Is apple planing on making the back part of the ipod touch look, feel, and be like the ipad and or mac? I have heard millions of complaints that the ipod touch's back, scratches really easily, (I am also one of them). I am willing to buy the fifth ipod touch if the back were aluminum or some other kind of material.
Just put it in a case. Personally, I find the touch very slippery and easy to drop. I put a silicone case on mine that fits like a glove, has a nice grip, looks great and doesn't add any noticeable weight.

There are number of other companies that make leather iPhone cases though - I've used numerous Sena leather sleeves and cases over the years although I've never inquired what species of leather they use. -
I am trying to set up home sharing between my iphone 4s and mac which is running itunes 11. Both are connected to my home wifi network and using the same apple id but on the iphone app it says 'Turn on Home sharing in iTunes on your computer or apple tv using account ***

goodnight. as you know apple has evolved considerably until today but there are people who do not have ability to buy new products. in my case I would like to know why the apple do not let the iphone 3g update to iOS 4.3 as are several applications that can not put on my iphone 3g due to this reason. Why does not Apple make a repository with applications for ios 4.2.1? or else do not work in an update to ios 4.3 on iphone 3g?
This has nothing to do with Apple, as Apple does not make the apps.
This is the decision of the app maker.
Contact those app makers and ask them why they do this. -

I have a question about my plan due to the iphone.
I plan on ordering the iphone on Feb. 3 which I am eligible for and whatnot.
Anyhow once you receive the iphone and activate it can they just switch over the plan I already have? I have the 39.99 Voice Unlimited data 29.99 and 10 text.
I also have a discount through my work. If they don't switch over the same plan that I already have how does that work? Do they just need to apply the discount to my new plan and verify that I still work there or something?It doesn't matter whether or not you have the cheapest or most expensive voice and text plants, smartphones require a data plan to be eligible for a discount. It should be the same for the iPhone 4.
As for any work discount, I don't think you need to do anything to continue to receive it. I receive a discount for working with the government and I didn't need to do anything when I changed my plan a couple of times before. -

Guess I could have been clearer. What I am referring to is MAP-compatable (Message Access Profile) phone pairing for text messaging in newer vehicles. Apple does not support this service, would make driving safer if they did.

As ckuan said, there's no way to mark messages as urgent from the phone. So, either your carrier is doing something and you'll need to contact them or it't something on the other end. Is it just one person who's seeing your texts as urgent? Or everyone?

i was wondering if Apple has any intentions on making an Iphone/Ipad app to remotely control Logic like Motu has for Digital performer. I've been using Touch.OSC, from Hexler. It is not created by Apple but works like a charm on Logic. I've been using the app for over a year both on my iPad and my iPhone. New to iPhone and thought Music Match sounded cool. Apple acknowledges my payment but the iPhone says I;m not subscribed. PRetty sure I'm suing the correct Apple I.D. and password. Any ideas out there?
I have done that and it is definitely on. My husband has the exact same phone and I upgraded his IOS at the same time, but this problem is not happening to his phone (we are also on the same plan, so our service should be the same). Our settings appear to be identical and my phone is showing the 3G symbol at the top, so I can't understand why it won't access the network.
I've turned it on and off twice and have reset all settings with my iTunes account, but it still isn't working.
I'm not a complete idiot with this sort of stuff - I have tried all the obvious things. -

Does anyone know how to reset the iCloud username on the iPhone? I recently changed my apple id (email address) and now the phone can't sync with iCloud. The new apple id works on iCloud.com, this forum, and for purchases on all my devices.
You changed your AppleID primary email address from the AppleID Management web page? If that is what you did, you could just delete the iCloud account on your iPhone, and add it back, using the new email address and that should set it up again with the right name. As long as you changed it via the manage AppleID web interface, then the "account" is still the same, just the name (email address = AppleID) is different.
If you created another, new AppleID with the new email address however, then you will not be able to use the same name as before with your @me.com address (since you would now effectively have two active AppleIDs and the original @me.com address would be considered an active, in use one, tied to the account created with the olde AppleID).
