Is anyone able to scan with an HP 3055 all-in-one using Leopard

MY hp3055 all in one will not scan with Leopard. HP support says I should wait until "sometime in the future" Any ideas?

Two options:
If the 'TWAIN' driver for the scanner is working, then with scanner connected (and powered on), run "Applications" -> "Image Capture" (standard with OS X). Image Capture just generically looks for TWAIN devices and uses them.
The other option:
You might check to see if VueScan supports it. They claim to support over 750 different flatbed scanners. You can see the list here:

VueScan isn't free (I don't think I paid very much for it -- it was probably about $25-30) but you can download it and it'll operate in 'trial' mode (it puts a watermark pattern over everything you scan until you register it) but you can at least see if it recognizes your scanner before you pay for it.
I use it because I was relying on an ancient flatbed scanner for which the manufacturer no longer even made the drivers -- and it was able to recognize and use the scanner with no problem.

Hi , and I see you are both having trouble scanning after upgrading to Windows 10, and I may be able to help. Most products do have updated software available on HP's support website for Windows 10. I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too. HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive. Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? Scanning with an HP 3390 all-in one laser jet printer using Windows 7 pro (64 bit)

I have recently acquired a Dell Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) OS computer and was wanting to use my HP all-in-one laser jet 3390 printer and scanner. The printer software which came with my HP 3390 will work with my Wind 7 Pro OS computer, however my HP 3390 scanner function will not work using this HP driver software, with my Win 7 Pro OS. I am trying to locate the appropriate HP scanner and/or different printer drivers that will support both the printer AND scanner functions of my HP 3390 printer/scanner, while using my Windows 7 Pro OS computer. Within the HP website, I have not been able to find this type of driver software or support, as least listed as such? I was wondering, if there are maybe no dedicated or described scanner drivers for my situation, is there even another set of drivers which might be intended for other Window 7 Pro OS based computers and other HP printer/scanners, which would work for my situation as well? Does anyone have a solution to resolve this issue via HP driver software or by another method...maybe even 3rd party? Ther has to be a solution?

Computer is unable to communicate with printer Officejet J4680c All in One using wireless setting.

I received a message while I reinstalling software and driver to change from usb conection to wireless conection: Your laptop is unable to communicate with your printer (Officejet J4680c All in One. This may be caused by firewall software. If you are using firewall software, verify that UDP port is unblocked for both inbound and outbound trafic. But I don't know how to verify that option in my computer. While I reinstalled software I turn off firewall software in my computer. Can some one help me to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Could I have help to scan with HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One

I have recently bought a Mac laptop and tried printing via the USB cable, which has been fine, but I wanted to scan something recently and it didn't work. I have lost the original CD that came with the printer.
I am not sure if I need to download a driver or software, or whether it is already installed on the Mac, or whether its related to something else?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669, the driver should already be included with Snow Leopard. You could download the driver from HP just to make sure yours is current, but how is scanning not working?

Thanks for reporting the issue. There are few ways you can do scanning from the Printer
1. Make sure you downloaded latest HP software and installed it.
2. From PC, launch HP printer application (Start->Program files-HP->printer model->Hp Model series) or the solution center and double click scan link to do scanning
OR
3. Any third party applications like Paint program, click file and choose insert the image from scanner.
4. If it is connected via network, then you can use your browser to make scan, Here is the video

Is the printer connected to your PC by USB or network?
By using USB connection, you may scan using the Windows Fax and Scan software integrated into your OS.
Scanning through a network connection unfortunately supported on Windows7 32 bit only, as you may find listed within the About network scanning section below:

Anyone able to help with Galaxy S5 WiFi issues?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and ever since I bought it (Purchased on releasing day), the WiFi connection is horrible.
To be more specific, the WiFi works perfectly when using the web browser, however, almost all of my applications that require internet connection such as facebook, youtube, imdb, snapchat, and various email application hardly work at all. I don't know if it's the applications themselves because applications like my mobile banking app, pandora, and my GPS application (Waze) all work just fine with no issues at all.
I googled it and found a few posts with somewhat similar issues which lead me to going into my WiFi settings and changing it from DHCP to static. However, it didn't help. I also went into my router and changed the channel, but it still didn't help.
If you have experience in this area or know of anything I can do to fix it, please feel free to explain.

unsuccessful. She is quite frustrated... after all i did have her leave tmobile to switch to verizon
and now she has had nothing but issues that hse never ever had with tmobile. ive bee with verizon for years.
i just dont get it!

How do I scan a picture in 10.6.8 with an HP 1510xi All-In-One

i am unable to access my HP 1510xi All-In-One to scan a picute, either with Image Capture or Preview. HPs web pages insist the scanning software is built in to Snow Leopard. Image Capture does not find the device and it does not show up in the -File>Import from Scanner- pull-down. Any information tp solve this problem would be appreciated

I don't have Lion, but Image Capture works for my HP PhotoSmart All-in-one.
Often scanning from the scanner is only supported for Windows, not Mac's
VueScan would probably also work, there is a free trial.

Unable to do mobile printing with HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-one J610a (CH376D)

I have a 3050 All-in-one J610a which I am using for about an year now.
In the beginning I was able to print/scan using HP app (probably HP home & Biz) on my iPhone4 but for past few months i didn't use it but kept updating the app to the latest versions. Now, I have tried all HP apps available on itunes App Store but none of the apps are able to detect my printer even though my windows laptops (running windows XP and Win7) are connected with the printer over wireless network and printing seamlessly.
I know my printer is not eprint or AirPrint compatible but am just trying for a regular wifi print sitting within the same network. After wasting about 6-8 hours trying to find a solution, I am posting this. Please help with any clues/ suggestions?
P.S. I am running iOS 6.0 on my iphone 4.

You're right. I have tried everything like Hp Eprint, HP Printer Control etc. but it is just not able to find my printer. I tried ePrint Free from microtech and that provides an option to connect to a printer by entering it's IP and I was able to connect. But then this free app has very limited usability so can't rely on it completely.

Scan Control from HP 1210 All in one Printer/Scanner

I now have Macbook with OS 10.6.8.
Used to have 10.4.11
We have an HP 1210 All in one printer/scanner.
With 10.4 there was a very clear and user friendly utility provided by HP that enabled good scan control.
It enabled multiple choices of destination filetype and multiple pages scanned into a single document.
Now I have 10.6.
I have done S/W update both with printer connected and disconnected.
I have been offered and have downloaded the latest version of s/w from HP.
Nowhere on my Mac is there a file that has any name like HP, Hewlett Packard or PSC or 1210
The utility is there somewhere because I can print, and, if I have the printer active, I can use the utility to check ink levels etc.
However the ONLY scan facility is the Mac IMage Capture.
This only does single pages and only scans to jpeg.
What do I have to do to get my full scan control facility back and active as provided by HP

I Have just done a test using the SystemPreferences Printer area and get sent to the Image capture function.
So, that was after clicking the Scan tab in System Preferences > Print & Fax? It's most likely using the HP Software that you noted downloading in your original post. It is not using some phantom software.
I want to be able to save a multiple page document file in .pdf format.
I use Acrobat Professional to scan as PDF with a Brother multifuction device that is equiped with a 30 page auto document feeder (ADF). Since the HP 1210 is a flat-bed scanner, it seems that your wish can be achieved by scanning and saving each page as separate documents and then combining those documents. I cannot remember whether Apple Preview in 10.6.x offers combining PDFs but there are a number of freeware and shareware apps that can.
Is there a conversion capability that would convert from .jpeg to .pdf
Apple Preview, Adobe Photoshop, GraphicConverter are just a few apps that come to mine.
