You really should purchase Macs from the Apple Store since they won't be any cheaper anywhere else, and that is the only way to buy one with absolute assurance it has not been misused or improperly stored.
You can order a Mac configured with custom options on a Sunday evening and it can be on your desk that Wednesday morning. Shipping is free.
I have no idea why anyone would by a Mac from anyone other than Apple, but they do. Complaints from those who buy Macs from "big box" resellers appear on this site in disproportionate numbers, for reasons that are not clear.

I have problems now with new updating from windows ( after security updating last week)
my computer delete all programs and go back to windows 8.0 as the first one ( the windows when i bought it ) i update it last month with no issue but because of last windows updating i lose all my files and programs!
i try my best to updating to windows 8.1 but they show me there is error and i cannot do that and they restore again to orginal windows 8.0 as same Version hen i bought it
any assist for this issue?
all the problem came after windows say there is very important file i should downloads it last 3 days ago

Try running the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool to scrub the remnants of McAfee off your system. Sometimes when uninstalling security software it leaves bits behind. Running this tool should deal with that.

New Updates for Windows 8.1 in Jan & Feb 2014 crashes the BOOT

Hi everyone. Please be careful in updating the Windows 8.1 Latest updates that are released in Feb 2014. I guess the update for Windows 8.1 Security Update and Visual Studio Updates crashes down the boot for the Operating System. I reset/refresh the OS again
and which is working fine when I roll back to the System Restore Point.
I suggest you to create a manual Checkpoint before you update the OS. So that it will be easy to recover when you failed to boot the OS.
Perform the Security Updates after that will recover the Store App too.

After trying to download the new iTunes update received an error notice that said iTunes was not installed properly and I needed to re-install.
I cannot even access the iTunes program.

Hopefully you will be able to avoid upgrading, this freeze issue you're having might be a good thing if it means that os6 has failed to be installed. os6 is not looking good. I didn't read the reviews before I accepted the "up" grade. Now it seems it's too late. Hope you can get your answer and can use this stalled "up" grade to revert to os5!

Update. My carrier says the antenna of my iPhone 4s is not so good as the one in the iPhone 3G. They can't solve the problem. Their signal is too weak for the 4s at places I spend most of my time. Not the answer I expected, but I'm free to choose an other carrier. Hope this will help.

Yes, but obviously it depends on the apps.
If no new updates for the apps you have installed have been released in the past week, you won't get any updates.

Anyone having trouble with the new update for 2010 mac book air 10.8.2 ? My 2010 Macbook Air has crashed 15times since the 10.8.2 update. Have only once since owning it.

Turned out the hardware was bad. Apple exchanged it for a new Mac Air and the new trackpad works great. Thank goodness it was a defect. If the trackpads all worked like that I would have been bummed.

Widgets unfortunately have gone by the wayside since Apple introduced the App Store a couple years ago. No widget has received any official recognition in the Apple listing of Widgets since that time. So it is entirely possible the widget has gotten redirected. There are many other Apps for stocks. I personally like the Nasdaq Quote website since it knows mutual funds and other markets as well.
