The Mac App Store version of Aperture requires Mac OS X 10.9 or newer. If you choose to buy an Aperture DVD, it needs to be version 2 or 3 to work in Snow Leopard.

I cant get my iphone 5 to be compatible with my mac book pro. When I plug the iphone 5 in it tells me that i need a newer version of itunes 10.7 and I currently have 10.6. I checked for updates in my itunes and it says i dont have any. So i have gone to the itunes website to try and redownload itunes which i believe it 11.7. When I try and download that version it tells me the software on my computer doesn't suppor that version. I try to update my software and it says there is not software updates available right now. In order to get those to work you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

but nobody knows for how long it will be available.

JABRA A320S bluetooth dongle compatible with my mac book??
I bought a jabra a320s to pair my mac book with a sony mini stereo. i want to play my music through it.
i had to get the jabra dongle since the mac's bluetooth didn't support a2dp. i haven't opened the box yet for the jabra device. will this work with a mac? on the box it only says compatible with various windows, etc.
anyone know if this will be fine for what i need? thanks in advance.

It doesn't list A2DP as a feature on the very latest MacBooks either - even though those are the ones that come with Leopard which does have A2DP support. A2DP is a feature of the Macs Bluetooth system software, not the Bluetooth hardware. That's why older Macs updated to Leopard have gained A2DP support, with no new Bluetooth hardware required.
So if the bluetooth on this computer doesn't have A2DP then there's no way for me to use a bluetooth dongle instead?
No. But it wouldn't matter if you could use the Bluetooth dongle. You would still need the updated Bluetooth software on the computer for A2DP support - which is part of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Well... Yes, if there was actually a way to disable just the internal Bluetooth - but there isn't. If you were to turn Bluetooth off in the system preferences, it would turn all Bluetooth off, including the dongle.
But lastly, does anyone know if the Jabra dongle would be compatible with the Mac Book if I actually busted open the box?
You're not reading what I've written are you? As the MacBook *already has* internal bluetooth hardware, you cannot use an external bluetooth dongle with it. The internal bluetooth always takes priority over the external, and you cannot turn off just the internal Bluetooth. -

But if you look closely at that picture, you will see a possible issue getting a VGA cable seated fully in the adapter.
You may want to try a Fry's or Microcenter or other "giant electonics retailer" to find other brand names.

You need to connect it to the computer using either USB or Thunderbolt. Setup is simply prepping the SSD:
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed. -

Is the corsair DDR3 16GB 1333 SO-D KIT compatible with the Mac Book pro 2010?
I'm upgrading my Mac book pro 2010 and was wandering if this ram works. I already tried the PNY 8gb ram, but snow leopard wouldn't install with it.
I'm pretty sure it can take 16GB fine, after all Apple has said up to this day that non-Retina Macs can't do so much RAM yet here we are, a whole bunch of happy 16GB users (hint: my Mac is carring the Corsair CMSA16GX3M2A1333C9 kit).
However, stedman is right. Your Mac uses 1066MHz RAM, the 1333 MHz RAM is for 2011 models. -

I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer and it is not compatible with the version of the operating system on my mac book pro. I am currently running on OS X 10.4.11 and the printer is compatible with v10.5 or higher. What can I do to update the operating system on my Mac Book Pro?
10.5 will be harder to find & more expensive, I think I'd go for 10.6

My new canon Pixma MX432 printer is not printing. It was printing fine until about ten days ago. I use a Netgear Wireless N router, which is also new. What do I need to do. I get a message when trying to print that says "printer not connected." In addition, my old Gateway laptop will still print fine apparently because it has a cable connection to the printer. Puzzled!
Have you tried rebooting the router? I would unplug it, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in. Be sure you know the password etc. if that doesn't work, try unplugging and rebooting the printer. Good luck!
