Is anyone else experiencing battery life issues due to iOS 8.1.3?
I know this may seem ridiculous but after having updated my iPhone 6, 64 GB to iOS 8.1.3, yesterday January 27, I noticed my battery isn't lasting anywhere near as long as it was before this.
Usually the way I use my phone by 5pm every evening, I have at least 65 - 70% battery life, today I'm at 44% and know for sure I've used it less than usual, which is why I came here.
I want to thank everyone who replies in advance.
I just started to google experiences from others today, as since upgrading three mobiles from 8.1.2 -> 8.1.3 (iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 Plus) all of them suddenly died overnight.
Charged this morning all from 0% -> 100% and still things don't seem to be correct anymore. Based on below pictures the phones don't go to standby anymore? I haven't used at all iPhone 5 nor iPhone 5s today whereas I made some calls with iPhone 6 Plus. All of mobile were unplugged at 100% same time this afternoon.
First time this has happened, in case the mobiles, ALL of them, suddenly start to behave like this.

Is anyone else experiencing screen activation issues during calls?
I got my iPhone in the first batch from VF. Since then I have not experienced any of the issues reported as common faults such as the signal loss - however, I have a new one - the screen on the phone activates itself after a length of time (sometimes a while into a call, sometimes after only a couple of minutes) - this means, when I am happily chatting away the screen activates and my face is happily touching all the buttons on the screen - majority of the 'end call' button! At first I thought I was going crazy, maybe it was me holding it funny, but now I know I'm not!
After doing a bit of googling a few o2 users have reported this issue too - does anyone else have this problem?
Its very irritating. For example, last night I was on the phone to my partner, and the call ended twice - the first time I actually managed to type out a very garbled email to someone!!It's the proximity sensor, and there are hundreds of posts on here about it. It's not affecting every device, so make an appointment with an Apple Genius, pop instore and get it swapped out.

The new update is killing my phone faster than before. Is there a way to fix this problem? I have shut off my location setting and lowered the brightness and shut wifi off when not at home.

Since updating my iPhone my battery doesent last a day and I'm not recieving alot of texts sent by people on iMessenger.
Never had this problem before and not using my phone anymore than normal.I'm having no problem.

Once I updated to the latest version of Premiere 2014.2 I started experiencing a glitch when my cuts would slip a frame or two. At first it was randomly. Then I had footage I was using that was an .avi file that I converted to .m4v using vlc and now in my Premiere project, are having the greatest difficulty keeping my original cut that I create in my source monitor. When I bring it into my timeline, the new frames are added. When I double click the clip into my source monitor, I see that my original cuts remain, not shifted. Looking back in my timeline, unwanted frames are still there. I have to bring it into my source monitor to guess where the right frame would be to compensate for this. It happens more often with the converted files but still happens to .mp4s as well. I am using a Mac Pro 15-in from Early 2011. Thanks for the advice in advance!
I downloaded and installed the latest iTunes 11.2.1 (1) update yesterday. It appears to have corrected this issue to a large extent: plugging in an iThing to sync no longer seems to cause explosive growth in memory footprint. leaks reports a much slower growth in dead memory:
leaks -nocontext -nostacks iTunes | grep total
Process 27307: 353 leaks for 726488 total leaked bytes.
20 minutes later:
leaks -nocontext -nostacks iTunes | grep total
Process 27307: 364 leaks for 1256056 total leaked bytes.
20 minutes later, after DLing updated apps and doing another sync:
leaks -nocontext -nostacks iTunes | grep total
Process 27307: 364 leaks for 1256056 total leaked bytes.
Memory allocation started at 70Mb, grew to 200Mb, and appears to have stabilized there.
I'm going to keep an eye on it overnight, but it looks as if this may not be a complete system killer as it was before, at least in my case. In any case, I can highly recommend this latest iTunes update for anyone else experiencing this specific issue. Updating bug 16772016 with this new information. -
When I got a new iPhone5, I experienced short battery life, and system sofware issues were not the cause. The camera also takes a blury picture regardless of lighting and I have the black one. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
What makes you so sure it isn't software?
The camera can be focused by take the point of focus on the touch screen.
If it is new as you said, it should be under warranty. Make a Genius Bar appointment or contact Apple with a repair request. -
Is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing shorter battery life for their iphon4 since the update to ios5?
Yes, I just switched from the 3GS to the 4S and My battery life is a lot shorter! wasn't sure if it is because it was trying to reload all my music or not

For some reason, the battery in my iPad 2 , ioa 7.1.2m has stopped charging. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how did you remedy it, please ?
Batteries do have a finite life span.
That said there have been some users reporting battery issues but but there's no way to know what or why or how it happens.
You can try a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
If you have spares, you can try to swap out your charger and cable, just to see if there's any difference with them changed.
Another thing you can try is a restore. That's basically where you back it up and then restore it from a backup. (something to do a bit more research into if you plan to do it).
if you don't want to do that then you can make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. -

I've been trying to download the photoshop free trial for the past three days but instead of installing a message saying "We are currently experiencing some issues, please try again later. My older mac book pro and iMac are both running 10.6.8 and both have started running safari and email VERY slowly. My new mac book pro running 10.9 is having no issues. Is anyone else experiencing these issues?
No noticeable speed differences running the four latest OSs on my machine.

I have a ReadyNas NV+ which I use as NAS storage. I make a lot of home movies in iMovie 11 (mostly family movies of my daughter growing up) which fills up my local HDD fairly quickly. I setup iMovie 11 when I was using Snow Leopard to connect to my NAS as an additional disk in the event library and project. I would move events and projects after I finalized and shared them to the NAS disk in iMovie so it would both clear up space on my local HDD but still be available in the iMovie 11 application.
After I upgraded to Lion, I can no longer see the NAS disk in either the project library or event library. I'm concerned if I have created a condition where I won't be able to access the projects and events which I moved to the NAS disk when I upgraded to Lion. Has anyone else experienced this issue and has anyone else found a solution to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Did that work for you? I was looking at that too, but was discouraged by having to use a sparsebundle given Snow Leopard had such great NAS support.
FYI to everyone else, I upgraded my ReadyNAS firmware to 4.1.8. NetGear indicated the following updates with the nre firmware, but it didn't fix this problem:
New features and enhancements

2. Added warning when NFS access to home shares is enabled.
3. Added a redirect for http://<host>/ip to https.
4. Added enhancements to advanced AFP permission settings.

Some people reported success with the terminal command:
defaults write -app iMovie allowNV -bool true
But apparantly, after the Lion update, fewer people reported success with it. Still looking though... If anyone else has more symptoms to add, please let me know. I might try to use a sniffer program and see if I can pull a packet capture. That might reveal some info....
On another note, has anyone had any problems connecting to their Time Capsule in the same fashion? I had an idea of connecting a USB Raid Array to it and connecting through the TC, but wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts or experience with that.... Thanks. -
Is anyone else experiencing password issues? Every few weeks I have to reset mine and I'm writing them down!
If you are receiving repeated password reset e-mails, there are two possibilities.
One is that they are simply phishing e-mails. Do not click on any links in those e-mails, and do not respond to them in any way.
The other is that someone is trying to hack your Apple ID. You can prevent that by enabling two-factor authentication:

This will prevent anyone from even attempting a password reset without entering a special code that only you will have, and should keep in a very safe place. -
After installing IOS 5.1, I am unable to double click the home button and access the camera. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does a fix or work aroud exist?
I just updated--my Camera is a disaster. Yes, I know how to turn (and position) the Camera now. However, every photo I take is UPSIDE DOWN in the Camera Roll OR Photo Stream. Even worse, a number of my Apps (Weather Underground, for example) are ALSO now upside down. Has anyone here experienced these serious orientation problems after this update? I've read the 'Manual' and its as if it doesn't exist. However, if I leave the Apple site, customer complaints about orientation abound...
This is my first time posting here about an issue (well, the same issue - I posted last week about the Camera, and no one responded). Any advice at all about how to get this corrected is much appreciated!

Photoshop and Illustrator updates fail using Adobe Application Manager, why and what can I do?
In the Adobe Application Manager, it says there are updates for both Photoshop and Illustrator. When I click to update, they both downloaded and attempted to install and in the middle of this process, Application Manager shows that the updates fail.
