Is anyone else getting error "PersistentGroupContainer.cpp-279"?

Hello,
I've been working on a documentary for the last 4 months and just recently Premiere Pro CC has started crashing while doing the most basic of editing. Any time I copy and paste a clip or when I simply drag some clips to different spot on the timeline Premiere crashes.
The crash error that comes up every time ends with "...PersistentGroupContainer.cpp-279" (image attached). I can't seem to find any information about it, anywhere!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I spent the last 3.5 hours chatting with Adobe about the problem and they unfortunately could not resolve the issue. The case has been elevated to another level of support but I thought I would try here as they say it can take 48 hours to follow up. I have done all of the basic type fixes, clearing caches, repairing permissions, reinstalling Premiere, etc... still no luck!

Hi, have you been able to right-click on any of your clips on your timeline(s) without the system crashing with that error message? I'm unable to begin seeing which clips need to be ungrouped before I'm locked out.
I'm imagining you had to go clip by clip guessing which clips were grouped in order to ungroup any that were affected?

Anyone else getting ERROR MSG 502?

Haven't been able to connect to iTunes store for 2 weeks or so now... everything was peachy-keen before that. Have tried all suggestions on forum and support sites, all to no avail. This is on my work computer, so I'm not sure if something was recently added/updated/etc. by our tech people.
The error message reads: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occured (502)."

If it works at home, it's likely something to do with security, networking software, virus protection, firewalls etc issued by your work. If you have the ability to disable or configure any of that, it may help. This may give you some answers:

Anyone else getting error 2005?

I'm having the same kind of problems that everyone else seems to be having installing the new upgrade, but most people seem to be getting an error of 6.
Anybody else getting an error 2005?
I plug in my touch and try to upgrade, it extracts the software OK, goes through the "preparing ipod for restore" box and then stops with an unknown error (2005).
If I try to restore to factory settings, it just does the same thing. However, I can get it back to the old version on my Windows XP machine with iTunes. I would try to upgrade there, but it seems like it wants me to purchase the upgrade again!

Since you purchased the 2.0 upgrade on your Mac, you can move the file to your PC and try the upgrade there.
The upgrade file is named iPod1,12.0_5A347Restore.ipsw and on your Mac is stored in
<your home directory>/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
You'll want to move this to your PC and place it in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
(you may have to create the iPod Software Updates folder)
After you copy the file, plug in your iPod touch to your PC, and iTunes will offer to Install 2.0 without charge.

Anyone else getting errors when importing Music Library music into non-native apps?

I have had a bunch of Music Production apps On my iPad for a long time and all the way through iOS four iOS 5 they worked just fine importing songs from my iPod library on my iPad and my iPhone however all of a sudden after the iOS six update they do not any longer seem to have the ability to import these songs. It appears to be a universal problem across ALL non-native apps ... On songs that are DRM-Free. I have specifically tried importing tracks that have imported before with no problems, downloading new copies of the same tracks, and purchasing new DRM-free content in the iTunes Store. None of which will work. My devices are not jailbroken, or altered from factory in any way, I just purchased a new iPhone 5 and a new iPad 3 and neither of them are allowing me to import these tracks. I have tried:
AnyTune / AnyTune HD
Vocalive (paid version) from IK Multimedia
Amplitube / Fender Amplitube from IK Multimedia
ISequence Pro HD
Studio HD
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I have -- on a few apps -- been shown the "Convert this song to a different format and try again" dialog, and I can import songs if I use my laptop and a browser, but I can't seem to import any song directly from the Music Library stored locally on my iPad or my iPhone.

Well, if iTunes is running, I figured out that you can drag the folder where the wav files are directly onto the main portion of the iTunes screen. This will
import the wav files into iTunes. Then group select the new song
entries and use "convert selection to AAC" from the Advanced menu.
There may be a way to convert without creating double entries for the
songs (I think that's the way you have to do it in iTunes: hence my attitude that iTunes is convenient in some respects, but less than clear in other respects..in other words, it's not a perfect program), but I delete the wav tracks after the conversion.
This is what I've gleaned from using iTunes a bit and from having been advised by friends. So, other than using a third-party freeware like X Lossless Decoder to convert music files before moving them onto iPod, apparently this is what you have to deal with when using the iTunes program.
If any Apple people are reading this, I would personally like the iTunes "importing" and display functions to be clearer and less cumbersome to use (like that third-party freeware). iTunes seems to be easy enough to use if you're importing music from a CD, but measurably less so if you just want to convert music files residing elsewhere on the computer's hard drive.

If you check for software updates using the App Store in OS X 10.8 and get "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100" the problem may be with your Software Update preferences. This is particularly likely if you were using a custom Apple Software Update server. To solve the problem, quit the App Store, move the following two files (if present) to the trash, restart, and only then rerun App Store updates:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist.lockfile

I was recently trying to upgrade to mountain lion through the app store. I have unreliable Internet from a cable company whom I will not name, but we all know who they are. My Internet dropped while downloading the upgrade. Once I went through the notorious unplug the modem/router and plugged it back in to gain Internet connectivity again, I could not resume. No matter what I did, the app store kept displaying "an error occurred." I am hoping that those with the same issue read this first to save them hours of skimming through the Internet to find a solution. Here are the steps to take:
1. Make sure you have reestablished Internet connection
2. Chances are you got frustrated when you tried to resume/unpause the download and clicked the "X" to the left. If so, select the "Store" drop-down menu from the App Store and select "View My Account." There should be an option to unhide your purchase. You know what to do.
3. There is also an option to reset all warnings for buying and downloading under "View My Account." Do this, click "Done," sign out of the App Store and quit the App Store.
4. Open the Preferences in safari and select Privacy. Select "Remove All Website Data." Just do it.
5. Launch the app store and sign in.
6. Now, if you "Check for Unfinished Downloads" everything works peachy.
I hope this helps. Not much I can do for your Internet connection though.

Update not available - anyone else getting this problem?

I have LR4 and just clicked 'Check for Updates' and keep getting update check unsucessful and its keeps telling me to check internet connection even though thats working.

That said, Javascript which fails in Safari usually is something that is non-standard since Safari makes a genuine effort to follow http://www.w3.org/ standards. If you encounter a website that doesn't follow these standards, point them to http://www.anybrowser.org/ for guidance on making more uniformly compatible websites. In the meantime there are many other web browsers made for Mac OS X like Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Omniweb, Camino, Internet Explorer, Opera, and iCab. If you find a website that doesn't behave well in Safari, use the Report bug to Apple in the Safari menu. There is a Safari Enhancer which has a User Agent submenu in the Debug menu it enables. That same Debug menu can be enabled from Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal via this command line:

The User Agent specified will spoof certain websites into thinking you are using a different web browser. In the end though, it usually is better to inform webmasters when their website is not accessible.

Anyone else get a NX6800 TD128 with GDDR3?

I did. When I got it back from Rma, I didnt notice the box, i paid more attention to puttin it back in my system so I could be playin again. Last night I noticed it said "128mb DDR3" on the box. So today, I found a program to determine specifications and sure enough, I've got GDDR3 memory. I guess that explains why I can get it up to 350/950. Just curious, did anyone else get GDDR3 on there 6800nu?

Just as the subject says, I was wondering if anyone else getting more than 24 hrs on their rentals? So far I have gotten to play my rented movie for over 24 hours. I checked and the file is still on my hard drive. I assume I am not continuing to pay for this movie, but who knows?

It happened to us with the only movie we've rented so far. I had been fooling around with the iMac remote trying to figure out why I couldn't start the movie with that, when iTunes crashed (a first for me!!). So the next day when I discovered the countdown timer was off, I assumed that crash must have affected the time stamp on it. The movie stayed around for at least 48 hours after we first started it, then disappeared as expected.

I did get a "server busy" message when I loaded quicktime, but I'm not sure if it is related or not since I've been seeing that over the last couple of days, I can't remember if it came before iTunes stopped working or not. That message reads "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'switch to' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." My options then are to choose switch to or retry. When I press "switch to" my Start menu opens, and nothing appears to happen when I select retry.
that's an odd sort of a message (or series of messages).
hmmmmm. let's try an experiment aimed at working out if there's a program interfering with the QuickTime (which is in turn causing grief with your iTunes).
try a selective startup using MSCONFIG, with just the itunes and QuickTime background processes enabled, as per the following document:

Yes, just did and updated without a hitch. I did notice that the AirPort Utility now correctly distinguishes between the generations of the AirPort Extreme ... correctly identifying that I have both a 3rd & 4th generation models. I assume, at this time, it will do the same for the Time Capsule.
