Is Battery The Culprit For Macbooks RSD?

Hi I dont know if my macbook week 36 suffers from real RSD symptoms. basically my problem is that when i shut down the compr for more than 3 hours or so and then try booting up the system without the power adpater the comp keeps shutting down.
However if i plug in the adpater and then start it, its fine! This is the weirdest problem Ive ever faced and today after resetting the pmu and checking if the battery was swelled, I faced it again.
My macbook doesnt run hot and there is no noise too and I use it for hours. So do u think its the battery as the Mac center guy told me he'll replace the battery as Mac has recallled batteries for macbook.Is that true? I thought it was for G4
Howevr since its week old Ive sent a request for a new set cos I dont want headaches tho I love this baby

It could very well be coincidental, and i shared your same concern about the battery being the possible culprit, so i did as the previous poster did and ran it with AC and battery removed but i got the same results. The battery recall hasnt affected the macbooks only the powerbooks, ibooks and as a safety precaution the macbook pros as well. some have been saying that its the sensor cable, others have been saying that its the heatsinks proximity to metal parts in the upper casing that cause the short circuiting in the macbook. right now it seems that apple is simply replacing the heatsink and possibly a connection cable in lieu of the whole logicboard/heatsink combo.
I got mine back from repairs almost 3 weeks ago, and recently ive been taxing the heck out of it running 4-6 hour full CPU loads while ripping DVD's web browsing and watching a previously ripped movie simultaneously. the macbook never got higher than 66-67C and even managed to cool down just a tad to 62C with the fan on full blast on a cool hard surface. its probably not the battery, and theyll probably just replace the heatsink and possibly the logicboard if they think its defective.
