Is anyone else noticed a problem managing pocasts for your Iphone or other device since the last upgrade? When I select podcast to manage those specific to my device Itunes freezes.

My Itunes freezes everytime I try to mangage the Podcasts specific to the device plugged in. All other tabs work fine. apps, photos ect.

I too have same problem which has started in the last week or 10 days. I use Windows 7 (up to date) and latest Itunes and Iphone 4 all up to date

Is anyone else noticing a huge battery disparity between and iPhone 5 on iOS 6 and an iPhone 5S on iOS 7?

I had the iPhone 5 and on iOS 6 I could get the battery to last from around 6 AM to getting around 10% by 9 PM through moderate usage (light web browsing, couple videos, music, games, etc). Then I upgraded to the 5S and had the same usage pattern, using it from 6 AM onwards. I am shocked to report the battery on my new 5S would be absolutely dead by around 5 pm. I turned off parallax effect and background app refresh and nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also recalibrate your battery - let it fully drain to where your phone shuts off and then fully charge it without using it.

If you aren't receiving password reset emails and your security questions don't work, someone has hijacked your account.
This happened to me.
You need to use Expresslane to contact iTunes support to regain access to your account ASAP.

Anyone else noticed this problem ???

I have set my email to fetch every hour in an attempt to save battery, however it fetches and random periods all less than 1 hour !!, i have checked this with other peoples 4s's and all seem to randomly retrieve mail in less than the 1 hour period, despite all being set to fetch, and push disabled. It seems to be that the fetch happens at around the 40min mark.. at best !, often at 10mins !
I really hope apple fix this one, its def not helping the battery if it randomly keeps retrieving mail !, anyone else seen this ?

Did you try different headphones!?
If it's sounding the same thing on different headphones then you might have changed the Left-Right balance
Have a look at Settings -> General -> Accessibility
There's a slider for L-R
If it's in the center then the headphone through which you're facing the problem might be damaged, try twisting the headphone wire of the speaker of the headphone (left or right) where you are encountering less volume.
If it's sounding altogether same on all the circumstances, the headphone jack might be damaged. Get your phone to the Apple Store and book an appointment

Anyone else notice a problem with VLC's interface recently?

I have been using VLC for years without any notable issues. In the past month the interface has gotten very laggy. It takes longer to select menu items, and the time slider bar is so unresponsive to be nearly unusable. All the other programs seem to be working fine. Anyone else have any insight on this?
Here is what I tried so far:
I deleted my ~/.config/vlc folder
I tried downgrading to vlc-2.1.5-3
I checked that video hardware-accelerated decoding is enabled under Tools > Preferences > Input/Codecs
I have Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics with the open source driver.

2.1.5 has been somewhat of a buggy release in general (Inclusion of VDPAU decoding but it doesn't actually work, had some crashes here and there) actually reading that you enabled HW acceleration might be a possible cause. From what I've heard most of these should be fixed in 2.2 and upstream even recommends to update to the 2.2 RC if you are on linux, because they apparently fixed many things (read in a mail announcing the RC release, didn't find that particular mail anymore but yeah)

I am about to throw my new Mac Book Pro 15inch out the window!! Does anyone else have a problem scrolling e-mails!?? I cannot find the scroll bar that disapears with out continually pulling at the bottom right corner to reveal it and then it disappears!!?

Which model MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., "15-inch mid 2012") and which version of OS X are you running? If Mavericks you can go under System Preferences>General and tick the "Show Scroll Bars: Always."

Is anyone else experiencing trouble with removing songs off your iPhone via iTunes?

iTunes 11 is so difficult to work! I can't even access the option to remove songs off my iPhone whilst it's connected to iTunes. Not sure if there's a super complicated way to do it but it's so unconvenient which I really hate. Any solutions? Seeing as I can't contact Apple through email I'm asking the community as they seem to know more about iTunes than the actual company does.

I understand you are having issues syncing your iPhone 5 with iTunes 11, specifically trying to remove songs. I can definitely help, however the answer is going to be based on how you have configured you iPhone to sync.
First, you may want to enable the sidebar to bring back the familiarity of past iTunes versions:

Afterwards, your device should be displayed if connected:
We'll want to click on it, and choose the Music tab at the top. If sync music is checked, which option do we have selected? "Entire Library" or "Selected playlists, artists…" - the latter of which may be best for your needs.

Has anyone else noticed a problem with iOS 7 on the iPhone 4?

I have noticed that since updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 that the status bar at the top of the screen is blurred. This includes AT&T symbol, the status bar, and the battery icon. Sometimes, the app names are also blurred. Is there a fix for this? Please help!

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have tried ALL the troubleshooting steps recommended and you still have the issue, then there's nothing else you can do. Bring the phone in to Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

I've used Firefox for years and have never had a problem. Since the last upgrade I can only download items once in awhile. I have to go to Safari to do my downloads.

I have a Mac OS MacBook Pro. I do not have a problem downloading on Safari. For instance, I can't download statements from my accounts or photos from Kodak Gallery.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Is anyone having issues with your iphone even finding wifi since the newest update? My phone will not even acknowledge a wifi exists anymore. I have tried all the recommended fixes thus far.

I can no longer connect to wifi with the my phone. This is very troubling. I am planning on getting a new non-apple phone.

Thanks for your input. I didn't completely flesh out what I'm seeing visually. The resolution settings are all correct for my screen. The problem is if, say, looking at the gray startup screens or a completely white full-screen image, there is a perimeter of graying, almost as if the LEDs are somehow not as bright as the rest. It's also curious that the thickness of this phenomenon is almost exactly the same as the metal bezel around the display. I will be taking it to an Apple Store for a look, as I'm also having several minor hardware problems that need to be addressed and remedied.

Anyone else having WiFi problems with the IPod Touch 5th Generation?

I upgraded my old IPod Touch 3rd Generation to a 5th Generation yesterday. I've noticed however that for some reason the wi-fi connection on the 5th Generation drops off all of a sudden for no reason at all and I can't figure out why. Anyone else having similar problems? If so what did you do?

Does the iPod connect OK to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect OK?
Did the iPod connect before?
If only your network then it could be a problem with your network
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My iPhone 6 Plus has scratches from my credit cards in my wallet. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I recently purchased the new iPhone and bought a folding wallet case. On one side there are slots for credit cards and the other holds the phone. I noticed that the credit cards are making an impression in my phone screen. I don't put my phone in my back pocket, always carry it in my front slacks pocket. It does not seem like credit cards should be able to scratch a display. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
