As I asked with Khmer, supported in what way?    There is no shaper for Arabic languages, if that if what you are looking for - you must do that yourself when creating the PDF.

Until Apple releases an update, you cannot get Arabic language support.
Shops that are "offering" software are hacking the phones which voids the warranty and prevents you from updating the phone when new firmware is released.

Hello, I am doing a layout in arabic language, and I am missing option of change direction in paragraph. I read on forum that I am supposed to download some kind of an plug in or version of indesign for arabic language support, but I just don't know what to download.
Can you tell me step by step what to do and download.
    Thank you very much!

InDesign is from a technical viewpoint a Plugin Activator.
    Every function is a plugin.
With CC and higher you can change the language in the CC app preferences.
When you change the language, additonal plugins, necessary for that language are installed, with the MENA (Middle East North Africa) versions RTL functionality is added into your primary version.
InDesign chooses to start the program in the same language as you OS is set up, RTL functionality appears translated into your normal User Interface.
After installing a MENA version you can switch back to your main language.

  • Asian Language support in Acrobat 3D 8/TCS

I've spent hours and days to solve a problem with PDFs containing Japanese text, which refused to be copied/pasted into other applications. Then someone told me, it works on his PC using my PDFs the same that didn't work here. Well, it turned out that he had installed the Asian language packs for *READER*, which I didn't use. And which should *not* be used with Acrobat Pro or 3D, according to well-informed Acrobat gurus.
In their KB articles, Adobe gives instructions like these: "To make Asian fonts available for downloading to a printer, be sure you have downloaded the fonts to your computer using the Custom or Complete installation option during installation of Acrobat."
Well, after searching, reading, trying, re-installing etc., I have to say: THERE IS NO CUSTOM INSTALL OPTION in Acrobat 3D/TCS. I have NO option to install Asian language support within a suite that carries "communication" in its name. Technical communication *is* worldwide communication.
Interesting enough: after installing the Reader language packs, the required functionality was there (copy/pasting of asian characters), but currently I'm not sure if I damaged my system (or reduced its functionality) by installing Reader fonts for Acrobat 3D.
So, what do I have to do in order to achieve *full* support for Asian characters in Acrobat 3D/TCS? Any idea?

    Olaf,
before I wrote this posting there has been a whole lot of testing here. The situation in short words: I've created PDFs containing Japanese characters in Illustrator and in InDesign. Here on my PC I've not been able to copy/paste (e.g. to Word) any characters from the Illustrator PDF, that were created using OTF fonts and converted to "Type 1 CID/Identity H" fonts. A similar file created in InDesign worked without problems.
There have been a lot of strange things happening I was, for example, able to copy the characters in question (Illustrator PDF, OTF fonts) from Acrobat Pro on my Mac and paste them into Word (Windows) running in a Parallels VM. I could NOT do this within Windows from A3D to Word.
After sending my test PDFs to the German FrameUser mailing list, I got a response from one person (as noted above). And: after installing the Japanese Reader fonts, I suddenly was able to copy the characters within Windows. There must be something that has changed. Copying the characters over to Mac ceased to work in this moment, but has worked before. So the Reader font installation seems to do more than just install fonts although I don't know what it could be.
You'll get my test files within the next minutes
    Thanks for caring :-)

  • Arabic language support for xperia z3

I purchased xperia z3 through online shopping, the problem is it does not support arabic language. Where can i get the support pack ?

You wouldn't have to, if you bought the phone in your country/region you wouldn't have to add anything to it, its not quite a language pack
Also keep in mind that since you bought the phone in a different country, there's no such thing as internationaly warranty, Sony's warranty will only work on the country it was originally sold.

kindly guide where i m wrong.
    THanks in Advs

Where your database server is located does not matter, AIX or Windows or other os.
And AL32UTF8 would mean a Unicode database which means it may be used to store basically any language characters.
You need to look into client side locale settings, if e.g. windows pcs are setup properly or putty terminal configuration is correct.
Please download and use Oracle SQL Developer, as it is Unicode "aware" and can be used to verify character data.
In a Windows console window (cmd prompt), you need to take care of oem code page and matching char set part of NLS_LANG to indicate what's in use.
    c:\>chcp
    Active code page: 850
    c:\>set nls_lang
    nls_lang=.we8pc850

abc??????The ?'s right above likely means that character replacement has ocurred, since character set in use by client does not define characters stored/retrieved from the database.

  • Switch to Arabic Language, Keep English as Default

I primarily work in English, but have a few clients who need things in Arabic. Is there a way to be able to switch over to the English/Arabic version of Illustrator when I need to while keeping the English (North America) version my default?
    What I've tried:
When I initially installed CC, I used the English (North America) language. When I needed Arabic support, I changed the language in my Creative Cloud Application Manager to be English/Arabic. I then downloaded that version of Illustrator. When CC 2014 came out, it installed the English/Arabic version which defaulted my Font, Digits, and Paragraph styles to Adobe Arabic and Arabic formatting. I tried to open my New Document Profiles to change everything back, but still have the ability to switch to Arabic when I needed to, but there were a few things that would only default to Arabic (Paragraph Direction and Alignment). I have since reset my language as English (North America) and reinstalled Illustrator CC 2014. Every default is back to normal, but Arabic is no longer an option.
What do I need to do to have Arabic language support as an option, but not the default?

without ME (Middle East) edition AI is not very compatible in Arabic, but there is some clues around it.
you can try .. you might seem it worked, but writing direction, type engine has still problems with it, don't use Arabic without ME edition,
    and
Having 2 different version in CC (Creative Cloud 2014) is impossible,
so Here is how I've solved,
Photoshop > Preferences > Type > Select: Middle Eastern and South Asian
    Type Tool > Character
         Language : Arabic
         Digits : Arabic (1,2,3..)
    Type Tool > Paragraph
Switch to : Right-to-Left Paragraph Direction
         UnCheck : Hyphenate
    Fonts used: Adobe Arabic
Save you text file as PSD, and place in your AI/PDF file,
any updates in PSD will be changed in AI/PDF,
    Printed Proof, perfect !

  • Arabic language for PlayBook os 2

I'm from egypt and i use Arabic language and i heard that there are Arabic language for PlayBook but i can't git or fiend it
Please help me to install Arabic language for my PlayBook
    Thank you

    Dear Sir or Madam
I recently bought one of your products, the Blackberry Playbook. It is a great tablet and powerful. I speak English but my mother tongue is Arabic. Because I had a Blackberry phone and the Arabic language is fully supported in all blackberry phones so I thought that there will be no problem with the Playbook regarding Arabic language support.
However, unfortunately, my guess was wrong. The tablet does not support Arabic language. When using the bridge feature the Arabic letters are displayed unconnected and in the wrong direction (from the left to right instead from right to left).
This makes the Playbook useless for me in many situations, for example when presenting documents for conference.
I am writing to you to know if there is a fix for this or if you are updating the language support for the playbook in short coming time.
Please do not use the word soon, as this word lost its meaning when Google abused its use. The life of an electronic gadget is very short these days, so the full support should be available for the user to benefit from the gadget.
In addition, Blackberry phones are very popular in the Middle East and many people, which I know, said to me they will never buy the Playbook if there is no Arabic language support, (I discovered this after I bought the playbook).
If you are aiming high and looking to compete with the leading producer in the tablet market, then just look at how it is easy to change the interface language in the Apple iPad.

  • Persian (farsi) language support for Ipod nano 5G.

I could find the Arabic language support but no Persian (Farsi) support. I am wondering why Apple still does not support this language.
Also I wanted to know if there is any way that we could translate the English to Persian and add into our Ipod nano ourselves.

Apple tells everyone what languages it supports in the tech specs for its products:
    http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/specs.html
To tell them you want another one, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodnano.html
if there is any way that we could translate the English to Persian and add into our Ipod nano ourselves.
If you are talking about the user interface, the answer is no.
