Is anyone still having the AME crash issue?
I've been working very efficiently until the last day where Media Encoder just stopped finishing the job. It will get about 50% of the way through a simple .mov to mp4 export and then freeze. I am using a new Imac with an I7 and 20+ gigs of RAM. I have updated both Premiere Pro cs6 and with that Adobe Media Encoder.
I have about 200 edits that I cannot transfer to Final cut Pro with out shooting myself in the face, I am begging for someone to help me out here. Adobe doesn't seem to give a rip and I am at a complete loss.

What version of Premiere Pro? Premiere Cs6 6.0.2 updated yesterday
What operating system? Mac OSX 10.7.4 : 3.4 Ghz 20Gigs of RAM : I7
What kind(s) of source footage? When telling about your source footage, tell us about the codecs, not just the container types. For example, "H.264 in a .mov container", not just "QuickTime". I am using a few different codecs in some of the sequeces. Mainly used is the Apple ProRes 422, Linear PCM, Timecode : sometimes I used a few AVI files as well
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)? I do not get error messages the Media Encoder just stops working
What were you doing when the problem occurred? Trying to have exported media converted to h264
Has this ever worked before? This has worked almost all the time except for this last week as I've really need it.
What other software are you running? Premiere CS6 and Media Encoder that is all.

Still having the same crashing
i finally decided to upgrade skype to the latest version.
i have not tried a skype call yet as i literally just upgraded about 15 minutes ago, but i'm expecting to have similar freezing/crashing problems since loading skype is doing the same thing it was doing when i had 6.22 - start skype, click my chat or an IM to see new messages, freezes or straight up crashes right away.
took a couple of screenshots to illustrate the problem
this was right after i updated; it immediately crashed when i clicked my status bar to go change it. i closed it and tried again
please note the red sections - my chat had only three messages to load so i clicked the chat and it froze like you see here
FIVE full minutes later it loads the THREE messages.
if i answer the suggestions listed on your 'why does skype for windows crash my computer?' (though it doesn't crash my computer fortunately, it just bugs out on itself)
1) i have installed the latest skype version
2) my windows has updated today
3) if direct x updates with windows updates, mine should be updated but last time i was told to check, i did have the latest stuff
4) i do not have the latest drivers because i cannot upgrade them - they crash my computer, mess with the resolution and do not revert back to normal, do not take because my computer won't recognize them and they mess with my computer's ability to go to sleep - instead of 'waking up' from sleep, it's a frozen black screen and i have to hard restart each time so i just can't bother with trying to get the drivers cause they just don't work. i think this might be a possible problem when it comes to how skype's all fancy and crap now - the unnecesary blue boxes around the text are absolutely a problem.
ya guys really need to add that as an option cause if i could just go back to the white streamline look, i probably wouldn't have any issues. if there IS a way to remove the blue boxes around the text and stuff, it'd be pretty nice to hear about it so i can actually use this program without wanting to rip my hair out every single day
5) i have no idea what compatibility mode is so i guess i don't have it as that?
6) i restarted before i updated, actually. and i'm going to restart again after i make this post

i don't manually edit system changes because i don't understand them
all the additional features i'm seeing so far on this updated one vs. the 6.22 are okay to look at but like, you know, some people can't deal with extra crap just to look pretty. the icons now being in big circles on the friends list? the continued blue boxes around the text? i don't need this. i don't want this. i just want a **bleep** program i can use that doesn't freeze more times during the day than i can count.actually, never mind. i'm no longer interested in a fix for 7.2
i had to restore skype to 6.22 because after i made the post and restarted again, i couldn't get skype to work at all. it crashed four times in a row and the fifth time it simply froze
i decided i don't have the energy to stress myself out trying to get a crappy latest version working so i went back and have restored to 6.22
i'll still leave this post up as an example of how updating isn't necessarily the total fix, especially when there are things a person can't do to maximize the chance of getting a newer skype to work with their computer (my drivers problems; i'm absolutely not going to reinstall them myself because i don't understand drivers at all and i don't trust myself to do something like that)
if skype comes out with a simple, compact version or something then i would consider upgrading. if it worked like the old skype worked and was just a place where i could gather my friends to chat and do calls without ANY problems (i had never had a single problem with skype until these latest few versions), like 2013 skype was rebooted or something i would be all over that. skype back then was pretty great and easy to use and didn't have all this unnecessary nonsense that kills the enjoyment of using the program.
otherwise i will never update again as long as i can avoid doing so. that ~25 minutes of having 7.2 skype has completely turned me off from any future updates, especially if skype keeps going the rate it's going by adding all these fluffy things that are not needed and just slow down and disrupt anything else i'm doing.
honestly just so frustrated with this program. gotta say, i will definitely not be recommending it to anyone in the future and i'm kinda frustrated i even have to keep using it because i'm unaware of any other similar programs i could switch to.
wouldn't be surprised if skype only is relevant for a few more years till someone gets fed up and offers an more reliable, accessible program. -

I haven't, I also havne't heard back from the manager from the 5th ave Apple Store. I just want to know what is going on and whether or not anyone else is still having problems or if anyone else has found a REAL solution?

GabeI was able to get my credit this weekend after being told I was initially ineligible.
Turns out, as I assumed, someone entered in the wrong iPhone serial number for my device at AT&T so Apple never got the correct number.
So, here's what I did to fix it.
I had emailed [email protected] but I also called AT&T and got transferred to the iPhone AppleCare folks. I explained to them that I had never returned my phone, never got a replacement, and that I couldn't have a replacement phone because the IMEI number on my AT&T receipt (there was no iPhone serial number on my receipt, just the IMEI) and the IMEI on the back of my iPhone match. This is the number AT&T uses to validate my iPhone is a working device on their network.
Anyway, after explaining this to the AppleCare folks, I was placed on hold for a good 15 minutes. When she returned she gave me a case number and told me to call Apple Customer Relations during business hours. However, about 2 hours later my credit worked on the web site. About 6 hours later I received an email from [email protected] that they fixed the data problem and I could get my credit. But by that time I'd already spent it =)
So, the best thing for you to do is call AppleCare. If you don't get the resolution you're looking for, call back. I had to call a total of 5 times before getting a case number and before I got my credit.

Ever since I updated my ipad2 and iphone5 to ios8, both devices are running slow, apps take forever to download (Google is STILL downloading on both), and they freeze/crash. This is VERY frustrating! Anyone else having the same problems?
Message was edited by: RkksheaHad same problem on my iPad2 with the original 8.0 release. I ended up wiping it completely clean and doing a reset and restore from backup. That seemed to fix my issues. I had the same problem when 7 came out and did the same wipe and restore to get everything working well.

I upgraded to version 4 last week and find it extremely slow compared to the previous version - like so slow that some pages do not even load. I have downloaded and gone back to version 3.6.17 and everything is back to the normal I have known for years with Firefox and it is really fast again...so now I know that there is nothing wrong with my computer and that the supposedly very very fast version 4 is much much slower than the previous version 3.6...so what gives? I'm not keen on going back to the new improved version 4, though I know it will not be supported soon...anyone else having the same issue?

Since updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 I'm having compatibility issues with my speakers / docking station and my iTunes wifi sync isn't working. Anyone else having the same problems? Both worked fine until the update...
Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

Since i got the new Iphone 4s it constantly drops calls. Apple have replaced the phone with another new iphone 4s but i am still having the same problem. I have checked with vodapohe that there is no issue from there end, given a new sim, still drops out

Has anyone heard back from Apple on this bug ?Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device. -
I used th Mountain Lion up to date program to redeem my code yesterday (25th July) but I still haven't got any email or anything. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Same here...plopped down >$2700 USD on a new Retina MBP a few weeks ago with the promise of a free upgrade to ML when it was released. Now, I have no doubts that I'll get the upgrade but I'm not crazy about having to wait behind scads of others who are shelling out a mere $20 bucks.
I was given the same 72 hour speech by Apple Customer Support. With my Up-To-Date claim reference number in hand, it seems like they would/could provide an instant turn-around to those of us who are excited/eager enough to call in.
Apple does a lot of things right but people...especially the clientele that gravitate toward Apple products...expect excellence across the board. It's like a "nearly" perfect date....beautiful night...best table in the restaurant...delicious dinner with a fabulous bottle of wine...your date is smokin' hot in a little black dress. On the way back to her place, she unbuckles her seatbelt and leans across with a hand towards your leg and then lets a gigantic, tear-demanding **** that makes you want to gag. The next day somebody asks, "How was your date?" -

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. Is anyone else having Config error 16 issue when trying to start PSE 12 or Premier Elements 12 after the Mac upgrade to OS X Yosemite 10.10 on iMac. I have had a number of issues with software and things after upgrading to OS X Yosemite 10.10 and even 10.10.1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 a number of times and everything goes fine until its ready to launch and then you get an error message. Numerous uninstalled and reinstalls don't removing the problem. Strangely enough PSE 11 still appears to boot up and I never owned Premier Elements 11 so I don't know if it will start. I thought with Apple dropping its Apeture software and greater integration of iPhoto and Apeture files into Lightroom 5.7 all would be harmonious between these two players. Im not sure where Adobe wants us to go it recently removed the plugin to allow you to update files from LR to Adobe Revel, whats up with that. I now own two version of Adobe software that no longer work with my Mac and now way of uploading pictures from Lightroom to Revel. Needless to say I am pretty reluctant to sign on to a subscription of Creative Cloud with long term financial obligations when I can't even get my current Adobe software to work independently much less integrate with Lightroom. Frustrated with it all!
Get rid of 'put disks to sleep when possible' and you may see a dramatic improvement (not necessarily a cure).
That specific problem is a multiple-Processor (including graphics processor) problem, where one of the processors lost track of whether it should be responding to interrupts. You may have a Hardware problem. -

They replaced card or logic board with same original model: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB
Issued me a refund check for my repair.
Seems to have some noticeable issues, fan running more than usual again, and temporary graphic lines,

Until that time I am trying to figure out what I can do to protect the Palm Rest/Mouse Pad area of my Macbook once they either fix it or give me a new one. Has anyone had any experience with either of these products that can provide some input as to whether they are good or bad?
