Is BBM free for me?

A few days ago, I got the new BlackBerry Curve 9360 on contract with Orange, but is BBM free for me?
So, basically this is what I already know. Every month I get:
200 minutes
Unlimited texts
Unlimited email
I can access both internet and BBM but what I want to know is first of all whether BBM is free, or included in the 'Unlimited email'. And second of all what I want to know is how much internet you get on the Dolphin Pay Monthly contract. Sorry if there's not enough info for you to tell me but I'd appreciate anyones opinions.

Check with your mobile provider and see if that is actually 'unlimited internet'... if so, your BBM is likely included in that.
But as stated above by Sdgarne, you need to ask them, to be certain.

  • BBM needs to improve BBM features for BB users.

As my username says, I am a diehard blackberry user.  While everyone jumped ship to android, I stayed.  I loved my curve and when it began to speak in tongues (ie. type gibberish, open and close programmes on its own, flip between screens) instead of switching to nokia as my rogers plan covered I paitiently waited for the white Q10.  I still love my Q10.  I still feel that BlackBerry makes great products that are both functional and durable.  However my issue with Blackberry is in how they treat loyal customers. While all my friends got Galaxy phones... I stayed with my Q10.  When BlackBerry launched the bbm4all campaign... I urged all my friends to get it despite the initial glitches... and now I'm getting frustrated.  Despite being loyal and owning a BB, doing my part to help a local company...I get ads and am unable to use timed messages or message retraction, I am unable to create a custom PIN.  I get constant reminders to rate BBM but my opinion on BBM gets worse when I get a a corporation ad in the form of a BBM invite. Despite having a BB and being a loyal BB user since the Research in Motion days... why must I pay monthly to get access to features like message retraction that up until the OS update I had for free? I am a student, I do not use BB for its security, I use my phone for texting, BBMing, taking photos, checking the weather and occasionally playing Magic: Realms... I love my Q10 for the physical keyboard and sleek design... however why does blackberry treat BB users and non-BB users as equal?  Apart from the physical keyboard and the security, what makes BB special?  BBM used to be a huge selling point for me, when they opened it to everyone BB got less special but I thought that they would keep the BBM that BBs use as an upgraded version to the BBM released for apple and android.  I assumed this when I noticed that video chat was only for BB to BB chats.  Though this particular feature is nice, it isn't terribly useful when 80% of your BBM contacts do not have BBs. I get frustrated when I type the wrong message to someone and I can't retract it without paying a monthly fee.  I get frustrated when I get ads when I am using the BBM app instead of Hub.  I understand that BB is a company and as such making money is the priority however why can they not take care of their own? My suggestion to Blackberry is to give BBM to BB users with upgraded features.  Yes the video calling feature is nice but it isn't terribly important to me.   For non-BB usersm BlackBerry should do the following:Charge a slightly higher^ monthly fee for subscriptions for timed messages/photosCharge a slightly higher monthly fee for subscriptions for message retractionCharge a slightly higher monthly fee for custom PINsCharge a slightly higher monthly fee for the removal of ads Blackberry should do the following, as a thank you to people who are loyal like myself...Remove subscriptions in the next version of BBMAllow unlimited timed messages and timed photos for freeAllow unlimited message retraction for freeMake custom PINs a one time fee Remove ads in the next version of BBM for free Due to the ratio of BB users to non-BB users I think that Blackberry skimping on approximately $24annually* / BB user would be worth it when trading for an increase in customer satisfaction. Loyalists stayed with Blackberry through everything and I think that sometimes the company forgets that without BB users there would not have been a company today.  I just feel that Blackberry's treatment of BB users doesn't reflect the dedication that we have shown the company and I just do not think that is fair.  Please Like this post if you agree.  Thank you for your time, Haley ^ $1.29 based on a small poll of non-BB users in my BBM list was considered a fair price * based on the privacy and no ads subscription monthly price of $0.99

  • Free for a Day apps - Legal to use in Configurator?

Today, several paid apps we have our eyes on to purchase for use on our classroom iPads through the VPP program are available free for the day, so I downloaded them and installed them in Apple Configurator, where they indeed show up as being free in the list of apps and can be installed on iDevices without problems.
We are concerned that somehow this is not legal to do, but I cannot find any verbiage indicating this illegality. I'm assuming that if the app is free, it is truly free, no matter how and where we use it, as we use many free apps in Configurator.
Using the same logic, if I paid for 10 copies of ComicLife through VPP yesterday, but today ComicLife is free, I could not ask for a refund.
Does anybody have any definitive information?

    Hi Derek,
Apple Configurator checks to see if the app is free at the moment you import the app into Apple Configurator. If a free app is imported and Apple Configurator finds that it is no longer free, you will be required to import VPP app codes for it. If the app is still free as you import it then it stays free forever on that particular computer. Each computer does this check independently.
    Hope this answers your question!

  • Free music is not totally free, for me

I signed up for the 12 Days of Christmas, and downloaded a few songs. But when I discovered that iTunes Store actually sent payment reciepts (card charges) for 0.00 for each and every title, I stopped downloading. Because then this music wasn't totally free, for me.
My local Norwegian bank charges me NOK 2.50 (about 0.50 USD) each and every time I use my Visa paying card, even for these 0.00-charges. So 12 "free" downloads would cost me about 6 USD.
Why do iTunes Store charge my account for downloading this "free" music? And why do you have to charge every title seperatly?
    Message was edited by: Sardine's

The receipt confirms your transaction with the iTunes store. I'd be very surprised if Apple tried to collect NOK 0.00 from your credit card. If on the other hand you've had a statment with a NOK 2.50 charge for NOT transfering funds then I would both complain to your Credit Card company and report the issue to iTunes Feedback.

  • Why is visual voicemail free for iPhone but not for other phones?

I recently activated an iPhone on my line -- temporarily -- and found that visual voicemail was included and didn't cost a dime. Can anyone explain why visual voicemail is free for iPhones but if you want it for any other phone it bears a monthly charge?

Also VVM is also free for everyone. The $2.99 is for the premium version. You can search the FAQ and there's a pricing list and shows what you get.

  • Payment Block field in invoice displays 'Free for payment 'even though ?

    Hi,
We have set necessary upper tolerance limit for Price & Quantity variance in OMR6.This should block invoice for payment in case if this limit is crossed and payment block field in invoice should display "R Invoice verification".
In our case if material is having standard price then we are getting desired results in both the cases of Quantity variance and price variance . However in case of  material with moving average price it works fine in quantity variance but not for price variance(Here invoice gets blocked for payment but payment block field displays "free for payment").What can be probable reason for this?
Material ledger is activated in our case.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjog

    Hi,
Currently, we are also facing the same problem.
The payment term are not getting populated after posting the invoice.
Could you please help to overcome the issue.
    Thank you.

  • Is it possible to get MS Office free for mac?

It is possible to get MS Office free for Mac?

Not legally. And in all honesty, people take a pretty dim view on this forum of those that want something for nothing. Not judging, just saying.
If you want a free production suite (similar to Office, that opens .docx and .xlsx files, etc) then take a look at Openoffice, which is an open-source solution.

  • If bought NI USB-6800 device, is Measurement Studio free for dev?

If bought a NI USB-6800 device, is Measurement Studio free for VC++ development?
Do I need to buy the Measurement Studio license?
Or is there another way to do the VC++ development? Such as via some free dll or ocx library.
Plus I noticed that there are UNIX/Linux drivers about NI USB-6800 device, but there is no document about C/C++ development under UNIX/Linux!
Can I do the development with NI USB-6800 device under UNIX/Linux?
An individual human existence should be like a river - small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past boulders and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.

  • Is it possible to make some apps free for a limited duration?

I've been using apps both on the Android market and iTunes store.I've noticed that some apps
such as "Whatsapp messenger" which are free across all markets are paid apps on iTunes store.
It would be wonderful if such apps were free for iOS users also.So is it posible to make an app free
for iOS users also? If not, atleast is it possible to make it free for a limited duration?

Just FYI, Whatsapp is not free indefinitely even on Android phones. They give a one-year trial period after which you have to pay per year for the subscription (a miniscule amount, but you have to pay nonetheless), whereas with the iOS app you pay once up front and then don't have to pay again. So in the long run, the iOS version comes out cheaper (at least unless Whatsapp changes their pricing model). And also just FYI, Whatsapp doesn't work on the iPod touch, only on the iPhone.
In any case, as planb77 said, pricing is totally up to the developer of the app. It's completely the developer's choice what price to charge for an app.
    Regards.

  • Same apps free for other platforms but paid for Wi...

Recently purchased a Lumia 920, and quite satisfied so far. But I have observed that several apps/games which are free on other platforms like Android and iOS are actually not free for Windows Phone. For example, the entire Angry birds series is free for other platforms, but they're paid for Windows Phone. What is the reason behind this? And when Microsoft are trying hard to promote their Windows Phone OS, why are they so greedy that they charge for apps/games which are totally free on other platforms?

Contact the developer or MS on that one. Some games and apps would of been free for a time or there is opportunity's when these go free for a certain period.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
