Has anyone experienced a flicker issue on the lock screen?

I recently bought a 32GB iPhone 4 on 4.3.3 installed and there's a flicker on the bottom lock screen. Right before it goes to the lockscreen there is a slight flicker. Has anyone experienced this. Or can anyone look to see if they have this problem. I went to bestbuy and I usually go to the phones section with my cousin anyways to see the latest well there were iPhones out to see and I looked and the bestbut one had the same thing but I want to see if anyone else had this or knows a solution to this. Should I downgrade or what?

I did forget to mention I had a iPhone in November and It didn't have this problem. Im thinking it's firmware update bug. But idk

Is anyone experiencing screen flicker when entering a search or moving mouse pointer towards results on google search page?

I have a new medion laptop and have version 4 of firefox installed
and am noticing that when conducting a search from tool bar (google) my screen flickers after pressing the enter key or when I move my mouse pointer towards the google results.
I do not get the same problem when using either internet explorer or google chrome, suggesting that either firefox or one of its plug ins is to blame!
I carried out the same search for the word Apple all using the google search engine preference.
Interested to know if anyone can help

Excellent suggestion to disable Add-ons. The problem on my system was the "Optimize Google" add-on. I went to the add-on's home page and it's defunct, so we can't expect updates that will fix the problem. So I deleted it from my system and everything is rosy.

HELP?!? - iMac 2011 i7 Screen Flicker issue (OSX 10.8.3)

I have a Mid 2011 27" iMac with i7
Since the latest OSX update (OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)) I am getting a very concerning issue where my secondary monitors and my iMac screen 'flicker' and show horizontal bars (green in colour) the audio then seems to stutter and crash before eventually the computer freezes and I have to hold the power button to shut down.
This happens once or twice a day, however a related issue that happens every few minutes is that just my secondary monitors flicker white in places and go completely black for a few seconds at times too.
I have run the Apple Hardware Test and it reported no issues, I also reinstalled OSX from recovery and it is still happening.
I am hoping (praying) this is an issue with OSX and not my hardware. Can anyone shed any light on this - I'm seeing reports of 'similar' sorts of issues with the latest OSX update. But nothing like the issue I mentioned first (the one that forces me to shut down)
I have a Time Machine backup, is it possible to use Time Machine to revert my OSX to 10.8.2 to see if it is indeed the OS that has the issue?

I've downloaded the new software on my iphone and now it won't open itunes. I've done the upgrade, restarted my phone multiple times. Anyone experiencing similar problems. This is infuriating, how can the software mess up a previously functioning device and apple offer no remedy?!

I have already solved the problem by accessing the music tab then logging to iTunes store through it. It hasked for my apple id which was provided, then access was approved.
ever since, I am accessing iTunes directly and there are no problems.
I wonder whether this was the link to the solution.

They can fix it, but not for free. Macbook repairs supposedly are classified into 3 tiers by an Apple Rep, I for least amount of damage and III for most. I have a dent in the corner of my MBP and it would require new housing to get it fixed. $450 (tier I) or ~half the cost of a Macbook Air on education discount... HA.

Is anyone else experiencing screen activation issues during calls?

I got my iPhone in the first batch from VF. Since then I have not experienced any of the issues reported as common faults such as the signal loss - however, I have a new one - the screen on the phone activates itself after a length of time (sometimes a while into a call, sometimes after only a couple of minutes) - this means, when I am happily chatting away the screen activates and my face is happily touching all the buttons on the screen - majority of the 'end call' button! At first I thought I was going crazy, maybe it was me holding it funny, but now I know I'm not!
After doing a bit of googling a few o2 users have reported this issue too - does anyone else have this problem?
Its very irritating. For example, last night I was on the phone to my partner, and the call ended twice - the first time I actually managed to type out a very garbled email to someone!!

It's the proximity sensor, and there are hundreds of posts on here about it. It's not affecting every device, so make an appointment with an Apple Genius, pop instore and get it swapped out.

2011 i5 2.5Ghz Mac mini screen flicker issue...

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I have my 2011 Mac mini connected via HDMI to my TV, and each time I turn the TV on,- after about 5 minutes I get one single flicker where I lose picture and it comes back immediately. This never happened with my 2010 Mac mini connected the same way, which is why I'm surprised.
Again, this only happens once. After I turn the TV off and then back on, it will do the same thing again after 5 minutes. Very odd.

After 3-4 calls to the support the last thing I was asked to open the terminal and digit :
cd /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DysplayVendorID-410c
push enter. You'll get a warning but you can continue.
Then :
sudo mv DisplayProductID-0 DisplayProduct-0 old
push enter and restart the mac.
the person on the phone told me that this solution is studied for a known issue with Philips screen, and exactly blank screen not fl ickering.
In any case it didn't work for me
I'm starting to think that maybe it's something about new macs and Lion. I have seen discussions in which people complain about flickering issue with the new MBA.
On Monday I'll call the support and then ask for a new mac,still don't know which one,I bought mine less than 14 days ago.
Hope this will be fixed soon.

Screen flicker issue

Sometimes, my screen flickrs black for just a millisecond. I don't know what it is causing. But it is happening as well on my Imac, as on my macbook. What could it be? It always seems to be happening when I'm loading something or safari opens a website or page. help!

What I'm experiencing is an occasional flicker here and there that lasts for a fraction of a second. I think, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it happens only, or more frequently, when I'm running off battery; again, I haven't tested that so I'm not sure.
I know no one is responding, but just to add some more info, this is happening both when it's plugged in and not plugged in.
I also notice the battery is having a difficult time getting to 100%. It hangs at 99% for a long time. (And I do let it drain all the way to 0% about once a month.

Anyone experiencing the ELP issue on Snow Leopard?

I have not upgraded, but have been experiencing the missing first key stroke ever since 10.5.1

I've had the ELP issue since Nov. 06 when I bought my MacBook Pro. To my knowledge there has never been a response from Apple addressing the issue.
I have SL, and still have the issue - along with not being able to print and I can't burn DVDs.

Anyone experiencing screen resolution problems after latest Mavericks Update?

Anyone got a blurred monitor after the latest Mavericks Update?
I am running Mavericks 10.9.2 on a Mini Mac with a Logic TV/Monitor. Since the latest Mavericks update I no longer have the option in settings to scale to 1600 x900. Since this gives the best picture on my monitor I now have either a blurred screen with large text or a blurred screen with very tiny text. No other options that give a 'normal' display seem available now, after allowing the 'Update'. The update claims to be addressing faults on the MacBook display, which it may well do, but it has also apparently screwed up Mac Mini screen resolution Options for some of us.
I have reverted back to 10.9.2 and turned off automatic updates, but I can't stay that way indefinitely.
I've tried to find an e-mail address or phone number to log my complaint to Apple but to no avail. (I guess they would otherwise be inundated with customer complaints so keep that kind of information under wrapps). Anyone got any ideas?

I'm not having any problems with dual DVI connected Samsung 21.5" monitors in 10.9.3
What connection (adapter, cable, etc.) are you using..?

IMac 27" inch display screen flicker issue when moving files

Whenever a drop a file from Finder to my desktop, the screen flickers. Occasionally, when I move a window, it also flickers, but it's a more consistent problem when dropping the files on the desktop. It only flickers once and returns to a completely normal state.
It does NOT happen when going the other way - from the desktop to Finder.
I purchased the iMac AFTER the original firmware updates, so I haven't had to install any of them from the original problem a couple years ago.
I am wondering if this is a problem that is discussed or if there are any suggestions.

I'm having the same problem. Here are the details I was about to post as a separate thread:
27" iMac 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 with 16Gb RAM. I'm also using a 20" ACD alongside, a set up I have used with my previous 24" iMac. The ACD is being used as an extended desktop (not mirrored).
I've just started noticing an odd effect: When moving a file from a folder onto the desktop, the entire iMac screen flickers and breaks up momentarily before reverting to normal. It is an effect which lasts a fraction of a second and is visually very intrusive.
Weirdly, if I move the file but continue to hold it for a second before releasing to place it on the desktop, there is no flicker.
Similarly, if I open another folder and place the window alongside, moving a file from window to window produces no flicker. It only happens when moving something to the desktop.
The effect does not happen if the ACD is turned off (but connected) or the ACD is used in Mirror mode.
Does this sound like a hardware or software fault?

Bought an iPhone5 from Dubai a week ago and am having a constant problem with the touchscreen going haywire. It starts flickering and apps keep opening and closing. Did a hard reset, restore, numerous times, same issue. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

The local retailer Sharaf DG needs 10 days to check the issue, not helpful at all. I spent more money to buy it from the retailer instead of the online store, and when I called Apple support they said they couldn't help me as I bought the phone from the retailer and not online. I'm extremely disappointed as this is my first iOS device and I've been told about how the iPhone is bulletproof. Guess i got a lemon.

Ok Guys, got the device back. Service centre said they replaced the Display and touch panel. I would have preferred a new phone, but whatever. I just hope this does it and the problem is fixed. @Robo, I've also got a new nano-SIM from the carrier, so hopefully now anything that can cause the phone to go crazy, is fixed.

Airplay mirroring between my MacBook Pro and Apple TV (1080p one) has always worked fine until now. I only sometimes get video but usually just audio. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

I have the exact same problem. The picture is very slow, incredibly pixelated... and renders my apple tv virtually useless until this problem gets resolved. I currently have an apple tv 3, ipad retina, iphone 4s, and a 2011 macbook air. I use the apple tv almost exclusively for mirrored content. And this is definitely causing quite a problem for me.
I had been able to use this for presentations as well- but until this problem gets resolved - I may have to look for a backup solution/product. And I imagine that I'm not alone in this... Please get this resolved quickly!
