Is anyone having trouble opening iTunes on their iPhone?

For the past two days I have tried to open iTunes on my iPhone 5 and first it said it couldn't connect and now it crashes.

iTunes runs on your computer, not your phone. Please re-phrase the question.

I am having trouble opening iTunes on my PC, how do I fix the issue?

    Hello Will,
I know you said you uninstalled iTunes but if you only uninstalled the application itself and not its components, when you re installed the issue could keep happening. I recommend using this article to uninstall iTunes and its components Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7 found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923.
After that try installing iTunes again and see if the issue is resolved.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Having trouble opening iTunes...

Whenever I open iTunes, it only stays open for about 2 minutes and then I recieve this error message:
    Runtime Error!
    Program Files/itunes/itunes.exe
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
    Please call technical support.
...and then it closes. It's really been bothering me because I want to buy some new music, and it won't let me.
So far, I've only tried downloading iTunes 7 and it didn't help.

Dido---my itunes message is Microsoft visual C+ error message and then I get kicked out of Itunes. This error message is spiratic and I may get into Itunes another day but haven't been able to get into Itunes for 3 days now. Wish I could help you too - anyone ever heard of this error message?

  • Having trouble moving iTunes music onto iPhone 5

    Hey guys,
I'm going to try my best to clarify everything so please bare with me.
    Windows 7 (64-bit)
    iTunes (11.3)
    iPhone 5 64GB (iOS 7.1.2)
    - All are up to date as of now
    - There is enough storage for my 4,462 songs I want to add
Yesterday, I finally transferred all of my music from my library on my computer to this one (and downloaded some new songs).
I wanted to put all of my iTunes music from my computer onto to my iPhone via USB cable. I wanted to delete all music from my iPhone to clean the slate then add the new music to make sure everything is new (no duplicates, wrong songs, etc.) I have done this a few times before.
So I plugged in my iPhone and checked manually manage music (as I usually do), then highlighted all of my songs on my iPhone and deleted them. Then they disappeared from the phone's music list and showed that I had gained all that space back (this is all normal).
So I highlighted all of the music on my iTunes (4,462 songs) and dragged them into the iPhone music area.
It then began copying the songs over, so I left it there to copy overnight because all of those songs would take a while to transfer.
Today I woke up and checked to see if it was done and I saw that most songs did not copy and instead were grayed out with the dotted circles next to them.
It said "Copying 1 of 382 --> Song name" but hasn't made any progress since then.
So I deleted the grayed out songs from the list but couldn't delete the ones that were trying to copy.
I tried cancelling the copying process but it was stuck at that same "1 of 382" for 30 minutes.
So I ejected my iPhone but it said "Syncing iPhone" or something like that. I left it like that for 10 minutes and it didn't do anything so I unplugged my phone from my computer and did a hard restart on the phone. In the meantime iTunes said something like "Failed, the device was disconnected."
I restarted my computer and opened iTunes again and connected my phone again. I plugged in my phone and tried syncing all of the music instead and it did basically the same thing and then said there wasn't enough room to transfer items.
I didn't understand because when I clicked on my iPhone device it didn't show any music. But then I looked at the storage bar and it showed that music was taking up about 30GB (about the amount of music that I wanted to transfer originally) on my iPhone.
So now I'm trying to delete the music off of my iPhone but it doesn't show the songs on it in iTunes.
I tried deleting all the music through the options in my phone (it let me do it) but it didn't delete any music (even after hard restarting my phone).
So now I'm not able to transfer music to my phone...
         1. Because it says there is not enough room
         2. I'm having trouble with the songs that won't transfer via syncing or manually managing items because of the stupid
I've tried so many things, read so many threads online but nothing is working, and I definitely don't want to restore my iPhone...
         1. Many people said they've tried that and many other things but nothing worked
         2. I don't want to have to bother with that whole process and am worried about losing something(s) in the backup process.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd much appreciate it them.

I haven't, I've been using the same account since I first got an iPod. Although...I just noticed that all the songs that did transfer are songs I bought from iTunes. None of the songs I imported from CDs got transferred. What's the deal?

  • Has anyone had trouble saving pictures on their iphone?

Has anyone had trouble saving their pictures on their iphone 4S?  Recently I cannot save anything, nor can I edit or share.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • I have a new computer, now I am having trouble using iTunes with my iPhone.

So my old PC died, now I have a MacBook Pro.  I downloaded the latest iTunes to it and when I connect my iPhone to it, it does recognize my phone.  However I purchased and app and I cannot get that app to sync to my phone.  Also is there a way to get the apps currently on my phone to sync with my new itunes library.  I would appreciate any help, Thanks!

  • Is anyone having issues opening itunes in windows 7 professional?

Brand new dell desktop with i7 chip 12 gig ram running windows 7.  Installed new copy of itunes and when i point it at the music folder under my music that I copied from my old machine it starts to load up and then closes.  I have run all scenarios suggested by apple website and nothing has worked.  Does anyone have any insights?

Ummm I think everyone is having this problem, the solution I have found is that to open it in "safe mode"
To open it in safe mode
hold down shift and control at the same time.
you will get a message saying that you want to open it in safe mode if u did it right, continue and it should work.
if u stuffed it up, ctrl alt delete task manager and end the program...

  • Is anyone having trouble with itunes running on Windows server 2008?

We use to have iTunes running on a Dell desktop box that was acting as our file server for years. I upgraded both our hardware to a Dell Pwoeredge server running Windows Server 2008 RS and now I'm finding that iTunes will only stay running for about 3 days. It stops running and has to be force quit and then restarted to get songs playing again. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it for happening in the future? We use iTunes based music for our on-hold music for our phone system and for in-store ambiance music.

Every time I try to log into my apple account to facetime an error message appears saying "the server encountered an error processing registration. please try again later" What does this mean?? This has happened to me before and i brought it into the apple store and they fixed it for me but i cannot remember what they did to fix it. If anyone knows please message me back! Thank you !

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or obviously invalid, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 4
Back up all data, then take the steps suggested in this support article.
There are five steps in that article. Please take all of them. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 5
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.
    Step 6
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 7
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 8
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 9
According to one anecdotal report, Flash Player may interfere with iMessage, though I don't know how and can't confirm. To test this theory, select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
Close the preference pane. If this action solves the problem, please post your results.
    Step 10
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 11
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

  • Is anyone having trouble opening CS5 products (PS, AI, & In) after installing OSX Mavericks?

I just installed OSX Mavericks and now cannot open CS5 Ps, Ai, or In.  I haven't found any information about known issues or any updates that should solve the problem. Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

As it turns out, it was necessary to upgrade Java Runtime in order to open the applications.  It seems to be an issue with OSX rather than Creative Suite; the only dialogue to that effect appeared when I shut down the machine.  I haven't figured out why it didn't appear until then, but once it did it was simple to get the upgrade done and Voilá!
