect my Sony HC-90 via firewire. I can start the capture process in Premier 4 but then all control freezes.

No. If the EQ ison, the iPhone will use the EQ setting you assigned in iTunes. It will use only the preset EQ. If you have a custom setting or do not have an EQ setting, it will not be used and will use the setting on the iPhone.

Did you meet any other call delay when you using Lync?
As the issue happen for Lync desktop client, it can be performance issue. Please check if there is any error message from FE Server when the issue happen.
Also please check if you have updated Lync Server to the latest version, if not, update it and then test again.

No. You are the only one. The way I know is that I don't have the problem, therefore no one else can have it.
Seriously, no matter what problem you have, with a half billion iPhones in use, someone else will have the same or similar problem. So knowing that doesn't help solve it in the slightest. As it's new and still in warranty I would take it to an Apple store. Make a genius bar appointment first so you won't have a long wait.

Hi Pete. The repair of disk permissions can help resolve any application crashing or misbehaving.
As for Lion and the two camps, I think that is a reasonable observation. In my office we have about a dozen Mac's and about one third of those Mac's had problems after updating from 10.6 to 10.7. The main problem for these Mac's was a loss of wifi stability. But for the other two-thirds, Lion was a smooth transition.
Personally, my Lion experience was fine. But I did get a new i7 MacBook Pro with Lion already installed and only had to migrate my user data from a 10.6.8 TM backup.
So I think that is a key for Lion's operational success. A clean install of Lion on a new Mac would not cause too many operational issues. But an installation, or more correctly, an update to Lion from SL increased the chances of failure for some users - especially when old software & plugins resided on the Mac. And I would say that they were the people that you saw at the Apple store.
As for the "latest release of Lion fixed my problems" statement, my experience with these and other forums is that people mostly only go there to complain about the problems they are having. If they are having no problems then they either keep it to themselves or they try to help the users who are experiencing trouble...
