Is anyone else having notifications go crazy after 5.1.1?

Ever since updating the software, I continually get notifications for every appointment in my calendar and every email in my inbox.  This just repeats over and over and over and over.  If anyone had this and figured out how to make it stop, please let me know before I lost my sanity .  iPhone 4S 16GB on Verizon, iOS 5.1.1.
Thanks!

Look in Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor) and see if you have any runaway processes using a lot of %CPU.
I would also strongly recommend running Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode. If it reports errors you can Google them or post them here.

  • Is anyone else having issues with airplay after the Lion update?

Is anyone else having issues with airplay after the Lion update? It sees the libaray but won't connect...

I'm having the same issue.  So far all lion has done for me is make all my microsoft office documents un-readable until I upgrade (about $150) and lose my home share capabilities...can anyone assist with this?

  • Anyone else having "No service" problem after update to 6.1.3? iPhone 4S

I went from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1.3 last week and now I have "No service". Happend right after update. I have done everything I can to try to fix it except restore to earlier iOS, which is not possible with iPhone 4S. My SIM works fine in my older iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.
I have tried to reset all settings, network settings, restore from DFU mode, recover/restore mode. As a fresh phone. NOTHING makes a difference.
Anyone else having this problem? I now have a feeling that I have to pay for it to be fixed (probably just giving me a new phone). All just because I wanted to update my iPhone. This is Apple's fault, not mine. Thank you.

Ok, I had the same issue, my phone is unlocked(iphone 5 with 6.1.3). So I went to the apple store and had it replaced. it worked good for a day and started doing the same thing. When the apple tech replaced my phone, he transfered my screen protector to the new one.
so I thought it was my sim card, I put in my sisters sim card from a different carrier and it did the same, so then I was like let me take off the screen protector, and that was it.
so guys, if you have a screen protector on your phone and it's doing "low signal", "No Service", "Searching", "Full bars cycle" then take off the screen protector. so far my phone is working normal.

  • Anyone else having trouble with Elements after upgrading to Yosemite???

I recently upgraded my Mac to Yosemite and now my Elements 12 is not working correctly!!!!  Anyone else having this issue or have any answers?

I would suggest you trash the prefs file so that they get automatically re-built on next launch.
    Quit PSE12
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following files:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Settings

  • Anyone else having trouble w/ airport after today's update?

Got a message that there was an Airport update today so I downloaded it (unfortunately, I didn't write down what version it was and don't know how to see what I've recently installed). Suddenly an otherwise robust internet connection is plagued with dropouts and slow connections. I get bursts of normal activity followed by bouts of 2-3 minute pauses/timeouts. Airport strength has gone from a consistent "4 bars" to sometimes 3 and the router is only 6 inches away. This has not been a problem until just tonight and I only downloaded and installed the update 4 hours ago so I'm laying the blame diectly at the update's doorstep. I have cycled the power to both the router and modem as well as restarting the Macbook. No luck. Can I somehow rollback the update? Anyone experiencing this issue?

I think the problem is the Airport Uitlity version 5.21. I installed 5.21 on my Windows XP computer. After installing, I got a nice WiFi connection, but I could not obtain a DHCP lease. If I plugged in with a CAT5 connection, I did get a DHCP lease.
I un-installed 5.21, re-installed 5.0 from the CD that came with the Aiport Extreme Base Station, then upgraded to 5.1 from the Apple web site. After that, getting a DHCP lease over WiFi worked again.
I have not tried installing the Airport Utility on my Macbook, since ther are already so many WiFi headaches with the Macbook, I didn't want to add another thing to the mix.

  • Anyone else having issues w/ iMail after Mavericks upgrade?

I upgraded to Mavericks yesterday and now my iMail will not load my gmail right away (takes about 30 min for my inbox to show up) and isn't syncing. Plus even my exchange takes longer to load. What is going on? Didn't they say this upgrade would be painless???

  • Anyone else having problems with Mail after installing Mountain Lion?

Since upgrading to mountain lion, I have had a number of problems with Mail.  At the moment, it is predominantly when my desktop imac goes to sleep overnight. In the morning, it will not receive mail. The app will not close, so I force quit it.  Trying to reopen Mail after that just does not happen, so I have to restart my machine to get things going again. Any tips?

    If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

  • Is anyone else having problems syncing iPod after latest iTunes upgrade?

My iPod will not sync after the iTunes 10.4 upgrade - first it tries to reload every song in my library, then it quits and says 'cannot copy due to duplicate file name' and this is while my iPod colored data bar says all the stuff is still there?

It gets worse!  I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and am trying to synch a Mac Book, MacBook Pro, iphone 4s, and two iPads via iCloud.  I have got a colassal unadulterated mess!
I have now seen as many as 10 duplicates in my various address books and on the web version of icloud.  I tried manually deleting entries from the web version of icloud and somehow lost my wife's contact info.
I have several email accounts and contact lists I am trying to synch, My .mac and .me accounts, a gmail account, a yahoo account, a commercial account.  I also specified twitter and am trying to add facebook.  I also have an MS/Outlook address book on my Mac's that I am trying to synch up.
The way that icloud is handing contacts is just a total disaster.  I've been an IT guy and worked with computers for over 40 years and I'm going nuts trying to figure out the logic of what the heck is going on.
I see a disasterous result of merging data into contacts.  It appears that records that did not match were merged and I have data from multiple contacts in the same record.
As I said, i have as many as 10 (or more) duplicates in the address book, and in some cases I lost entries such as my wife's!.
    What a freaking MESS!

  • Is anyone else having trouble burning CDs after installing Snow Leopard?

I received Snow Leopard plus iLife and iWork for Christmas and installed it on Wednesday. I burned two playlists to four CDs on iTunes Tuesday but today when I tried to do the same things using the exact same discs and the following message popped up on iTunes: "Disc burner or software not found." This is obviously happening because of Snow Leopard or the new iLife and iWork I installed. Any thoughts? How can I fix this? Do I need to install something else to be able to burn discs again? I need help really fast because I need these CDs right away. Thanks.

No to the subject question. However, I've only burned boot discs for DiskWarrior and a Snow Leopard install disc, not music ones. Launch System Profiler in Utilities and select Disc Burning under Hardware. On my iMac it reports:
    *OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5630A:*
    +Firmware Revision: 1AHN+
    +Interconnect: ATAPI+
+Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)+
    +Cache: 2048 KB+
    +Reads DVD: Yes+
    +CD-Write: -R, -RW+
    +DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, RW
    +Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO+
+Media: To show the available burn speeds, insert a disc and choose View > Refresh+
You should see something similar or your burner's gone south and that's a hardware issue.

  • Is anyone else having iPhoto spinning ball after upgrading to the 27''

iPhoto has become really sluggish and clumsy in editing, transiting to the next photo viewing, even sizing the window. All this since changing from the 24 to the 27. No new app/internet/ add-ons. Deleted the iPhoto preferences. Using an ethernet cable rather than wireless (although it is enabled). And yes there is the flash choppy-slowdown and Safari intermittent sluggishness too. I migrated all my previous settings. Finally I know this isn't the iPhoto discussion but thought its inclusion here was justified relative to the new iMac. I'm really relying on the next 10.6 point upgrade as a resolution. Thanks. d

iPhoto seems OK, but iMovie seems very sluggish in my case...

  • Is anyone else having issues with texting after the iOS8, with a iPhone 4s?

The messages app on my iPhone is not responding. I click on the message button and i get a white screen for 30 seconds and then goes back to the home screen.

    Hello, cliffiapp4.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the steps that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.
    Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

  • Anyone else having wi-fi issues after upgrading Macbook Air to Yosemite?

We just upgraded brand new Macbook Air to Yosemite, and are now have the most sluggish internet imaginable.  Any Ideas?

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them; in that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Restart the router and the broadband device, if they're separate. Any change?
Run Software Update and install all available updates for OS X or the computer's firmware. Any change?
Are you connected to Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi? If so, disconnect the Ethernet cable or adapter and test.
If possible, connect to the router with an Ethernet cable and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?
Are any other devices on the network, and if so, are they the same?
If you can connect to more than one network, are they all the same?
Are all network applications affected, or only some? If only some, which ones?
Is networking always the same, or is the problem intermittent?
Disconnect all other devices from the network. Any change?
If you're running a MacBook with the lid closed, open the lid. Any difference?
Start up in safe mode and test. Any difference?
Start up in Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. Any difference?
If possible, turn off Bluetooth and disconnect any USB 3 devices. Any difference?

  • Exchange email will not work after IOS 5.1 update. Anyone else having same problem. Its been three days now I cannot get mail.

Exchange Email not working on Iphone 4S is anyone else having the same problem and is there a fix for this?

    @ w3nitro
I'm having the same issues, except only one of my Exchange accounts took a dive after upgrading to iOS 5.1.  My Gmail account (set up as Exchange) works flawlessly but my native Exchange account (work e-mail) stopped working after the update.
Post update to 5.1:  (work Exchange account) I could view my inbox and view individuals emails in the inbox, but I was unable to send any emails.  Mail started asking for my password after the update (for the affected Exchange account) but once entered, it failed to verify.
I completley removed the Exchange account and rentered all the account settings but again, failure to verify any information.  I was hoping my password might have changed but it did not.  Also, maybe the IT guy at the office (not very bright) changed some settings but the only difference is the new iOS update.
And while playing with the iPhone trying to make it work again, I noticed something really weird.  Old emails (2-3 weeks) from multiple email accounts to include the inop Exchange account started showing up again on the pull down notification menu.  I would clear these out of the notificaion menu but they always kept reapearing; very strange.
