Is Appleworks 5 for Windows compatible with Windows 7?

Can Appleworks 5 for Windows be installed and run on a Windows 7 PC?

I've kicked this around with some of the folks who are more knowledgeable about AppleWorks than I am. (I just use it and love it.)
It sounds like maybe you should just give it a try and see if it will work for you.
Good luck.

Is pages 11 for iOS compatible with pages 09 on my Mac?

There is no such thing as Pages 11 although the new versions on both the Mac & iOS could be referred to as '13.
Pages '09 cannot open files from the new versions. If you have ugraded to Mavericks you should see an update for Pages in the Mac App Store. Post back if you need help doing that.

Are Microsoft IntelliPoint Pro 6.1 for Mac and IntelliType Pro 6.1 for Mac compatible with Mac OS 10.6.7?

These arent compatible with Mac OS 10.6.7.

  • Appleworks support for Windows

How long will Apple support Appleworks for Windows? Should I start saving as RTF from now on?

    Hi,
Welcome to Apple Discussions and the AppleWorks forum.
This is a user to user forum, so no one here can give you a definitive answer to your question.
Depends on what you mean by "support." AppleWorks 6.2 is the most recent version of AppleWorks for Windows, and is still available through the (North American) Apple Store for Education. It will continue to work on Windows until Microsoft makes a change to the Windows operating system that breaks AW's compatibility. (The same is true for the Mac version of AppleWorks 6 and Apple's changes to the Mac OS.)
Steve Jobs announced in January 2005 that 'in iWork, Apple is building the successor to AppleWorks,' and there has been no update of AppleWorks 6 (for either platform) since a year before that.
RTF will keep some, but not all, formatting of AppleWorks word processor documents. Depending on the complexity of your AW documents, choosing to Save as... RTF as your primary format, or as a backup format could well be prudent. Note that AppleWorks 6 does not recognize a document saved in a 'foreign' format as having been saved, and will give you the "This file has not yet been saved" message when you attempt to close the document or quit AppleWorks.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Office for mac compatible with OS X Yosemite?

Just wondered if I will have issues  with Office for Mac after loading Yosemite?  I need the Office for Mac programs to run my business and can't afford losing the data.  Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

If you believe that then I have this bridge for sale you might like to buy.
Perhaps you should read a bit more closely. I'm quite aware the current version of Office is missing much of what the Windows version can do. I clearly stated the Mac version is far behind.
The current version is Office 2011 for Mac. As you can see (it was actually released late 2010), it hasn't been updated a bit over four years. It is mostly compatible with any documents created in the Windows versions of Office, but newer features of Office 2013 for Windows may not open as expected under the last boxed Mac version.
The older email Mac client version of Entourage, and the current email client Outlook, have always been behind (often, far behind) the capabilities of the Windows versions.
The upcoming simultaneous Windows and Mac versions of Office 2015 are supposed to be feature equivalent. When MS closed the Mac Division, it didn't just go away, it was merged with the Windows division so they are developed together instead of separately.

  • It is NVIDIA 4800 for MAC Compatible with a Mid 2010 MACPRO,... 5,1

I would like to know if my MACPRO Mid 2010 (5,1) it is compatible with NVIDIA FX 4800 for mac or NVIDIA 4000
    thank you

Apple no longer lists it, Nvidia web site though:
Go to • About This Mac
Click on the • More Info button
    Select • Hardware
The model identifier should be MacPro3,1 or MacPro4,1 (2008 or 2009) or later
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_quadro_fx_4800_for_mac_us.html
And if you are going to spend say $798 for Q4000 (Amazon, Mac Pro version) maybe wait and see but 10.7.4 support for a GTX 570 2.5GB might do a better job even where Quadro use to (due to drivers, not hardware itsself)

  • Is a WD My Book for Mac compatible with OS Yosemite?

Is there an External Hard Drive that works with OS Yosemite. I bought a WD My Book for Mac External Hard Drive, but it appears from what I have since read that it isn't compatible with OS Yosemite.

Although Yosemite isn't specifically mentioned as one of the operating systems for which the WD My Book for Mac external hard drive is compatible, I have been able to complete an initial backup with the drive after designating the appropriate settings in System Preferences for my iMac.
Yes, as you should have been able to. When a company like WD (or Seagate, Hitachi, etc.) say they're not compatible with a particular OS, they mean their supplied disk utilities haven't been updated yet. It has nothing to do with the physical drive itself. And you really don't ever want to use the software they include for backups, speeding up disk access or anything else. Delete all of that junk.
I have to ask. What do you mean by appropriate settings in System Preferences for my iMac ? Time Machine I presume?

  • Is there a list for applications compatible with Lion?

As I contemplate the move to Lion from Snow Leopard (10.6.8) I have the usual hesitation about applications and utilities working after the move.
This feeling is especially heightened by the final swan song of Rosetta, I think this might be 2nd only to the move from OS 9 to OS X.
I was wondering if anyone had enocountered a list of software compatible with Lion: applications, utilities, etc?

Very shortly after asking this question I found an answer...
Roaring Apps: APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY WIKI FOR MAC OS X LION
Cannot take credit for this, the link was provided by The Hatter, at the bottom of this post...
Do I need to buy new programs for osx lion?

  • Is Elements 6 for Mac compatible with new Lion operating system?

I'm planning to buy a new iMac with OS X Lion. Will the Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac program that I am currently using be compatible with the Lion operating system?

Adobe's official response about any software and any major operating system update is that since the software wasn't tested on the new OS, they don't consider it compatible. Just as they never update the system requirements to show updated versions of the compatible OS. They just don't go there at all. If you called them they would say no, but not based on experience or experiment, merely on policy.
I don't think there's anything especially complicated--based on what I hear in real life, people who don't have Open in Rosetta turned on when they upgrade to lion are mostly okay, while there's no way to make it go if you did have it set for Rosetta. I would guess a new install would be fine, but I haven't had a chance to try it out myself yet. Scanning and such are likely to have problems, and of course older ppc plug-ins won't work anymore.

  • Smoke Kit accessories for Nano compatible with 30gb Ipod???

Does anyone know if Smoke Kit accessories such as USB car & wall chargers, 3.5mm RCA cable, 3.5mm retractable cassette, audio splitter & Lanyard earphones are compatible with Ipod 30gb Video? Got the kit from Circuit City for my Nano and love it very much, in addition, saving big bucks. Kit cost about $30 and recommended for Nano. Also, just bought new 30gb IpodVideo & a little nervous to use it...Please submit your suggestion or give me some advice! Thank you.

Are you referring to a 2nd Generation iPod Nano or a 2nd Generation iPod Mini.
If it is the Nano they are compatible. It it is the Mini they should be.

  • Is the Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 for Mac compatible with a PC?

    Hi,
I mistakenly purchased the Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 for Mac instead of the PC version.
Are these still compatible with my PC even though they say "for Mac"? They have a USB connector just like my headphones and I have had people say that they "should" work, but I wanted to verify this.
I already had one pair that I purchased a while back for my PC and they work great but my wife wanted these also and I didn't realize there were two versions. If they will still work with a PC, I will just keep them. I just didn't want to open them up and find out that they don't.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I found something else out , the MIC is recoginized at startup when i have the problem , but not the headphones .

  • BIOS 1.3 for NEO2 compatible with NEO ?

Is the v1.3 bios of the 865PE-neo2-S compatible with the 865P/865PE-NEO mobo ?
coz it says in the bios page
BIOS Type  AMI® BIOS  File Size  414KB
    Version  1.3  Update date  2003-6-26
Update Description - Add MAT support for all 865PE version .
    - Fixed Maxtor S-ATA HDD sometimes will hang during HDD detection.
    - Fixed CPU ratio can't set over 23x.
    Special note  ,
    Download  6728v13.exe
    do u think i could flash my 865P-Neo (MS-6742) with this ? thanks !

    Hi xzrzx,
I sorry but have to say that this NEO2PE BIOS is not for you 865P model as your mobo is only support the lower processors version with only 400/533MHz northbridge support, whereas the PE(s) have support for 400MHz(Northwood)/533/800MHz CPUs.
Stick to MSI mainboard page of your mobo's model BIOS
    All the Best... :D!!!

  • New Bios update for S10e compatible with original S10?

I saw on S10lenovo that they said the fan problem is now fixed with the new bios, so it runs at a low speed all the time instead of going on and off(which is quite annoying). I was wondering if the bios update is compatible with the original S10? if not, then when will the original S10's bios update be available? Thanks!

If your not familiar with bios updates, be very careful. Make sure your 100% positive its the proper one and it works, flashing an incorrect bios will essentially cripple your system.
